Exposition Ajournée

Le reconfinement a frappé et par arrêté préfectoral l'exposition qui devait se tenir du 10 novembre au 19 décembre 2020 au Centre d'Art Contemporain du Carmel à Tarbes est reportée en 2021.

Bien sûr vous serez prévenus dès que les nouvelles dates seront fixées, il y aura donc quelques nouvelles toiles en plus…

Le Carmel, Tarbes

A l'initiative de la Mairie de Tarbes, la chapelle de l'ancien Carmel est devenue aujourd'hui, un lieu d'expositions incontournable de Tarbes.Ainsi, depuis quelques années, les oeuvres de grands peintres ont été exposées tels Joan MIRO, Pierre SOULAGES, Francis BACON, Georges BRAQUE, Alberto GIACOMETTI mais aussi de grands photographes comme Sarah MOON ou Marc RIBOUD ainsi que des artistes contemporains régionaux de qualité.

Abbaye d’Art de Trizay

A summer show in the beautifull Trizay roman Abbey

The Trizay abbey, with its great structures and its resplendent façade, is located in the Charentes Maritimes between the towns of Saintes and La Rochelle. I exhibit there during the 3 months of the summer 2020 together with friend and painter Jacques Reverdy. 8 years ago I had already exhibited there.

The abbey is signposted throughout the region and clearly announces its conversion into an Art Contemporary Center.

Its imposing Roman construction, of which the church has kept only its ventilated apses, is both imposing and welcoming, with its multiple semicircular openings since it was founded in tthe 11th century.

The first room, that of the old refectory, with its wide and high vaults.

My large canvases easily find their place on these long walls as well as the large inks on rice paper that benefit from the natural light.

The white stone walls give even more strenght to the colors of “VANG VIENG V” and “HARMONY IN CHAOS XVII”

The harmony of the pilars of this door opening reinforces the wave-like writing of this ink.

In the chapel the diptych “TUMULTES XXX” came naturaly to be lodge.

An other frame, in the shape of a deep niche, for this ink.

The “TUMULTES” series of the paintings are on the first floor.

The walls that demarcated the monk’s dormitory have been removed to create long exhibition spaces.

4 etchings from the ”MAN AND THE SEA” poem by Baudelaire as well as 2 collages enhanced with oil pastels are presented in the space that was once the prior’s cell.

In a showcase, a few pages from my artist’s books including “QUELLE NUIT, CETTE NUIT” created with poems by François Cheng of the Academie Française.

EXPOSITION AU CENTRE D’ART CONTEMPORAIN DE L’ABBAYE DE TRIZAY 9 juillet - 13 septembre 2020. Une première exposition y avait déjà eu lieu en 2012.

L’abbaye de Trizay, avec la beauté de ses structures et sa resplendissante façade, se situe en Charentes Maritimes entre les villes de Saintes et La Rochelle.

Elle a été restaurée et aménagée ces dernières années en Centre d’Art Contemporain. 

Son imposante construction romane dont l’église n’a gardé que ses absides éventrées, est à la fois imposante et accueillante, avec ses multiples ouvertures en plein cintre puisque fondée au Xième siècle.

La première salle, celle de l’ancien réfectoire, a de larges et  très hautes voûtes sous lesquelles mes grandes toiles trouvent aisément leur place ainsi que des grandes encres sur papier de riz qui bénéficient de l’éclairage naturel.

Sur la cinquième photo, les murs de pierres blanches font particulièrement bien éclater les couleurs de « VANG VIENG V » 2m x 2,5m et de “HARMONY IN CHAOS XVIII” 1,6 x 1,3m

11- 4 gravures de la série « l’HOMME ET LA MER » de Baudelaire ainsi que 2 collages rehaussés de pastels gras sont présentés dans l’espace qui fut autrefois la cellule du prieur.

Enfin, dans une vitrine, quelques pages de mes livres d’artiste dont « QUELLE NUIT, CETTE NUIT » créé avec des poèmes de François Cheng, de l’Académie Française.

LES AUTOMNALES, Meyssac

My participation in a beautiful event from 11 to 13 October 2019

The theme of the exhibition was "Water Games, Voices of the Earth".

