“I don’t know if that was really entirely safe for you to do honestly.” Pushing a hand through her hair, she took a few steps closer, “Although, it doesn’t seem to be completely without worth.”

“Probably not, but what’s life without taking a risk, right?”

‘’ good, with the snotty blonde here– i need someone to keep me grounded.’’ he lets out a dramatic sigh, hand going up to ruffle her hair as well. ‘’don’t touch my hero hair. it takes alot to groom it.’’

Anita scrunched her nose when he messed up her hair, but didn’t care much about it. “Your hero hair is stupid. It’s only going to get wet, why style it?”

‘’barely being not at all. but yeah, snotty ones. amazing.’’ he muttered, head resting on her shoulder. ‘’ this is why we’re friends. we both wonder why we became lifeguards, it’s amazing.’’ 

Anita laughed, bringing her hand up to ruffle his hair. “I feel for you. I’m sorry for whatever will end up happening. And at least we have each other to rant to and we can keep each other grounded.”

‘’ OH NO, both are better– i like grabbing your ass more. but then again.. yeah.’’ he muttered, but he grabbed her first hand then the other and brought her in close to him– forehead resting against hers. ‘’ i told you. ninja like reflexes. ‘’ 

Anita groaned when Zander grabbed both of her hands and pulled her closer. “You suck,” she muttered, dropping their arms down to their sides. “You’re close to getting us fired. I’m on my shift and we’re out in the open. It’s the first day and look at you.” She teased.

“Well it looks disgusting - I’ll stick to making the staff bacon and real eggs don’t you worry.” Arlo laughed gently. “Posh people food sucks.”

“It’s like eating a baby Nemo before he was born. Why would you want to even think that tastes good?” She made a face. “Just don’t get me gain too much weight. I can’t cave people if I get fat.”

“Okay but what the hell is caviar even? Because it’s on this menu which means I have to cook it and I haven’t got a damn clue - I’m so much more a burgers and BBQ kind of chef.” Arlo laughed as he sat down with a beer. 

“I don’t think you’re supposed to cook caviar. It’s fish eggs. I think people just put it on crackers and eat it that way?”

‘’ well, i can always stare at your ass. i mean, lets be real… your ass is the only thing i stare at.’’ at his confession, his hand goes over his mouth and he lets out a groan. ‘’ oh– really ?? i would so do that. go on then, slap me.’’

“I feel like my chest is better than my ass, but alright.” She said with a shrug. Tilting her head, she moved closer, bringing her hand up to almost slapping his face, but brought her other hand up to slap the back of his head.

‘’snotty blonde who cost me my first job is here, so i’m pretty pissed off ‘bout that. barely surviving other than that, y’know..’’

“Gotta love the snotty ones, huh? Sounds like this will be an amazing year for you.” She chuckled. “Just barely, huh?”

‘’ me, grab your chest ?? i am offended that you’d think i would do that.’’ there’s a face that he makes, and he can’t help the laugh that escapes his lips. ‘’ – you know, i have ninja like reflexes. i can just block your slap.’’

Anita raised an eyebrow as he made his face. “My ass is off limits as well. Everything except for my hand is off limits. But -- that doesn’t mean you get to shove it down your pants.” She pointed at him. “You wouldn’t do that.”

“I’m still alive, so there’s that. How about you?”

‘’ god i hate when you’re right. no, i don’t want  to risk it.. but i just really want to hang out with you.’’

“Really? I love it when I’m right.” She teased with a smirk. “We can hang out. There’s no problem with that, but if you try to grab my chest, I’m slapping you.”

‘’ we both know part of me wants to learn that, the other part just wants you all to himself sooo… it’s technically not forbidden if we don’t.. get.. caught, i guess ?? ‘’ 

“No. I know that you don’t want to learn it. And if we get caught? We will both get kicked out. Do you really want to risk that?”

“You don’t have to call me sir.” Rocco laughed as he looked back at her. “That’s almost as bad as when my mother decides she is going to call me Richard.” The male shuddered with a friendly smile. 

Anita brought her shoulders up into a shrug as she looked at the male. “I feel like it would be rude if I didn’t call the members ‘sir’, ‘ma’am’ or ‘madam’. So. I guess you’re going to be stuck with sir. Unless you prefer one of the others.”

‘’ this lady pretended to drown the other day and as i pulled her out, she literally grabbed me and kissed me. if you wanted my attention, i wouldn’t have minded a simple approach like ‘hey what’s up’ but instead no…  sometimes i wonder why i became a lifeguard.’’

“I ask myself why I became a lifeguard every day.”

‘’well when the shift ends, why don’t we just hang out and you teach me how to sing it ?? ‘’

“Don’t pull that with me. We both know that you don’t want to learn that. You have something else going on in that mind of yours. Which you know -- is forbidden.”

“Well my parents paid too and you don’t see me acting like that.” Rocco shrugged as he lent against the wall before he offered the girl his hand. “The name is Rocco Collins, pleasure to meet you.”

“The season is still young, sir.” She pointed out, looking at his hand once he extended it to her. Taking it, knowing it would be rude if she declined, she shook his head. “Anita. It’s a pleasure meeting you as well, sir.”
