Tourists in UAE to get VAT refunds soon
Khalid Al Bustani, a senior official of Federal Tax Authority, said that the tax refunds for tourists will be finalised soon.
They announced a tender for the selection of a tourist refund operator, and they are in the final stages now. Federal Tax Authority is waiting for the final approvals in order to finalise the contract with the operator.
Tourism plays a critical role in contributing to the country’s economy, hence its importance of having a tourism refund system in UAE.
However, they also added that only those who travel to the UAE from outside Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are eligible for refund system.
He also added that the Cabinet will also publish the list of items that are not eligible for refunds.

Procedure involved in Dental Extraction
