Attend a sporting event!
So my friends bought me ticket to the springbok game in Bloemfontein! I don't have any interest in rugby but decided to go! I have enjoyed it a lot but I can't share any information about the game as I was only socializing with friends most of the time 😂👏🏻

Make a mistake.
I made a lot of mistakes this year. But telling my roommate that I don't like him and that I want to move out was maybe the worst one! Fighting the rest of the term was horrible!! I did not enjoy it one bit! Everything was just a mess. Things got real awkward and needles to say. We are not friends anymore! I lost a lot of friends in the process as well!! It was real bad! Hopefully next year is better when I live with my sister!

Do a dare.
I was dared at a festival to strech a condom over my head! 😂 drunk anitia decided well it can't be that bad!! But I was quickly proven wrong when it popped half way over my head!
This should teach you that drunk ideas are never a good idea!!!!

Do something on a rooftop!
My friend turned 19 years old. Happy happy birthday celebrations 🎉 I was so excited! 😳 I love birthdays! The party was held on top of a rooftop and it was so much fun! Looking over the whole Pretoria, city lights everywhere! Loved it!

Spending a night without electricity!
Well I will tell you this! It's not as easy as it seems! I was not looking forward to this! Not using my phone not having lights or be able to cook terrified me!!! But it was so much fun just relaxing hanving out with friends and playing games! I enjoyed it so much that I do it quite often!! I wish we were still in the old days where everything was more chilled!!!!! Lights out!

Getting rejected is not so fun!! It's even worse when you have good intentions! So there's this guy that I really really liked. But of course it was just a friendship at first!!! When things got a bit more intense an my feelings got more, he rejected me and said that I was not part of his "5 year plan" 😂🙈 it was quite funny but so harsh at the same time! I didn't know how to react. Should I laugh or cried! So I decided it's always better to laugh than cry! So I made it a joke and now everyone is laughing at the "5 year plan"

I already told you about Ulinka, Jacobus and Pieter! So again we went away for a weekend with them but this time to Jacobus's Farm! Okay so first of all I am a city girl, I do not know anything about the farm. I didn't know how to dress. I did not know what to take with. NOTHING!!! 2 Days before the trip, they informed me that the house we are staying in does not have any form of electricity 🤦🏻♀️ this made me really nervous because I'm not used to a life without electricity!! I can't live without my phone, hairdryer and kettle! 😂🙈 but I was up for a challenge! Something different for once! I made the decision to leave my phone at home because it would've been so much effert to charge it in the car and I thought that maybe I needed a tech free weekend! Best decision of my life!!! I had such a nice time!! Being with the people I love, not having a phone to worry about a phone or other stupid things that keeps us so busy that is so unnecessary, really made me realize that I do not want to live such a hectic life and focusing on the wrong things! We shouldn't live such a rushed life! I want to be peaceful! We also went hunting 🙈🙈🙈 that was not so fun! Ulinka and I cried most of the time! 😂😰 Blood everywhere!!!!!!!! So gross! I will never get the picture of Jacobus shooting the buck next to me, out of my head! But needless to say! I will NEVER be a vegetarian or vegan! Meat is my life 😂👏🏻 To conclude! I did not think I'm going to like the farm but it turned out be one of the best weekends of my life! I can't wait to go back!!!!!!!🍾

Visit a small town A few weeks ago, I visit some friends in Bloemfontein. We went out to party with the mind set of expecting the unexpected. Ulinka and I did not expect to meet new people because we always party with the same crowd in Bloem. To our surprise, we met the nicest guys!!!! Pieter and Jacobus. We all stayed in touch and 3 weeks later we decided to all visit Jacobus in Boshof, a small town near Bloem. Still expecting the unexpected! I was really amazed about how things are in Boshof. They do not use computers at any shop (there's not a lot, maybe 4 or 5 😶😂) they still write their receipts by hand! The hotel does not have any menus because they have limited stock! The children are still able to walk in the streets or ride their bicycles. They are not rushed at ALL! It feels like no one have a sense of time 🙈 But this town has so many beauty to it! The Town isn't pretty but how the people live is amazing 😱😳 I am truly amazing! It has this inner peace that I cannot explain! Just amazing 😳👏🏻 I loved the experience and learned so much!! The city is great but I think living in a small town like Boshof will bring people true happiness!!! LOVED IT!!! 👏🏻

Try spending no money for 3 days.
Being a student is really tough sometimes. Not having a job and relaying on our parents's money is not that easy. Especially when you have such a busy social life! I'm broke even in the beginning of every month. I don't know what I do with my money 😂🙈 cause I cannot show ANYTHING for it! I feel like I'm robbing myself! 😦 so this holiday I decided that I'm gonna give this a try. Maybe I will be able to save some of my money 💰 and the end of the holiday I will be able to spend some money to visit my friends in Bloem! Not spending money when you're visiting your parents aren't that hard. Because most of my money goes to my "Food Fund". But now I don't have to buy any because the is already stocked with all my favorite foods! This task was not so bad. Quite easy actually! But going to Bloem was not the best decision! I'm really broke now! This might be a really good thing though! Let's wait and see what happens 😉😌👏🏻