Invited to the first edition of this event, I exhibited about twenty works: paintings, engravings and artist's books.

Jacques Reverdy, a great friend and abstract painter with whom I have already shared exhibitions in recent years, also presented about twenty paintings and inks.

Each of the two artists had proposed, for the day after the vernissage, to give a lecture. Jacques Reverdy had chosen to speak "From the mid-nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century, from figuration to abstraction".

And I myself had chosen the theme: "In the face of traditional Taoist Chinese art, my experiences of painter in China”.

The program of these three days included at the end of the second day a show: "Denis Wetterwald and his orchestra", written, conceived and interpreted by Denis Wetterwald. Comedian of great talent, crowned at the Cannes Festival of Actor Performance, he has remarkably improvised to "introduce" in his text the works that surrounded the audience, thus opening an additional humorous dimension to the exhibition.

On the last day, an afternoon of readings on the theme "Poetry and Painting" was led by Anne-Marie Prévost with the participation of regional writers and poets who read excerpts from texts such as that of the book "Pierre," de Christian Bobin about Pierre Soulages, a letter from Nicolas de Staël or the poem "Je ne pars pas" written and read by Denis Wetterwal.

A very enthusiastic public led the Corrèze authorities and the organizers of "Meyssac, Culture and Leisure" to make the “Meyssac Autumnals” an annual event. I am very happy to have participated in this success.

Ma participation à un bel événement : Les AUTOMNALES DE MEYSSAC du 11 au 13 octobre 2019

Le thème de l’exposition était : « Jeux d’eau, Voix de la Terre ».

Invitée à la première édition de cet évènement, j’ai exposé une vingtaine d’œuvres : peintures, gravures et livres d’artiste.

Jacques Reverdy, grand ami et peintre abstrait avec qui j’ai déjà partagé des expositions durant ces dernières années, présentait également une vingtaine de peintures et des encres.

Chacun des deux artistes avait proposé, pour le lendemain du vernissage, de donner une conférence. Jacques Reverdy avait choisi de parler « Du milieu du XIXème siècle au début du XXème siècle, de la figuration à l’abstraction » et moi-même j’avais choisi le thème : « Face à l’art traditionnel chinois Taoiste, mes expériences d’artiste peintre en Chine ».

Le programme de ces trois jours comprenait en fin de la deuxième journée un spectacle : « Denis Wetterwald et son orchestre », écrit, conçu et interprété par Denis Wetterwald.  Comédien de grand talent, couronné au festival Performance d’Acteur de Cannes, il a su remarquablement improviser pour « introduire » dans son texte les œuvres qui entouraient les spectateurs, ouvrant ainsi une dimension humoristique supplémentaire à l’exposition.

Le dernier jour, une après-midi de lectures sur le thème « Poésie et Peinture » était animée par Anne-Marie Prévost avec la participation d’écrivains et de poètes régionaux qui ont lu des extraits de textes comme celui du livre « Pierre, » de Christian Bobin à propos de Pierre Soulages, une lettre de Nicolas de Staël ou encore le poème « Je ne pars pas » écrit et lu par Denis Wetterwal.  

Un public très enthousiaste a conduit les autorités corréziennes et les organisateurs de « Meyssac, Culture et Loisirs » à rendre pérenne cette première édition des Automnales de Meyssac. Je suis très heureuse d’avoir participé à ce succès.

“OUT OF THE CLOSET”  New York

My paintings at Denise Bibro Gallery for the summer show

On the first morning of my recent stay in New York, in June 2019,  I wanted to revisit the Guggenheim Museum and a pleasant surprise awaited me because the museum, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its creation, entrusted to 6 contemporary artists the choice of works exhibited among those of his own collections of modern and contemporary works of art.

These artists, Cai-Guo-Quiang (a friend of Wang Yan Cheng), Paul Chan, Jenny Holzer, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince and Carrie Mae Weems, provide an unusual look at the nascent years of American and foreign abstraction, what a treat!

During this stay in New York, I reconnected with the Gallery Denise Bibro, a beautiful gallery located in Chelsea for more than 20 years, after being created in Soho. Denise offered me to participate in the exhibition which was to start the following week because she particularly appreciated my recent work in China, including rice paper inks.

