Anne Shirley Episode 11

PLEASE the way his smile grew so big the second Anne actually started talking to him. Gilbert's been dying to just be able to be friends with her for literal years, and it's adorable at seeing his reaction.

Keep in mind, he did all this while never expecting Anne to appreciate what he's done. He did it because he's heard what happened and wanted to help. He crossed the bridge without talking to her b/c she rejected his ask for friendship and still did it anyway. I love this boy so much.

Too Perfect Saint Episode 10

This is an anime that only got better and better as the series continued. You think this is going to be a cozy fantasy with a romance at the center, but that's only half of the story and not even close to the main theme. Mia has an entire plot of her own that's about politics and revenge, and at the end of the day, the real love this series is talking about is the love shared between sisters.

Anne Shirley Episode 9

Just in time for Father's Day. I know it's weird to reference Frieren right now, but Heiter said in an episode how no one ever becomes adults and we're all just children who end up having more experience, and every day as I get older, I experience that literal sentiment for real. There's never a point and time that everything makes sense and you have the answer for everything. You're just bumbling through life with maybe some more tools on your belt to come to a good decision, and with that conclusion, Heiter also points out that b/c we are always just children we must still find people to praise us.

Anne's getting older now. And in that time period, she's well on her way to being considered an adult (even though she's a child still in modern ages) but Matthew's already there to tell her how proud of her he is. And like as a grown woman - nothing still hits me more and means more to me than my parents saying they're proud of me. That's just a sentiment I feel we must also remember to express constantly to our youngers.

Your Forma Episode 9

Haven't posted about Your Forma in a minute, but this is hands down the best episode of the series. Not just the direction but we direly needed to understand and learn more about the protagonists, and this puts so much context into Harold's character. He's in the police force because he was essentially saved from trafficking and the guy who took him under his wing became a parent/older brother to him. I had a feeling that he had already died but seeing how he was tortured and murdered in FRONT of Harold is just heartbreaking.

Not to mention, so many of Harold's mannerisms is directly related to Sozon's own skill to read and profile people. It actually kills me that Harold's flirting skills was probably him learning by watching Sozon and Darya flirt in front of him.

Kowloon Generic Romance Episode 8

Guys, I am SO conflicted. On one hand, I think these two have great chemistry, and I think a relationship is doable in the sense of how their personalities are and the level of just overall comfort it is be around each other. On the other hand, THIS IS SO UNHEALTHY!!! Kudo's still married to the past - his decision to be with her is still from a promise made to a woman who's deceased, and I feel like Kujira will never be her own person by being around Kudo and is always tied to the original identity. Not to mention, how will she exist in the future??? I just can't see this ending well...

Yes - that's Umemiya and Tsubakino debuting on the chart in THIRD place. What an incredible debut. Our lesbian couple, Oto and Lily, are right behind them!

Kowloon Generic Romance Episode 7

I LOVE these two omg!!! And it's really amazing that the story is giving equal importance and time to this couple like they are to the (very complicated) main couple in this series. From this episode, Miyuki's been crashing out since breaking up with Gwen AKA he clearly feels horrible about it and is still very much in love with that man. It really shows how much Gwen means to him in that Gwen sees him for everything he is and is accepting of him no matter what. I REALLY hope they get a happy ending only because I feel like a happy ending between Kujirai and Kudo is going to be difficult as it is.

Anne Shirley Episode 7

Aaaahh it's the boat rescue scene! I actually LOVE how the anime animated this. How awkward and shaky everything was, and how unsure they both are since it's actually kind of a delicate rescue. Yet, it also genuinely looks romantic from outsider's POV because of how careful they are and the way they held onto each other in that moment.

It's sad that Gilbert accidentally said something so triggering (and not to his knowledge obviously b/c he would've never said it if he knew), but I remember at this point how desperate I was for Anne to forgive him since he's sincerely apologized so many times. Patience, girl, patience. You've been through this before, you can wait again...

Kowloon Generic Romance Episode 6

Can't believe I've gotten super invested in these two when they didn't show up until at least three episodes in. Genuinely love that this scifi romance mystery has a prominent gay couple with two characters who are incredibly important to the story. They "breakup" this week because Miyuki's father threatened Gwen but I must hope they are endgame at the end of the story.

Genuinely approve of the fact that this anime uses every cliche trope in straight romances and still makes sure to give it to these girls. Really solidifies their relationship to me personally speaking. Like Oto's ex is basically back to steal her away from Lilisa.
