JOYCE DANG
Art Director of Field Trip & Co
linkedin.com/in/joycedang
A few weeks ago, our class had an interesting talk with Alison M Garnett and Joyce Dang - designers from Field Trip & Co. Through their presentation, I know more about designers' work environments and get some idea about the work that a designer has to do every day.
About Alison
Alison has a degree in arts and media from OCAD College and Sheridan College. After years of experience in this field, in 2017, she and her friend launched Field Trip & Co.
About Joyce
Joyce is currently the Art Director of Field Trip & Co. She graduated from the design program in York University. She has won the Adobe Student Award for packaging design in her final year.
About Field Trip & Co
Field Trip & Co is a Toronto-based creative studio. Their work focuses on branding and offering solutions to different platforms.
Comparison between Large Design Agency and Small Design Studio
Worked at large design companies and now manages a small studio, Alison and Joyce gave a very detailed comparison of these two work environments.
About Work Scale
In Large Design Agency, the big project will be divided into small sub-projects, and you will work with this small project. So you will have less room for creativity. Besides, work must follow the progress of the whole team, so you have to work at a fast pace. If the company has many offices, you will have the opportunity to travel to different offices to work.
Small Design Studio will have a bigger range of project and you will have to handle most of the project stages. You will have the opportunity to interact with diverse clients from different fields. Working in this environment, you will have the opportunity to experience different types of work.
About the Culture
The big company has so many people; the relationships also become more principles. Besides, you also can't avoid the gossip girls in your workplace.
Meanwhile, working in a small company, you will have the opportunity to be close to your colleagues, helping each other as a family.
About the Team
Large Company has a lot of people, a lot of titles, and a lot of acronyms. People work in multiple offices and they often discuss work through conference calls.
In Small Design Studio, the team member just include Creative Director/ Account manager, Art Director/ PM, Designer, UX/UI Designer, Copy Writer, and Developer.
About the Clients
Working in Large Design Agency, you will not be able to receive feedback directly from clients. Only senior employees have access to the client and you will get the chain of command from them.
Working in a small studio, you can build a deeper relationship with the client and get direct feedback from them.
About Stresses
In Large Company, you can get pressures from lots of bosses, work hours, traveling, office politics and time management.
In Small Studio, you will have to balance your work and personal life because your work must be flexible and you may have to work on the weekend. If you want to take sick days it will be harder because no one can replace you on the day you leave.
Conclusion
The comparison of the two speakers was very helpful; it helped me to have the concept of different working environments. I think I should start a job at a small-scale company; where I can learn more and have the opportunity to hands-on with different aspects. After gaining experience from a small company, I can explore my strengths and decide what a suitable working environment is for me

ALOKE PILLAI
Founder of Chachu
Co-Founder of Pastel HQ and HustleCase
https://www.linkedin.com/in/alokepillai/
The guest speaker came to our class this week is Aloke Pillai. He is an art enthusiast and has helped many entrepreneurs by designing to develop their brand. His presentation has inspired me in starting up a design business.
Aloke was born in India and moved to Canada when he was 10 years old. He loved art when he was a child. Besides, he also has a lot of ideas about business. He graduated from the York Sheridan Design Program and received two design awards for GSMA's UX Design and Wikipedia redesign contest while at university. He went through several internships before becoming the founder and co-founder of successful design firms including Chachu, Pastel and Hustle Case.
His Presentation:
1/ “Take a hard look at the cards you’ve been dealt”
According to Aloke, understanding our strengths will help us develop our work. We can detect those strengths from other people's feedback. Noting those things down and making those skills stronger, we will develop our own design capabilities.
This is the thing I need to improve. I have not really tried to develop my own strengths before. That will limit my ability and make me lag behind, so I need to change myself to exploit my potential even more.
2/ “Define your own opportunities”
This is an interesting point in Aloke's presentation about using email as a tool to find your dream job in a great company. Here are the steps we need to take:
Find a company that you want to work with
Research about their values
Think about the solutions that help them improve their products (ex: improve UX/UI design)
Email to the CEO of this company and suggest the new solutions and give some specific questions
*** You must show them that you have a passion for their value and want to share your idea to help them improve ***
3/ “Thinking long terms is a gift”
The important thing when we design a product is to wait patiently for how it works. We need to spend time observing how others use their products and their assessments. That will give us more chances to improve our product.
Conclusion:
Aloke is a passionate designer and entrepreneur. He gave me the inspiration for starting a business as well as the very interesting experiences that he accumulated during his work. I believe that what you share will help me to exploit my abilities and be more successful at work.