Before returning to France, I could not be present at the inauguration, Thursday, June 20, but my friend Hisako Kobayachi, a Japanese painter living in New York, represented me and sent me this photo where she is near one of my paintings. Denise Bibro has also selected for this first exhibition an ink on rice paper and the painting.

Soho, where my first New York exhibition was held nearly 30 years ago, now has only a few art galleries because the fashion stores have invaded all the old workshops and warehouses so characteristic of Soho. But it's nice to find some landmarks of artists who have stayed intact and so friendly like the small garden of the Cloister Café, on E 9th Street, or the Broome Street Bar on West Broadway.

I like also the attached photo that reveals the magic of the reflections of some monumental New York towers on top of each other.

Two Japanese friends, Hisako and Yoshi, had prepared for me a 2-day gallery tour, carefully selecting those that were of interest to all three of us. We walked in three neighborhoods: Chelsea, Upper East Side / Madison and finally the new hip neighborhood of Lower East Side! Exciting discussions with some gallerists, and of course between us on contemporary creation. Many ideas, some new names, comparisons with China, Tokyo and Hong Kong: New York continues to offer varied and interesting artistic works.

Au premier matin de ce séjour New-Yorkais de juin 2019 j’ai souhaité revisiter le Musée Guggenheim et une bonne surprise m’y attendait car le musée, pour célébrer le 60 ème anniversaire de sa création, a confié à 6 artistes contemporains le choix des oeuvres exposées parmi celles de ses propres collections d’œuvres modernes et contemporaines. Ces artistes, Cai-Guo-Quiang (un ami de Wang Yan Cheng), Paul Chan, Jenny Holzer, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince et Carrie Mae Weems, apportent un regard inhabituel sur les années naissantes de l'abstraction américaine et étrangère, quel régal!

Au cours de ce séjour à New York j’ai repris contact avec la Galerie Denise Bibro, une belle galerie située à Chelsea depuis plus de 20 ans, après avoir été créée à Soho.  Denise me proposa de participer à l’exposition qui devait débuter la semaine suivante car elle apprécie particulièrement mon récent travail réalisé en Chine, notamment les encres sur papier de riz.

Devant retourner en France, je n’ai pas pu être présente à l’inauguration, le jeudi 20 juin, mais mon amie Hisako Kobayachi, peintre japonaise vivant à New York, m’a représenté et m’a envoyé cette  photo où elle se trouve près d’une de mes toiles.  Denise Bibro a retenu également pour cette première exposition une encre sur papier de riz et la peinture.

Cette exposition dont le titre est OUT OF THE CLOSET se tient du 20 juin au 27 juillet 2019.

Soho, où se situaient mes premières expositions New-Yorkaises il y a près de 30 ans, ne possède plus aujourd’hui que quelques galeries car les magasins de mode ont envahi tous les anciens ateliers et entrepôts si caractéristique de Soho. Mais il est agréable de retrouver quelques repères d’artistes qui sont restés intacts et si sympathiques comme le petit jardin du Cloister Café, sur la E 9th Street, ou le Broome Street Bar sur West Broadway.  J’aime aussi la photo ci-jointe qui révèle la magie des reflets de certaines tours monumentales de New York les unes sur les autres.  

Deux amis japonais, Hisako et Yoshi m’avaient préparé un parcours de 2 jours de visites de galeries, en sélectionnant avec soin celles qui devaient nous intéresser tous les trois. Nous avons ainsi déambulé dans 3 quartiers : Chelsea, Upper East Side/Madison et enfin le nouveau quartier branché de Lower East Side ! Discussions passionnantes avec certains galeristes, et bien sûr entre nous sur la création contemporaine. Beaucoup d’idées, quelques noms nouveaux, des comparaisons notamment avec la Chine, Tokyo et Hong Kong : New York continue à offrir des œuvres artistiques variées et intéressantes.