Listen too an album you wouldn't normally do.
Let's start from the very beginning. It's a very good place to start. 😏 😄 So, Because I'm a big girl now, I had to get a new banking card before my old one expired! Not thinking about all the information I had to change on all my accounts (this including my iMusic) I was stund to get the message that my payment for the month have not been successful and my iMusic has thus been canceled. I was devastated, music in this point of my life was the only thing that kind off kept me sane! And as the world would want it, I was broke. 🙄 Not even R60 in my new bank account to pay my monthly iMusic bill! This incident led me to stealing a few CDs from my sister's car! 🤦🏻♀️ BUT my sister and I is nothing alike. We don't have the same taste in anything! I only realized this when I played one of the CDs in my car. AFRIKAANS!!!!! I was disgusted with myself! Why, oh why didn't I bother to look if it was an Afrikaans or English CD🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I hated Afrikaans music! Forced to listen an Afrikaans CD in my car, made me miss my home, the Freestate, Bethlehem! I ended up listening to the album more than 5 time! In the beginning it was because I had to! But now I can't stop listening to it! I know each and every lyric and I shout (not sing) along with the artists. I realized that giving something a chance keeps life interesting. Who would've thought that I would prefer to listen to Afrikaans music. It's not so embarrassing to accept your cultural background and just be who you truly are, as I thought it would be!

Eat something culturally new. While walking through Melville, a bohemian suburb of Johannesburg, me and my sister came across these lovely things. 🔝 The croissant-doughnut hybrid 😱😍 Dominique Ansel, a French pastry chef has created the most wonderful thing that I have tasted in a very long while!!! Each batch of Cronuts takes approximately three days to prepare. (Patience is key 😏) Day one consists of mixing the dough, then letting it ferment and rest overnight. Day two, butter is incorporated, and hundreds of sheets of dough are layered together before the dough rests again. On day three, the dough is cut, formed into the Cronut shape, and left to ferment again. Once each has tripled in size, Cronut by Cronut is fried in grapeseed oil, filled with cream, rolled in sugar, and finished with a glaze. Every bite taste like a mild form of heaven 😍 This was such a nice experience and I recommend to everyone!!

Plant something and maintain it. I thought that I'm going to be really cute and plant myself a mini herb garden because I LOVE cooking and fresh herbs are so much better. Well needless to say it turned out to be "Anitia se dooietuin" and not "Anitia se kruietuin"...🙄 As you can see, I'm not the best at keeping things alive. 😂🙊 I was so excited about growing my own herbs that I accidentally drowned some of them by giving them too much water.. 🙃 Ooops! 😂 My mom gave me some advice on taking care of plants, so I started giving them less water and moving them into direct sunlight. And it actually worked! They were looking so good during the first 3 weeks! But thanks to the winter, who did not have any sympathy with me or my herbs, left me with herbs that were killed by frost.😔 This was a really sad day for me! Well my second attempt will not happen during autumn again, I can assure you that! 😂🙊

Taking a walk in the city CBD. For the first time in my life I wouldn't have been able to see my mom on mother's day.💔This made me really emotional not only because I can not be with the family but because my mom is the best person in this whole wide world and she deserves to be spoiled by her daughters! I couldn't go to my hometown, Bethlehem, because of obligations @openwindowinstitute. But luckily everything worked out as it was supposed to and they came to visit me! 😂🙊 We decided to change things up a bit and explore new areas in the city!! We came across a place called Arts on Main located in an urban neighborhood in Johannesburg, the Maboneng Precinct. Eateries, art studios and galleries, well isn't this just the life??? Like seriously!!! I just want to pack my bags and live in the middle of this all! It is so pretty, inspiring and literally all I want and need in life! I had such a lekker time with the fam! And I can promise you that this was not the last time that I'm going to walk the streets of this urban neighborhood!!!

This was quite the challenge. 🤣 Just kidding. I'm not really a big drinker, so this was super easy for me. Yes it was tempting to buy alcoholic beverages sometimes, but with the support of my friends, I went for 3 days without any alcohol. No.. 😂🙊😳 that is not beer in those green and yellow cups, it is pure Coca Cola! This was such a nice weekend with old friends and good music! I miss it already!! Even though we almost froze to death! I had so much fun!

This was a funwun (🤣punny) They actually called this fun run, located in the heart of Clarens, “the dinosaur funwun”. My mom decided that enough was enough. She is tired of seeing my siblings and I being lazy and messing in her clean house! And there it was… the ad in the newspaper to change things up in the house and make things a little bit more exciting this holiday! A 5km fun run to fund the research of dinosaurs! This might sound very exciting.. but for someone that hasn’t ran in 2 years, it sounds quite like a challenge! My mom motivated my sister, my dad and I to jog every morning, starting a week before, to be prepared for this special family event! “Go big or go home”, my mom got us all matching T-shirts and headbands (that she made herself) for some team spirit and to create some unity! This morning run, with the family, was a beautiful experience. Seeing the sunrise while jogging through the Maluti Mountains was unforgettable and I would love to do this again soon.

Hosting a dinner party with unrelated people. Pizza, wine and new friends. Since we are all new and don't really know anyone, I decided to invite a few people over to get to know everyone a little bit better. And it was actually a lot of fun! Not what I expected it to be at all! I learned a lot, not all about the people, but about how fast dishes can accumulate and a few new cleaning techniques