FIELD TRIP TO THE WEATHER NETWORK
https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca
About The Weather Network
Last week, I had a very interesting tour to The Weather Network - a company that provides weather information for all Canada, US and UK territories using their responsive websites, apps, and television networks.
About the trip
Before the trip, I felt very excited. This is my first chance to visit a real company in Canada, see the working environment and see how the employees doing their job. Moreover, this is a weather app that I like and use often, it's great to have a chance to visit The Weather Network’s headquarter and see how it works.
My first impression of The Weather Network office is that the lobby space is very nice and bright because it is surrounded by glass walls. Here, people can observe the weather phenomena happening around them. We were welcomed and taken on a tour by Brittany Kroeker and Ryan O'Brien, members of The Weather Network. Through the presentation of their background and their responsibilities in this company, I can better understand the work of a designer and the skills needed to be able to work at such a big and professional company. We were guided to visit the offices with different functions such as technical room, studio, design room, etc. The place we enjoyed the most was the studio. We explored more about filming and rendering techniques. Besides, we also witnessed real filming with a weather forecaster. I discovered that the backstage of the filming was completely different from what we were watching on TV. The weather forecaster stood on the plain green background and pointed at the backdrop as if there was a real weather map on this backdrop. The weather forecaster has no script but only speaks on his understanding. That was so amazing!
Leaving the studio, we were taken to the Club House, the workplace of designers and developers. This is an open space for employees to easily discuss work and brainstorming. This is also our last stop at The Weather Network.
My experience
At the end of the trip, I had wonderful experiences. I was satisfied with what I expected of the trip. Seeing the working environment and how to work here, I can imagine my work in the future. In addition, I also learned some experiences of people working here. It was an interesting and rewarding trip.

MUDITA SHEKHAWAT
Partner Program Manager from Freshbooks
https://www.linkedin.com/in/mudita-shekhawat-43067836/
Last week, we had Mudita Shekhawat, a Partner Program Manager from Freshbooks, come to our class and she had a small talk about her company.
About Freshbooks
Freshbook is a cloud of accounting software designed for small business and self-employed ones. Founded in 2003, Freshbooks is now being used by more than 24 million people around the world. By using this software, users can easily track their client list, manage the time and budget they will spend on each project. In addition, they can create invoices that match their needs with the tools that this software provides. This is useful software. It can save all your work in cloud, so you can access and use it anywhere. This may be the software that can help us manage our grad show project.
Mudita also gave us a free account on FreshBooks and we can use it till the end of 2019. That is a great opportunity to discover great software.
What I’ve learned about her presentation:
Talking about project management, Mudita said in each project, we always have to balance between project scope, time and budget depending on the conditions we have. For example, when we have too little time for the project, we have to adjust the amount of work we want and need to do. This is also what I am facing when I work on school projects. I need to understand the conditions I currently have and balance them to complete the project logically. If I only think and manage everything in my head, I might forget many things, so I need to write down and calculate them in a specific way. And software like Freshbooks was created to help me track my work more efficiently and save more time.
Mudita also mentioned future recruitment trends. According to Mudita, companies will increase the recruitment of employees and freelancers, which is a good opportunity for designers like me to run my own business. In order to develop my business, I need to understand how to manage my business professionally from customer lists, time and budget for projects, finance and billing settings, etc. So I think that trying to use FreshBooks for school projects will help me get more work management experience and that can be helpful for me to manage my future business.