MY PAINTINGS AT THE BESHARAT MUSEUM GALLERY, Barbizon

For the classical music concert on December 8th 2018

The BESHARAT MUSEUM GALLERY, installed in Barbizon in the former Villa Les Charmettes of the 19th century, organized a very nice concert of classical music of the Russian composer and pianist Denis Grotsky.

I had the joy and the honor to find one of my paintings, “Force Bleue V”, which was exposed alongside the pianist. What a wonderful experience to live the marriage of music and painting and let yourself be led by the Sonata "Almost a fantasia" by Ludwig van Beethoven!

Denis Grotsky has also interpreted a series of "Tableaux d'en France" that he composed in 2016 and shows the diversity and high quality of his talents. I recommend everyone to remember the name of this pianist graduated from the Gnessine Academy in Moscow.

After the concert, composer and pianist Franck Ciup, friend of Massoud Besharat, joined Denis Grotsky to offer a beautiful moment of improvisation with 4 hands.

Then, a young actor who was present among the spectators presented with great talent poems, including some of Rimbaud . A wonderful dialogue was thus created between piano and poetry, which we would have liked to be able to extend far into the night.

Le BESHARAT MUSEUM GALLERY, installé à Barbizon dans l’ancienne Villa Les Charmettes du 19ème siècle, a organisé un très beau concert de musique chassique avec le compositeur et pianiste Russe Denis Grotsky, diplômé de l’Académie Gnessine à Moscou. J’ai l’honneur de retrouver l’une de mes toiles: “Force Bleue V”, exposée aux côtés du pianiste. Quelle merveilleuse expérience de vivre le mariage de la musique et de la peinture en se laissant emmener par la sonate “Quasi una fantasia” de Beethoven en redécouvrant ma peinture. Denis Grotsky a interprété également une suite de “Tableaux d’en France”qu’il a composé en 2016 et qui montre la diversité et la grande qualité de ses talents.

Après le concert, le compositeur et pianiste Franck Ciup, ami de Massoud Besharat, est venu se joindre à Denis Grotsky pour offrir un magnifique moment d’improvisations à 4 mains. Puis un jeune acteur a déclamé avec beaucoup de talent des poèmes, notamment certains de Rimbaud. Un merveilleux dialogue s’est ainsi créé entre piano et poésie, nous aurions désiré pouvoir prolonger loin dans la nuit.  

La Besharat Gallery de Barbizon expose régulièrement mes travaux, et la Besharat Arts Foundation m’a invitée pour une résidence d’artiste à Atlanta en octobre-novembre 2018.

ARTIST RESIDENCY, Atlanta

 Invited by the Besharat Foundation for 6 weeks of création

After my residency in Beijing from March to May 2018, I went to the United States in Atlanta with 10 French artists for a 6 weeks creation period, invited by the Besharat Foundation. It occupies the entire building with its 3 galleries, offices and lofts.

Initially, each artist installs his/her space located inside one of the galleries. The walls and the floor must be protected by plastic sheeting and we start work with enthusiasm!

ORIGINAL IMPULSE VI- 180x180 cm

My personal theme for this residency is "how to express the search for the initial impulse that sets the Universe moving from shapeless chaos to free organization and life around us". What a mystery! My process consisted in first placing myself in harmony with the creation as a whole, with its energy and all its vibrations, then letting my own feelings express themselves.

Working in residency is a very special occasion because it makes you want to detach oneself from its usual patterns and discover in complete freedom experiments of compositions, new techniques and new media. We surprise ourselves and we are plunged into the pleasure of "let it come".

At the end of the residency, an exhibition was organized to allow the American public to discover the sixty works created by the 10 artists whose plastic expressions offered a very varied range. The exchanges with the public and between the artists themselves have been very rewarding.

I exhibited 8 paintings including several large sizes of 1.80mx1.80m. All are titled "Original Impulse", numbered I to VIII.

During the residency there were some relaxing moments including walks along the very lively Chattahoochee river that rises in the mountains of the northeastern Georgia, and crosses Atlanta before heading south to Alabama and Florida.

There was also a visit to the beautiful colonial city of South America, Savannah, which took us back to the history of the American Civil War where it held an important place for the Southern Confederation. There is a very fine match between colonial architecture and parks with their fountains in the heart of small squares in the shade of an invading nature that makes it the most romantic city in America!

