"It's all about the Edges" I said. "Damn skippy" said the Biologist. "Right on" said the engineer. "You got that right" said the influencer. "Yup, attack surfaces" said the pen tester. "Always" said the gamer. "Unfortunately" said the anthropologist. "You're kind of right, but I can't prove it either way" said the string theorist. "Oh Sister!" said Jeff the dominatrix. "Don't get me started" said Mack the knife. Header Image by https://visualicious.cgsociety.org/

After watching her in Wicked, I feel bad for watching Ariana Grande in Scream Queens Season One (2016) and calling her a bad actress. She was wonderful.
She’s a great actress, she was just coping with Ryan Murphy.
Which so many actors have been dealing with?

I’m not old or anything, but I actually own a 9 Track Tape Drive, and have tapes with code on them that I wrote.
And I kept one of those hard drive platters as a memento.

The haiku robot doesn’t always get it right, but makes a good try
Life is pain they say, the natural condition, but why should that be?
Being tolerant of pain doesn’t mean you should have to endure it.

Sorry, no. I do wish the picture had higher resolution I can identify, and in most cases operate everything else in the picture.
It’s kind of really bugging me a lot.

Thank you for saying what I was thinking better than I could. As I would expect from Mr. clevernickname.

I wept when I saw the love the Walz family has for one another. I was so happy for Gus Walz, and so envious, too, that he was raised by a man who taught him it's okay to feel strong emotions, to be overcome with joy, to publicly show how much you love your family.
These disgusting, weak, terrified little bullies who attacked him just beclowned themselves and showed the world how small they are.
As someone elsewhere said, in a world full of Kyle Rittenhouses, be a Gus Walz.

Yes. Yes it is.
Pros of soldering:
You can fix so many things
Playing with hot metal is fun
Helps you appreciate how bullshit planned obsolescence is
Save money on musical instrument work
Cons of soldering:
Inevitably someone will react in horror to the notion you have existed in the same room as lead

As far as I know, he’s the only president that’s taken tools to hand to dismantle an unshielded nuclear power core.
A lot of people never knew that President Carter was also a nuclear engineer. In the navy, he was assigned to clean up one of the first big nuclear meltdowns at the NRS research reactor at Chalk River, Ontario back in 1962. He designed a clean up plan and he personally along with 23 other 20 something’s went into that reactor to dismantle and clean it up. They all did their work in 90 second shifts but still ended up with pretty heavy exposure.
It’s theorized that it was during that time that his superpowers first began to manifest.

I collect things that interest me, some things I cherish. Mostly bits, I’ve got like 70 TB of those. Lots of boxes of parts of projects that I’ll never live to finish. Lots of regrets and sadness (that consume a not insignificant amount my available soul). Way too many electronic components/computers. Some very old books and stereographs. Some of my kids old kid clothes (they make remarkable memory triggers). The first few computers I built and the handset coupled modem. Some of my old keyboards (like the 90s era, Adesso split keyboard that lasted me long enough to make 2 million $ with it even though at the end, most of the keys were just polished smooth). All my old character sheets going back to the 70’s. The memories of my old best friends, the companionship of my current best friends. The feelings of pride I feel for the new generations.
You know all that kind of stuff.
do u guys collect stuff (irl)? tell me what u collect

Here’s how I see it Tex, when a Finn goes into a sauna they’re usually going from a cooler place into Texas summer and when they splash the rocks they’re getting that full Houston experience. Unlike the Houstonians, they know they can just step out at any time.
I’d bet that Houstonians who have the option do the same thing. If they have access to a walk-in freezer.
Having options and control make a huge difference on how you feel about unpleasant experiences and going outside your comfort zone. That’s a big difference between novelty and torture.
Look, I try my best to respect all cultures and cultural practices, and usually it’s really not that hard…
But I swear to fuck, the Finns are insane. Why would you INVENT A ROOM with the singular designated function of MAKING YOU SWEAT?! Maybe it’s just the Texan in me but that counts as a torture chamber by every definition I can imagine.

Sharps in the air are maybe not a great idea even if they are pretty. Chances are real good your ceiling is made out of gypsum.
And for folks who have never gathered before they stepped to the gloryhole it’s iron oxide that makes the glass green.
We really did something when we invented prism deck lights...

"Oh hi don't notice me, just your friendly neighborhood FUNCTIONAL SEMIPRECIOUS GEMSTONE"
Tumblr media
This is a seriously underexploited aesthetic. Like yes crystals are all the rage and we've seen salt rock lamps, and there's a French designer doing some cool stuff with lighting forced through prisms of imperfect stone
Tumblr media
but I feel like there is SO MUCH MORE OUT THERE to do!
I like all the crystal suncatchers out there, except that the crystals are SO SHINY that every so often a concentrated beam of light meanders directly into your retina. They need to learn to chill out a bit.