SARONY BLACKLOCK
Lead Media Designer at TuesdayAfternoon Media Inc
Graduated from Sheridan Web Design program from 2016
https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarony-blacklock-11622272/
http://saronyblacklock.tumblr.com/
After the holiday, I started a new semester of web design. The first visitor to our class this term was Sarony Blacklock with her 2 superiors - Graeme Maitland (Production Manager) and Peter Sicard (Head of Production). They had a very interesting talk to share useful experiences on how to work and how to perform ourselves at work. Through the talk, I gained more knowledge about a new aspect of web design as well as more ideas for building my portfolio.
Sarony Blacklock graduated from Sheridan web design program in 2016. After graduating, she worked at TuesdayAfternoon Media Inc and is now Lead Media Designer at this company.
Sarony started her presentation with the concept of E-learning – The electronic education facilities that students do not need to go to a traditional classroom. It is also the products that TuesdayAfternoon Media has been providing. For me, this is a fairly new aspect and I never thought what a web designer would have to do in this area. The speaker helped me understand better by showing the tasks that Media Designer must do as follows:
Web-based training modules
Motion Graphic Video
Instructor – lead Training Decks
Manager handbooks
Proof of concept for Pitches
As a Media Designer, she gave an experience that we can learn and use more software for work than we have learned at school. It is a very practical idea because going to work does not mean stopping learning but we have to learn more and more every day. Through examples of projects she has done, she proved that there are many types of jobs that a web designer must do, not just designing. Sarony also mentioned another interesting experience when studying web design. When she started the first semester, she only limitedly thought about the work of a web designer, but as she went deeper in the program, she realized that there were many ways to work as a web designer. This is really what I'm going through, especially when I met guests speaker in this ProTopic class, I realized that I could develop myself in different directions based on the basis that I have learned. Sarony also encourages us not to worry about positioning ourselves in the industry. Because when you work at a company, you will have the opportunity to interact with many different areas, using a variety of skills, then you will determine your strengths and what kind of work that you really like.
The following are the soft skills needed in the work that Sarony shares with us:
Stay organized: always organize files and folders on your computer in an organized way so that you or your team can access them easily.
Be nice: Always be happy with everyone and they will also be open to you and ready to help you
Speak up: tell others what problems you are having so they can give you good ideas and vice versa, you can also help them with your ideas.
At the end of the talk, 3 guests answered a number of questions regarding recruitment and how to perform yourself in the interview. Peter Sicard said that employers need to not only see the working skills of designers, but they also want to see their positive attitude and desire to learn. That is a very important factor that I need to remember for the job interviewing.
Having the opportunity to hear the practical experiences of visitors coming from TuesdayAfternoon, I have learned more useful things. Previously, it was difficult for me to learn how to use new tools, I felt more comfortable using the software that I was familiar with. But after listening to the guests' comments, I found myself needing to learn more new things.

KEITH DURRANT
CEO of Ecentricarts
Graduated from Ryerson University and York University
https://www.linkedin.com/in/keithdurrant/
https://twitter.com/keith_durrant
The guest speaker came to our class this week with a very interesting and informative presentation. He is Keith Durrant – CEO of Ecentricarts. After listening to his presentation, I learned a lot about the industry I was studying as well as the instructions for job hunting. I find that information very important, it shows me the real experience from my predecessor, who has spent many years in the profession; it also helps me to aware what I need to do while studying to prepare for my future career.
About Ecentricarts
Keith started the presentation with a short video about the Ecentricarts community and their working teams. They do not work individually but they have a connection with each other; this shows that teamwork skills are very important in this work environment. Ecentricarts is a full-service digital marketing agency, which was founded in 2000 by Keith Durrant. This company specializes in strategy, design, accessibility, and development with nearly 20 years of experience and has implemented more than 1200 projects.
They offer:
Discovery and strategy
UX, UI, QA
Web development and integrations
Digital Marketing
Through his detailed presentation of the workflow and work process, I find that there is a great deal of work to be done from the beginning to the end of a project and that requires a lot of skills as well as the alignment of the groups together to complete the work. I know that the skills I have may not be enough, but I believe the real working environment will give me the opportunity to interact with many different teams and learn more from them. The interesting thing about teamwork that Durrant showed us is the sharing of knowledge between groups. That cooperation helps to make the workflow better and better.
Durrant also compares the traditional process with the agile process. In the traditional process, the client and the team work together at the beginning of the project, they come up with all the ideas and then the rest of the work is done by the team. After all the steps have been completed, the client returns for evaluation and editing. But in an agile process, customers join with the team in each step to evaluate and modify. That is repeated in the process of the process. This allows for more feedback, leading to faster and more efficient work.
Tips for Job hunting
As a person with many years of experience in recruiting, Durrant has provided us with some useful tips in finding a job.
The final project is very important to the decision of the employer. So you need to refine it and don’t make it snobby or mistakes in grammar.
“Quality over quantity “. Employers will look at your portfolio very quickly, so you need to impress them with excellent products instead of showing too many mediocre products.
Communication is important. Employers want to know your capabilities through the way you present the projects you have done. You need to clearly present your ideas, the methods you show in your project, and the reason you choose them.
Research about the company before you come to the interview and always have some question for the interviewer. It shows how interested you are in this job and your researching of the company.
Never be shy asking for money but you must understand your value.
Having a chance to listen to Durrant's lecture, I find myself having a lot to learn. Durrant gave me a lot of useful information and tips, helping me to prepare myself for the actual job. I would like to have more opportunities to learn more from predecessors like Durrant