The 9 painters and 2 sculptors of the residency. A friendship was born between us thanks to all these moments shared in the remarkable setting of the Besharat Foundation, animated by an extraordinary staff and surrounded by the joy of living of Luis Perez and Massoud Besharat.

Arès ma résidence à Pékin de mars à mai 2018, je suis partie, invitée par la Fondation Besharat, aux Etats Unis à Atlanta avec 10 artistes français pour une période de création de 6 semaines, le bâtiment comprend 3 galeries, des bureaux et des lofts d’habitation.

Chaque artiste a installé « son » espace situé à l’intérieur même de l’une des galeries. Les murs et le sol sont protégés par des bâches plastiques et l’on se met au travail avec enthousiasme !

J’ai retenu comme thème de cette résidence « comment exprimer la recherche de l’impulsion initiale qui met en mouvement l’Univers pour passer du chaos informe à la libre organisation et à la vie qui nous entourent ». Mon cheminement a consisté à me placer tout d’abord en harmonie avec la création dans son ensemble, avec son énergie et toutes ses vibrations, puis à laisser s’exprimer mes propres sensations.

Travailler en résidence donne l’envie de se détacher de ses schémas habituels et de découvrir en toute liberté des expérimentations de compositions, de techniques et de matières nouvelles. On se surprend soi-même, c’est le plaisir du « laisser venir ».

Une exposition a été organisée pour permettre au public américain de découvrir la soixantaine d’œuvres créées par les 10 artistes dont les expressions plastiques étaient très différentes. Les échanges avec le public et entre les artistes eux-mêmes ont été très enrichissants.

J’ai exposé 8 toiles dont plusieurs grands formats de 1,80mx1,80m.  Toutes ont pour titres « Original Impulse », numérotées I à VIII.

Il y eut aussi quelques moments de détente notamment des balades le long de la très vivante rivière Chattahoochee qui prend sa source dans les montagnes du nord-est de la Géorgie, et traverse Atlanta avant de se diriger plein sud vers l’Alabama et la Floride. Puis un week-end à visiter la très belle ville « coloniale » du Sud-Américain, Savannah, qui nous a replongés dans l’histoire de la guerre de Sécession où elle a occupé une place importante pour la Confédération Sudiste. Un bel accord entre l’architecture coloniale et les parcs avec leurs fontaines au cœur de petits squares à l’ombre d’une nature envahissante en fait la ville la plus romantique de l’Amérique.

Une belle amitié s’est développée entre les 9 peintres et 2 sculpteurs, grâce à tous ces moments partagés dans le cadre remarquable de la Fondation Besharat, animé par un staff très présent et envahi par la joie de vivre de Luis Perez et de Massoud Besharat.

“PAGES D’ARTISTES” EXHIBITION, Caen

“The seven gardens of the sea” by Anne Pourny is exposed at the Library of Caen.

The new library exhibits for the first time a fund of its heritage, a choice of acquisitions among its 350 artists’ books.

The texts explaining the different techniques are written on huge pages suspended in the exhibition space.

The “artist’s book” is a dialog between an artist and an author. The artist takes the text of an author to express in a plastic way adding the artist’s imagination and the choice of typography. Texts and images unite to make a unique creation and the whole is a work of art.

Sometimes it is the work of an artist who inspires the poet, and sometimes the creator is only one person. The so-called “precious books” are published in a very few copies. They are acquired by collectors and libraries.

The book ( 32x45x3cm) is inspired by poems of Salah Stétié, Lebanese poet who writes in French. It is engraved and printed by the artist, and includes 8 Arabic calligraphies of Fady.

An original medaillon created by the artist is placed on each book’s cover.

A tablet on the side of the showcase allows the public to scroll through all pages to watch them and eventually enlarge them.

La nouvelle bibliothèque expose pour la première fois un fonds de son patrimoine, un choix d’acquisitions parmi ses 350 livres.

Les textes expliquant les différentes techniques sont inscrits sur des grandes pages suspendues dans l’espace de l’exposition.

