The Importance of Being Russian
It’s hard for me to accept that I was born and raised Russian. These are my reasons.
1. I’m neither extremely talented nor lucky. It means I’m just another mediocrity those life doesn’t matter in Russia. You’are either Tolstoy or a peace of shit.
2. I’m a screenwriter, not a writer. Nobody’s interested in plot of Russian movies since Andrey Tarkovsky. Action? No, let people talk. Not my type of storytelling.
3. I have technical background. And humanitarians in Russia believe in cult fiction by Daniil Andreev called “World Rose” (Roza Mira) which he wrote doing his time in Vladimir region prison during Stalin era. Basically, it’s a “prophecy” about technical people being anti-humans led by anti-Christ. BTW, that’s why engineers are not welcomed in Government. IMHO.
4. I work as SEO (Search Engine Optimezer). In Russia you can only be CEO for other people to respect your opinion.
5. I’m a woman. Considering longevity of life (some consider it the most important number to showcase the quality of life) Russian women live in Sweden while Russian men live in Pakistan. So, maybe being Russian man is even worse than being Russian woman. But it’s Russian women that spoil Russian men every day. How do they spoil? Women here lack self-confidence. Maybe that’s why Russian men lack responsibility, for themselves and for their families.

I don’t like the idea of this video’s cutting. The script lacks wow effect of many classic Radiohead works, IMHO. Over-intellectual for my taste.
