I hope you share my dislike (a polite word for it) for Anne3... I was wondering... have you ever come across anyone with photoshop talents that has taken the images from the "film" and turned them into House of Dreams or Ingleside photos. I'm aching for images of this beloved couple with their children as I read Ingleside for the umpteenth time. If you can help me, I will be "indebted to you for life!!" :) Thanks!
I regret to say that I have never seen anything like that. That would be amazing and maybe this post will spark someone with photoshop skills to give it a go :)

YOUR BLOG IS SO AWESOME!!!!! I've recently been rewatching the series and I'm about to start on the books soon, but I thought I'd never find a blog dedicated to my favourite couple. I've liked Anne of Green Gables ever since my dad showed me the movie as a kid, and I'm still in love with the story at 16, people find it a weird obsession though- I'm just SO SO happy I found someone else who likes Anne of Green Gables, I can't put it into words!!!!! You are just awesome! Thank you for existing! Vx
HAHAHA you're welcome!! You are awesome too!! People find it a weird obsession at 23 too let me tell you. And if you've never read the books get ready to be elevated to a whole new level of obsession. It's insane.

I’m traumatized by older men winking at me at a young age, but Gil makes it a little better.

Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music.
Perhaps… perhaps…love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath.

Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery is among my all-time favorite love stories.
It’s PG (I’d actually go as far as rating it as G) by all means of today’s standards, and yet it feels more genuine and real. It never fails to give me the warm fuzzies after each read. Sigh, Gilbert, if only you were real!

The night winds were beginning their wild dances beyond the bar and the fishing hamlet across the harbor was gemmed with lights as Anne and Gilbert drove up the poplar lane. The door of the little house opened, and a warm glow of firelight flickered out into the dusk. Gilbert lifted Anne from the buggy and led her into the garden, through the little gate between the ruddy-tipped firs, up the trim, red path to the sandstone step.
"Welcome home,” he whispered, and hand in hand they stepped over the threshold of their house of dreams.
