The hate MCU Hawkeye gets and the fact that even in his series he most likely will be overshadowed and just passing his torch proves how dirty Marvel and Joss Whedon did Clint. He deserved so much better than just having a family thrown at him and being send right into retirement.

With Seki Hiromi as a supervisor, the plot probably going full circle to the 02 epilogue and the movie being probably only 2 hours long with 5 mins of Hikari/Takeru and Mimi/Izzy the chances for a canon Koumi/Takari are really small and I just made myself sad. Like I knew but still meh.

I can’t help but wish natasha romanoff got to fight on the battlefield w her family, she deserved the win after all the pain she’s pushed on through. she deserved to realise she had already wiped her ledger clean.

Confirming the multiverse means confirming Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark are ALIVE. 

Steve Rogers didn’t do THAT. 

Clint Barton has no family. 

Natasha and Clint could be a thing.

The Russos had the chance to do him right but failed him deeply. He is much more than a random, underdeveloped, arc-less , retired family man and had all the potential to become the Clint we love

Another note about Endgame. I just want to say that although it’s been years since Joss Whedon had any involvement in the series, Endgame served as a reminder of how he just did not understand Hawkeye as a character. Seriously, the Russo Brothers let Jeremy Renner shine in this movie and we get to see traces of the Clint Barton that we know and love. But it still felt like the shadow of Whedon loomed over his character.

The Human Disaster Clint Barton we want to see is there, the problem is the character is still carrying the baggage of Age of Ultron and the first Avengers movie. Like, you can tell Jeremy wants to do the regular guy, sarcastic, heart-of-the-team Clint Barton but he’s still stuck with the retired family man backstory that Whedon gave him. I’m hoping that in his Hawkeye series, the showrunners will let Jeremy actually go allout with a comic-accurate Clint.

We’re almost there based on how he was in Endgame, just needs a bit more tweaking.