Le “Livre d’artiste” est une rencontre entre un artiste et un auteur. L’artiste s’empare du texte d’un auteur pour en exprimer plastiquement le sens et les sentiments ressentis auquel il ajoute son propre imaginaire et le choix de la typographie. Textes et images s’unissent pour fire une création unique et l’ensemble fait oeuvre d’art.

Le livre est ici présenté sous vitrine, à côté d’elle une tablette permet au public de faire défiler toutes les pages pour les regarder et éventuellement les agrandir.

Parfois c’est le travail d’un artiste qui inspire le poète, et parfois le créateur du livre n’est qu’une seule personne. Ces livres dits “précieux” sont édités à très peu d’exemplaires. Ils sont acquis par des collectionneurs et des bibliothèques.

Le livre de Salah Stétié, poète Libanais qui écrit en français, est accompagné de 7 gravures d’Anne Pourny, gravées et tirées par l’artiste, et de 8 calligraphies de Fady. Son format est de 32x45x3cm. Un médaillon original crée par l’artiste orne la couverture.

The exhibition, organized by the “Cercle du Mont-Cenis” and the Association “Les Murs de la Tuilière”, took place from June 29 to July 10, 2018 at the famous gallery of the Senate Orangery.

L’exposition, organisée par le Cercle du Mont Cenis et l’Association Les Murs de la Tuilière, s’est tenue du 29 juin au 10 juillet 2018 à la célèbre galerie de l’Orangerie du Sénat

My 7 exposed paintings, whose energy is enhanced by the light coming from the high windows, express the strength of the great rhythms of nature.

Mes 7 peintures exposées, dont l’énergie est renforcée par la lumière venant des hautes verrières, exprime la force des grands rythmes de la nature.

The installation of a group show is always a happy moment of sharing and doubt.

L’installation d’une exposition de groupe est toujours un moment de partage et de doute, dans la bonne humeur.

A tribute is paid to Franck Duminil (1933-2014), who was at the origin of the Cercle du Mont Cenis, by the exhibition of two of his paintings and a text by Brigitte Quilhot-Gesseaume recalling his work. He was for me a researcher, a discoverer, a « passeur » who always knew how to promote the dialogue between artists. In an effort to promote an art in search of meaning, Franck gathered in Le Cercle du Mont Cenis the amateurs and collectors of art, the patrons and humanists of all disciplines.

Un hommage est rendu à Franck Duminil (1933-2014), qui fut à l’origine du Cercle du Mont Cenis, par l’exposition de deux de ses peintures et un texte de Brigitte Quilhot Gesseaume présentant son œuvre.

Il était pour moi un chercheur, un découvreur, un passeur qui a toujours su favoriser le dialogue entre artistes. Désireux de promouvoir un art en quête de sens, Franck a réuni dans le Cercle du Mont-Cenis les amateurs et collectionneurs d’art, les mécènes et humanistes de toutes disciplines.

A few days after the opening, violinist and friend Denis Voisin returned to the exhibition to unite the vision of my paintings with his own musical choices: this musical interlude was a surprise and a special moment of happiness!

Quelques jours après le vernissage, le violoniste et ami Denis Voisin revient à l’exposition pour unir à la vision de mes peintures ses propres choix musicaux : cet intermède musical fut une surprise et un moment privilégié de bonheur !

ARTIST RESIDENCY, Beijing

2 months of creation and an exhibition

The environment of my second artist residency experience in China is very different from that of last year when I was working at the Ningbo Museum of Contemporary Art, near Shanghai. My studio was then in the heart of the museum, itself located in the center of the city. Here, I am very far from the center of Beijing, after the 4th ring road and in the middle of a set of warehouses turned into lofts for start-up companies in digital and video domains.

Being far from all the shops I have to resort to Alibaba and Taobao, the local Amazon, for the installation of the studio. The studio being not ready yet, I started working on the floor.

The 9th of June was the opening for the exhibition of the 14 paintings I made during my residency. My friend the Chinese artist Wang Yan Cheng also exhibited 4 of his latest creations.

The salons of the ENVY Fine Art Gallery constitute a remarkable setting that allows a particularly bright presentation of my paintings.

