Resources for children In Education towards Music
Having the ability for children to play music and express how they feel throughout the situations there going through is meaningful. Relating this to the article “Music is everything”: Using collaborative group songwriting as an arts-based method with children experiencing homelessness and family violence" by Rebecca Fairchild, children express music as a form of escape. Children around the ages of 8-16 express there thoughts and feelings through the beats of sound. When i was 13 i remember my parents had a divorce and I decided to write away the pain I felt. I cried through the words I wrote, and I sung the songs I made with passion. Music is very important as Fairchild mentions because it helps children feel relieved from there obstacles and challenges they are facing in homelessness.

Raising the Roof’s Child Family Homelessness Initiative
As by the title you can see that this is a organization in school where children receive help. Children who are homeless face trauma, not enough love, support and etc in there lives. This is a program where they want to have awareness to others and teach people to understand homeless families. As well as putting an end to homelessness. In my opinion it is important that families in classrooms and out of classrooms are aware that people, that are homeless can be apart of students classes. It is important to treat individuals as one and to be equal. Relating this to the article " A Plan,Not a Dream Elaborates On How To End Homelessness As Team. These 4 goals such as Plan for outcomes, close the front door, open the back door, and build infrastructure helps the awareness and engagement with helping homelessness people. Plan for outcomes is very important in order to get any job done you need to come up with an solution that can resolve homelessness in Canada. Secondly, Closing the front door is helping on reducing the cost of living and helping homeless people engage in jobs and opportunities. This is very important because if homeless people have jobs they are providing for them selfs. Along with that, Open the back door which is about having stable housing, instead of kicking people out after 1 month the plan is to have them stay for longer. The hassle of moving is hard for homelessness people because half of there belongs is gone or stolen while moving it from one location to another. At last Build the Infrastructure helps support housing that is affordable for people. In Canada a lot of the housing is expensive and that is the major reason why people are homeless. Allowing prices to decrease will help the homeless people in their lives. Overall making these resources acknowledged to others is very important to start with a plan to end homelessness in Canada once and for all.

Health Concerns For Families
Children that are homeless are exposed to high level stress and in there life. According to this article "Adversity and Children Experiencing Family Homelessness: Implications For Health" children are exposed to the Emergency departments of scene. Emergency departments are for treating individuals with illness to help be cured. Children at a young age develop the understanding of drugs, and sees people outside/ around them not being normal. Same goes for teens they are experiencing the environment around them while being homeless. 37% of children experienced the use of ER in the past year. 23% experienced being hospitalized once in there life. According to the article “ The Tragedy Dying of Dying Homelessness” if families and individual health is not treated people tend to die. There are many homelessness people suffering from many disease such as cancer, liver, overdose of drugs, mental illness and much more. People who are homeless are not looked upon as people who need the emergency and also some hospitals don’t assist homeless clients. Homeless people with struggling with pain and suffering in the cold as long as experiencing the lack of health care provided. Overall having a good healthy mind and body is very important to me and as well as everyone. Can you imagine your self breaking your arm or feeling stomach pain?. That feeling for you and I, is something important for us to heal fast.Lucky for you us we are provided with health care system. But imagine the people living outside and suffering from major chronic illness with no support. Health with in all families no matter if your homeless or not should be taken very serious as the article mentions many deaths occur from non treated healthcare.

Interview with a Immigrant Homeless Family
I was at downtown when I decided to go talk to a immigrant family from Palestine. The mother had 2 boys one was 9 and the other was 7. I asked her "Sister what happened, and how did you get here in your life?". She responded " I left Palestine for my family to not the face war.She continued saying, " I wanted a better life for my children and I knew Canada was the place to be". I responded , "What happened to your Husband". She said his parents were sick and he had to take care of them."
Moral of the story is this lady left her country to have better opportunities in Canada without knowing how expensive it would be. When she was back home, she was living in house and sending her children to school. She was scared to die and make her kids suffer incase her house got bombed so she came to Canada. The mother mentions that she was homeless for 3 years, and how she regrets coming to Canada. She mentions that it is very hard for her to learn, and adapt to the country. She doesn't have any support system either. I decided to give her some money and show her the mosques in and shelters around the area of downtown.
The reason why i interviewed her is to hear her story out. It is very important for me to support Homeless people and help them in any way possible.

Mental Health In Families
Mental health is a major reason why individuals and families leads to homelessness. Homelessness starts off within the obstacle of the individual life. To begin with individuals that suffer from Mental illness and addiction are supported by the Home/Chez soi. They studied the Housing First Model for treatment services and housing. The founder of HF is Sam Tsemberis in New York City. Housing First Model allows individuals with Mental illness and drug addiction to have a permanent home and the reduction of living cost. Allows individuals to have a chance to live a life in a house and gives homeless people an opportunity to improve there lives. HF allows people to start fresh with there lives in a permeant house and make best out of it. Also Emergency departments help people with drug and Mental illness by having a support system provided. Relating this to the article “We are Neighbours” it mentions a lot about what the government should do for housing. But what i’ve noticed is that the government is lacking towards housing. This article mentions a lot about what the city rules to follow but realistically not much is being done for people who don’t suffer from mental illness. I feel like both groups should be treated with the same Housing. As both parties suffer from being homeless and over a certain period of time Mental illness would lead to affect there mind.

Domestic Violence is major reason to the breakage in a family household. Majority of the time its the men beating up the child or wife. This leads to the mother taking away her child and they end up being homeless. Mostly mothers are not the bread winners in the family and that’s why they are put in a situation where they have no choice but to be homeless. In this article i was reading "I Built My House of Hope: Abused Women and Pathways Into Homelessness" by Leslie Tutty, interviewed 62 women in Canada about there abuse story. One of the women mentions that she has been raped constantly until she had enough and she left the house with her baby. Women who face violence from there partners would rather be living outside then suffering inside of their home. Most of the women go into shelter. Living in shelter is risky its self because your the environment not being clean and the drugs and abuse people go through. Along with that did you know that Indigenous women suffer violence three times more amongst the women In Canada. Reason behind this is that indigenous women suffer domestic violence from a young age and up. Children and women are being sexually assaulted and being forced to be in human trafficking. Indigenous mothers suffer from dealing with the abuse to allow the children to be provided with a home to survive. Children face the abuse of residential schools which mentally and physically affects them. Overall Domestic violence is affects many individual life being and which affects the family as a whole.

Video
youtube
This video is about a mother and her children in Vancouver facing the challenges of being homeless. She started off being homeless when she divorced her husband. The mother has no job but she still managers to keep her children in a warm area to sleep at everyday and night. Although her family is homeless she provides her children with education and she strives to be successful. This woman is a hardworking lady who is not giving up and not letting negative energy get in the way of her. This video is very important because this mother didn’t let her divorce reflect on her children but instead she became more striving. She is surviving because her kids keep her going and she is being strong. I wonder how you guys feel about this video because when I watching this video i felt so sad. I see homeless families everyday and the saddest part is watching children in the cold asking for money. Overall this video is very influential because the mother believe in her self and is not giving up on her faith