SABAA QUAO
President and Co-Founder of /newsrooms
Co-founder and Executive Director of Filminute
Graduated from Concordia University, OCAD University and Univerity of Toronto
linkedin.com/in/sabaa
https://twitter.com/xsabaa
About the Guest
The guest speaker who came to our class this week had a very interesting presentation about career orientation and how to work in the advertising industry. He is Sabaa Quao, an entrepreneur, creative director, and business strategist. He is President and Co-Founder of /newsrooms - a network dedicated to providing continuous content marketing and social media coverage for brands; he is also a co-founder and Executive Director of Filminute, the international one-minute film festival, and he has about 20 years of experience working with many different clients in different areas. His background is really impressed with the combination of marketing and design. It is a great advantage for him to develop his career in the advertising industry.
Lessons from Sabaa Quao
First of all, he emphasized the importance of defining our personal ability because that helps us choose the right job and persevere with it. Through the example of Spider-Man, his origin story, Sabaa concluded that knowing our origin story (our abilities, our circumstances, and our goals) makes it easier to understand what you might do next.
Observation of change is also very important in choosing a career. It helps you get on with the flow. Sabaa showed us some of the data about the percentage of time spent in Media vs the percentage of advertising spending. These statistics show that forms of communication such as Print, Radio, TV are trending outdated, only mobile is on the rise. That means that mobile is a field that will provide more job opportunities in the future and that is a good opportunity for us, the web designers because we are choosing the right way. He also drew attention to the point that the desktop web will decline, mobile web is growing, so, think of the mobile design first.
His tagline is also impressed me: “Creativity is the most important resource on the planet”. That is the special thing we have to build something from the empty space. So I think I have to use that particular thing effectively.
Conclusion
I found that Sabaa Quao's talk is really helpful. It helps me learn how to exploit my values and how to choose the right career. In addition, he shared interesting experiences in his career that I thought would help me when I started my career. How’s a great opportunity for me to meet this guest!

DYLAN BOBIER
Designer at Critical Mass
Sheridan Web Design Alumna from 2016-2017
https://dylanbobier.ca

GILLIAN ALEXANDER
Designer at Critical Mass
Sheridan Web Design Alumna from 2016-2017
http://gillianalexander.ca
https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-alexander/
Last week, our class had 2 guests who came and had an interesting presentation about their work and their experiences in web design jobs. They are Dylan Bobier and Gillian Alexander. They studied the same course with Amy and Anya – our previous guests, and graduated from Sheridan's web design program a year ago. Interestingly, their backgrounds are quite similar to mine - fashion design. Dylan has a bachelor degree in theater production and costume design from the University of Toronto. He designed the costumes for various theater programs. After deciding to study and graduating in web design at Sheridan, he joined Critical Mass as an intern and then he became an official designer here. He has been working for CM for nearly 2 years. Through his online portfolio, he represents himself as a talented designer with aesthetically pleasing ability and creativity. Besides, the websites he designs also show a very effective interaction with the users, which is also what I need to learn. Gillian graduated from visual merchandising art, Sheridan in 2016 and continued her studies in web design. She has many years of experience working in the fashion field. After graduating from web design program, she worked at NIIT as a UX / UI designer and later joined Critical Mass.
In the talk, Dylan and Gillian talked about the company they were working on - Critical Mass, and the projects they had done. At the same time, they also share with me a lot of useful work experience in web design. First, they introduced Critical Mass, a full-service digital experience design. This is a large company with more than 950 employees working in 11 countries around the world. They have provided many brand solutions to many big and famous customers such as Infinity, Mercedes Benz, Rolex, Gucci, etc. for many years. Dylan has shown us the criteria of Critical Mass through which I can learn how to work as a professional design company:
Rising tides lift all ships: When you work with a team with many different areas, you can help each other and learn from each other. This helps the job to be completed effectively and also a good opportunity for you to develop yourself.
Own your mistakes, learn from them and don’t make them again: Making a mistake is not necessarily bad. It is your chance to gain experience and opportunity to learn to do better and not make the same mistake again.
Never stop ideating: That's the way you can create new things to impress your customers and get them to choose your designs.
** One important thing that he reminded is consumers are really concerned in how your design influences their brand. Your design does not satisfy your taste but must reflect the image of the customer.
Dylan also outlined Critical Mass's mission is to improve the lives of their users in a meaningful way. It is also an important mission of a designer because if we do not focus on our customer’s needs, our work is no longer meaningful.
During the rest of the talk, Dylan presented us with some of the projects he did with his group at Critical Mass. The most recent project he has made is the 2019 INFINITI QX50 with the main purpose of approaching this new car product to the Canadian market through digital. His work on this project includes UX & UI design, ideation, animation, Facebook AR. These works require a lot of skills accumulated during his working and learning. The Canadian 150 project, which Bobier participated in as UI design, Illustration and Social, was very impressive. This is a highly interactive website with great colors and impressive content. I enjoyed the idea of this site. It presents the necessary information, showing the sophistication and intelligence of the designer.
A very good experience that I learned from Bobier was never said "no". If you do not know to do something during the work, always say "yes" and try to find out later. It is a great opportunity for you to learn new things and you may have more chances to get the promotion in your career.
I learned a lot from Bobier’s work experience as well as design ideas, especially about UI design. I hope that after graduation, I will be equipped with the knowledge to be able to enter a professional working environment and have the opportunity to learn more things.

