I thought about you today.

I think about you every day, but today I thought about you while singing a song I wrote long before I met you. Still, even that song is now about you.

“Have I ever told you” - no. I haven’t confessed to you yet.

Singing these lyrics I wrote a long time ago, thinking I knew what I meant with them, thinking I knew what I wanted to say, I realised now how much you’ve changed me. How you’ve made me see things differently. How you’ve changed the trajectory of my life, of every single day I live. How you’ve become a fixed point in my life.

The one thing I never want to forget.

I wish I had it in me to confess everything. How good you smell, how glowing you look, how you soothe my soul.

How I want to wake up next to you every morning. How I want to fall asleep feeling you right there.

How I want to hear you whisper how much you want me. How much I want to tell you that myself.

In a way, I confess to you every time I sing. But I know you don’t know it. I know you don’t understand. I know in reality, I haven’t confessed to you yet. And I’m not sure I ever will.

So, just like in my song I never wrote about you, but it became about you anyway, I’m wandering around the city alone. Wandering through my life, alone and waiting.

I think I’m ready to give you everything. But I haven’t confessed to you yet.