During this residency, the mystery of inspiration found in me new sources of energy and freedom that resulted in new compositions and sometimes surprising outbursts.

I cannot anymore find "Harmony in Chaos", which was the title of the works created at the Ningbo Museum last year. Today, by this series to which I gave the title "Tumultes", I want to show the diversity of the movements that animate the universe.

RESIDENCE D’ARTISTE à Beijing

L’environnement de ma deuxième expérience de résidence d’artiste en Chine est très différent de celui de l’année dernière quand je travaillais au sein du Musée d’Art Contemporain de Ningbo, près de Shanghaï. Mon atelier était alors au coeur du musée, lui-même situé au centre de la ville. Ici, je suis très loin du centre de Pékin, après le 4ème périphérique et au milieu d’un ensemble d’entrepôts transformés en lofts pour des sociétés start up dans le numérique et la vidéo.  

Etant éloignée de tous les commerces il me faut recourir à Alibaba et Taobao, l’Amazon local, pour l’installation de l’atelier. L’atelier n’est pas encore prêt, je commence à travailler sur le sol. Puis les toiles sur châssis arrivent, et les murs de l’atelier s’animent.

C’est le 9 juin que s’est tenue le vernissage de l’exposition des 14 peintures que j’avais réalisées pendant ma résidence.  Mon ami, l’artiste Wang Yan Cheng exposait également 4 de ses dernières créations.

Les salons de la Galerie ENVY Fine Art constituent un écrin remarquable qui permettent une présentation particulièrement lumineuse de mes tableaux.

Pendant cette résidence, le mystère de l’inspiration a trouvé en moi d’autres sources d’énergie et de liberté qui se sont traduites par des compositions nouvelles et parfois par des déchaînements surprenants.

Je ne retrouve plus « Harmony in Chaos », qui fut le titre des œuvres créées au Musée de Ningbo l’année dernière. Aujourd’hui, par cette série à laquelle j’ai donné pour titre « Tumultes », je veux montrer la diversité des mouvements qui animent l’univers.

Elle a organisé un stage à Martisserre, Haute Garonne du 5 au 10 février 2018

Anne Pourny had met the painter SUN Ning during her residency at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ningbo, China in 2017.  She organized an internship in Martisserre, Haute Garonne from 5 to 10 February 2018 for an introduction to the brush work on rice paper.

MUSEE PAUL VALERY, Sète

Célébration de la création d'une " Salle Salah Stétié "

Salah Stétié et Anne Pourny.

Le 16 Décembre 2017, Anne Pourny était invitée par le MUSEE PAUL VALERY de Sète pour la célébration de la création d'une "Salle Salah Stétié" où seront exposées en permanence les œuvres de la donation que vient de réaliser le poète en faveur du musée.

Quelle Nuit de François Cheng et Anne Pourny

La peinture "Force Bleue VII" et le livre d’artiste "Les 7 jardins de la Mer" de la collection de Salah Stétié font partie de cette donation.

Il faut noter que le Musée Paul Valérie avait acquis en 2014 la grande peinture "Flux III" d’Anne Pourny

On December 16, 2017, Anne Pourny was invited by the PAUL VALERY MUSEUM of Sète for the celebration of the creation of the Salle Salah Stétié, where the art works of the donation just made by Salah Stétié will be on permanent display.

The painting "Flux III" and the artis's book "Les 7 jardins de la Mer" of Anne Pourny are part of this donation.

It should be noted that the Paul Valéry Museum acquired in 2014 a large painting of Anne Pourny, named "Flux III"

Le 26 octobre 2017 eut lieu le vernissage de l’exposition L’ABSTRACTION AUJOURD’HUI à la Fondation Taylor à Paris.

Anne Pourny est le Commissaire de l’exposition qui réunit les œuvres de 17 peintres et sculpteurs, particulièrement représentatifs de l’évolution actuelle de l’art abstrait.

On October 26, 2017, the opening of the exhibition THE ABSTRACTION TODAY was held at the Taylor Foundation in Paris. Anne Pourny is the curator of the exhibition which brings together the works of 17 painters and sculptors, particularly representative of the current evolution of abstract art.