DEREK WOOLLAM
Senior Mobile Designer at The Weather Network
Sheridan Web Design Alumna from 2011-2012
Woollam’s Linkedin
It was a great opportunity to have a meeting with Derek Woollam, the guest that came to our Professional Topic Class this Tuesday. Indeed, graduating from web design program opens up many job opportunities in many types and different positions. Woollam's presentation helped me to explore a new and exciting aspect in web design industry.
Before becoming a web designer, Derek Woollam spent a long time as a photographer and teacher in English. After that, he decided to study web design. He graduated from Web Design Program at Sheridan College 6 years ago and he has been worked as a designer for The Weather Network from 2012. Currently, he is taking the position of Senior Designer at this company. 6 years working in only one company and the only goal is to develop one product that does not seem to be boring but gives him a lot of useful experience. He has gone through 3 different positions, working with 3 different teams and so he has the opportunity to learn more.
His presentation focuses on sharing work experience and how to develop an interactive product through a survey about The Weather Network app. About the work experience, he gave us some useful tips for job interview such as showing the process of the projects and being prepared for all the questions about that projects, knowing who’s in the interview, researching the company that helps you to express your interest in that company, and the over-preparation is also necessary. In these tips, what impacted me the most was the presentation of projects in detail. In previous interviews, I often lacked of the preparation for presenting my projects. It was confusing when I was asked about the project implementation process or the product details I used to make. I think that is a good experience that I need to apply for future interviews. In addition, Woollam also gives me practical experience in the product design process. That process involves empathizing, defining, brainstorming, ideating, prototyping, and product testing. I think these are the basic steps in the design process that I will certainly apply in my work later.
After sharing the work experience of a web designer, he let us participate in an interesting survey, from which he gave me some ideas on how to develop a digital app. The content of the survey focused on collecting the user's opinion of The Weather Network app, then using the brainstorming method to select the best solutions for the app. Through that survey, I noticed that UX, UI plays an important role in the process of building an app, bringing success to the product. That's also what I'm learning in the web design course.
What impresses me about Derek Woollam is that he is developing The Weather Network app, a familiar app that I use every day and I find it a very convenient app that suits the needs of everyone. In addition to providing practical advice and practical experience, he is also a source of encouragement for me to study. Like me, he also started his web design course with little experience in design. But after graduation, he succeeded in his favorite job so I believe I could do the same like him.

