Well, almost empty

Inanna is pacing the room and crying and howling

The bed is made

All your things are gone

And the bag of myrrh is sitting on the table

He slowly walks to the table and picks up the bag, tears in his eyes

Why would you purposely leave?

And on top of that, why would you want to forget him?

What did he do?

Did he scare you? Offend you?

He breaks down in sobs and Inanna licks his face, trying to comfort him between her own howls

He eventually goes to Asra and cries his heart out to him

Unfortunately there’s nothing Asra can do, he doesn’t want to interfere with you or your affairs

Muriel comes out of his gut a lot less often

And trusts even less

WHAT THE LITERAL F*** IS MORGA, WHAT IS LUCIO/MONTAG WTF WTF WTAF IT'S GIVNG ME DEVIL MARKING VIBES ESPECIALLY WITH THOSE EYES!

Why the actual shizz is he after a heart so bad, first of all I thought it was to get a body together so he can inhabit or something but Morga mentioning that he's done this before makes me think that the deal he made had something to do with giving the devil a body into the real world, years before all of this happened

Adding onto that last part, whatever's going on it's some serious shizz

Boo looks like he's gonna cry and I want to hug him and give him a kiss so bad gosh darn it!!

I'm so glad we had that option to give him the choice in going after Lucio rather than making that decision for him, he's spent so long with others deciding for him that I'm just so happy we got to say this is your choice Muriel

I'm so looking forward to the next update, and I'm pretty sure that Lucio's route is gonna be weird, like what the LITERAL heck has he done all together!

They stood on the beach, the ocean filling the silence between them, the waves barely reaching their feet, the spray tickling at their ankles. Edith remained quiet, arms wrapped around herself as she felt Asra watch her, his violet eyes drifting between her and his feet. Finally she couldn’t take the silence any longer, shifting to face him, blue eyes narrowing as he began to wither under her piercing gaze. 

 “Edith-” 

“How could you!” She exclaimed, cutting off whatever apology he was attempting to craft, hot tears trailing down her face as she felt a sob bubble up within her throat. All this time of not knowing who she was, he knew all along…another secret hidden away, another lie from his lips, it took her breath away as she crumbled to the sandy shore, curling deeper into herself. The sun finally setting beneath the waves, the Lazaret dimly outlined in flaming reds and oranges, a splitting headache beginning to blossom between her eyes at the sight. Asra quickly knelt to the ground in front of her, hands outstretched, gently cupping her face, causing Edith to stiffen at the touch, gaze shifting to look at him, surprised at the tears that were dripping down his face. Her anger began to diminish with each pound of her head, darkness bleeding into her vision as he brushed away one of her tears. 

 “I-I wasn’t trying to hurt you…” Asra said softly, easing her closer to him, resting her forehead against his chest, Edith letting loose a ragged breath, inhaling his scent.

 “If you find these things out to quickly you get hurt…you reset yourself…I didn’t want that…this! I can’t keep losing you!” He cried out, burying his face into her hair, her soft sobs turning to whimpers as she shifted to grip onto his shirt, an attempt to anchor herself as her head felt as if it could split in two. 

 “Asra…” Edith managed to murmur, her tears drying on her cheeks as she tipped her head away from him, Asra shifting to stare down at her, his hands now finding her shoulders as she stared back at him. The hurt still shined in her eyes as she faced him, her hands falling from his shirt as felt herself beginning to slip.

 “Before I wake up…when I forget again…I want you to promise me that you won’t keep hiding things from me, that you’ll be more honest…” She whispered, eyes fluttering as Edith struggled to continue, glad that his hands were keeping her upright.

 “Don’t make me not trust you…don’t let this feeling stay within me…Asra, please…” Edith begged, voice growing softer as her eyes closed, head bowing forward as all strength left her body.

“I love you…”

These are amazing

usually I’m all “let’s talk about beauty standards and the unrealistic expectation they set for women” but hear me out about Gibson Girls

in the late 19th/early 20th century, this one dude, Charles Gibson, drew tons of illustrations of these ladies

they’re considered a “beauty ideal” because they all pretty much have one body type–huge, piled up hair, adding to their already statuesque height, long necks, corseted waists blooming into broad skirts BUT

a lot of that had to do with ushering in a new cultural ideal, the “New Woman,” who was encouraged to be more athletic and embrace her physicality more than previous decades

also if you’re not already swooning, the Gibson Girl is frequently seen honing her skills. here she is playing the violin:

ALSO these works were laced with satire and social commentary. Check out “The Weaker Sex”:

she is depicted as intelligent, aloof, absorbed in her aspirations to reach beyond what society has so far granted her, and not content to marry off quickly

(^^every time I look at this picture I say “me” about a different figure)

she’s also super in touch with her sexuality

these drawings maintain somewhat of a tongue-in-cheek, self-aware quality, as if aware that the “ideal” being sold is attainable and even somewhat odd

look here’s an acknowledgement of her vanity, but life can be shitty but at least she looks hot af while livin it

anyway there’s so much more to this than “some illustrator dude drew his ideal woman over and over and then it became a beauty ideal like the ones we’re familiar with today” Gibson did a remarkable job capturing a sentiment among women in a period of great change and chose to highlight their strength and their agency

and i’m so glad this exists:
