The point of view and composition in Penguins is amazing. This painting contains such mystery and anticipation. I was struck by the obscured identity in all of the figures. This made me think of expectations, reality and disappointments that can happen on an outing with kids. The use of local color and size creates a nostalgic sentimental feeling. For example, in Death Vs.Vampire Huntress the figure's face is obscured. This to me is a nod to reality and it gives the work complexity. Your paintings are very beautiful- showing the world from a child's perspective. I want to know more about what is happening in the scenes - in a world around children. -Sustainable Arts Foundation
