If I ever become a recluse, I would definitely want to inhabit a dwelling with this same vibe

Initial storyboard which I based my animation off. As you can see there are some elements within it that I used in my final animation and some that I didn't. For example I dropped the 'falling stars' segment because I felt that it was not cohesive enough with the rest of my animation. I also made some of my segments more complex because I felt that they were too simplistic.

My final animation.
I uploaded this a week ago but I made a mistake when referencing the poem. When reading the brief, it was not made clear that the poem reference had to be the entire poem. As such when I initially uploaded my final animation I had only put in the poet’s name and the name of the poem, I did not include the poem itself. It wasn’t until I received an email the lecturer had circulated round mentioning the length the reference had to be in relation to the number of stanzas that I realised my mistake.
Unfortunately I can only upload the corrected version to my blog and not the school R:/Drive because I am no longer in Wellington so I do not have access to the R:/Drive any longer.

My final animation. For the title and reference sections I used the same charcoal grey for the background as I had for my SVGs. This was so the white text would be slightly easier to read and also to link the title and animation through colour choice.

The shorter version of the previous clip. This is the version I plan on using in my final animation.

A clip of the aforementioned scene. I found that this version of the scene runs for too long so I plan on making it shorter.

Another of my scenes. I wanted to develop the previous sketch further to add more interest and this is what I ended up with. Initially the colours used were black and white but I found that having two such strong colours  next to each other was quite stark so I changed the colour of the black to more of a charcoal shade.

Another version of the rotating SVG. This version was spinning incredibly fast and the SVGs were vibrating slightly whilst they spun.

Screenshots and code for one of my scenes. The sketch reacts to the mouse which allows me to directly control the movements of the forms.

I changed the motion of the dots moving downwards so that they were more random and natural. I also changed the colour of both the background and the dots to form the stars. I did this to match the aesthetic I had created for my other scenes.