ANYA HAMMAN
Artist . Designer . Art Director
Sheridan Web Design Alumna from 2016-2017
Designer at Publicis
http://anyahamman.com
Anya Hamman is the next guest who came to my class last Tuesday. This was a wonderful chance for me to learn more about building skills for my future work as well as give me more ideas for job opportunities after graduating this Web Design program.
Anya Hamman graduated from the same Web Design Program (2016-2017) with Amy Aschaber – the guest who came in the first week. She has a passion for art and she has a Master's degree in Fine art in the US, and then she decides to study Web Design at Sheridan College, which opens the door for her to explore her real desire. She learned a lot from this course and it supported her in her current job in Publicis
First of all, she shows me the importance of creating a personal website where I can show my personal style through my artwork to impress the employer. A significant recommendation when choosing the content of my website is to choose the products that I feel most proud to show to ensure that when asked about those projects, I am completely confident to present it. Exploring more from her personal website, I discovered a lot of good things that I need to learn:
She is a good designer who has a good way to organize her page and projects, and she always leaves her own mark in each project.
I am very impressed that she has brought all the knowledge she has learned in school to her design products. These are marketing knowledge, digital typography, interactive design which I am also learning about.
Her website products are very interactive, elegant design style, simple, and neat but contains much needed information, which is also my design goals for the future projects.
After talking about her own website, Hamman gives us some information about Publicis, where she is working and some products she has done here. Publicis is a full-services agency that provide marketing solutions that help brands reach their customers effectively. Their market is huge and they are the reputable provider of well-known brands. Hamman also showed us some projects that she was involved in as a web designer while working here such as Reb Lobster, Citi Bank, Walmart, Dairy Queen. She also summarizes some advices that helpful for our future jobs:
Follow the rules that the brands have already set, though it does not always get you excited, but it will help you to explore how to break to rules in the right way.
Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are important skills that you need to improve everyday
Presentation is also a necessary skill that make the clients understand and choose your design. So it’s very important to explain everything in your design in detailed and clear way.
Finally, Anya Hamman made a small comparison between being a designer for a client site and being an agency so that I can get some ideas about 2 different areas. While working in a client site, you only work with a single client and not too much work, working as an agency is completely different. As an agency, you will work with many clients, so you have to be fast and flexible. But you will have more materials to build your portfolio. That are things that we should consider when choosing the field of work.
Meeting Anya Hamman is a good opportunity for me to understand another aspect of web design. I have received many useful tips and learn more experience working as well as experience building your personal website. I feel very excited to see how she applies what she has learned at school to her work and I hope that I can do like her after this program.

AMY ASCHABER
Associate Director of Marketing and Creative at Cycura Inc
Sheridan Web Design Alumna from 2016-2017
Last Tuesday I and my classmates had the opportunity to meet Amy Aschaber - the first speaker of Professional Topics, who had an interesting talk about motivation in learning Web Design. Her talk gave me an insight into the opportunities of web design as well as how to train myself to be a successful person in this field. I felt myself having more inspiration after her talk.
Aschaber is a former student of web design at Sheridan and is currently an Associate Director of Marketing and Creative at Cycura Inc – a company that provide cyber security solutions. Before joining the field of art, she had studied Philosophy, German studies, Law, but she said her best decision was to engage in web design. Working in the field, she has the opportunity to learn more about not only design skills but also to improve her teamwork skills, work with clients and manage herself. As a predecessor, she has learned from her experiences in the process of learning and working, and then she gave tips for success that I find very useful for me:
Be responsible with your work
Show works early to get good feedbacks from teachers/ clients, then you will have more chances to fix it.
Volunteer and make friend, that are helpful and supportive for you
Make connections in all areas of work that you have the opportunity to meet
Training your personality because the employer is very interested in that
In addition, she gave me an idea of the importance of Portfolio and Resume, which I had to prepare since I was still in school. In addition, building relationships with customers is also a concern. When we build a good relationship with our customers, we will have useful contacts that can support our work later. Aschaber also gives an opinion on the financial development responsibility for the company that will give us the opportunity to increase our salaries and develop our working environment.
What impressed me most in Aschaber's presentation was the initiative to capture the opportunities to connect with the people around. Having a good relationship with many people in different areas is important because they can become our potential customers or our supporters in areas we have little knowledge about. My major defect is the lack of confidence in contact with others. I'm not interested in building relationships with the people I just contacted. That made me lose a lot of opportunities to connect and develop my work. The speaker reminded me to network with many people that useful for my job later.
I began to feel that this Professional Topics course is quite useful and I am looking forward to meeting with many other speakers to learn more from them.
