7/7  Breaking the law (part 2)

This is it, people, the last installment of this series. So, what have we learned so far about our beloved detective inspector? Let's do a recap, shall we?

1. Wooing for information is an important part of Jack's job description - and he's very good at his job

2. He can kiss like nobody's business - a required skill when dealing with uncooperative witnesses

3. Sometimes, protecting Miss Fisher from harm means knocking her unconscious - a head injury is better than getting shot, right?

4. Explaining science - not really necessary for the job, but crucial if he wants to impress a certain lady detective

5. Breaking and entering - a necessary evil

6. Sometimes turning a blind eye to Miss Fisher's antics is better than the alternative

7. Evidence confiscated in a search/raid can get burned/lost during the collecting process.

Let's never forget that Jack Robinson is a very honorable and upright police officer, whose job just got a little bit more spicy under Miss Fisher's (bad) influence.

Jack has a very unique way of protecting Miss Fisher from harm. He knocks her down. She doesn't look too happy about his modus operandi but, hey, it's all done in the line of duty. "It's all part of the job", as Jack once said. Enjoy! 💋

3/?  The Witness Protection Program

Have you ever heard of the Witness Protection Program? Oh, you haven't? Then Jack is just the man to explain it to us. It basically means that the police officer has to kiss the witness senseless when the aforementioned witness does not respond to normal voice commands. Oh, and the next step in the standard Witness Protection Program procedure is to apologize for the kiss if necessary.

Senior Detective Inspector Jack Robinson is a very good police officer and a very talented investigator. And sometimes he likes to personalize his modus operandi. In other words, he does it the Jack Robinson style.

1/?  Wooing the witness for information - (part 1)

Detective Inspector Jack Robinson is used to women trying to woo him in the hope of getting away with whatever it is they're doing and he disapproves of (as is often the case with Miss Fisher). But sometimes he's the one doing the wooing. Of course, all in the line of duty.

11/? Death On The Vine (S2E10) - part 3

Hugh wants to marry Dot. And for that to happen, he has to propose first, right? Well, one cannot say that he didn't try. He's just got the timing all wrong. Let's see:

- First try - in Maiden Creek, the small town where they all know, murder and cover for each other.

- Second try - at the police station, when Dot wasn't very hungry, unfortunately. She was more concerned about Miss Fisher and the Inspector being trapped in that dreadful town.

- Third try - Miss Fisher's kitchen. Well, as Miss Fisher used to put it, "Third time lucky". 💍

AND, while Hugh was popping the question, our favorite detectives were sharing a bottle of Phryne flavored wine. 💖

Lately, Jack seemed to have welcomed Miss Fisher's presence at his crime scenes. Until now. One would think that he is trying to keep something from her. Like a secret. Oh, wait, he is. He's keeping Concetta away from Phryne. Also the fact that he's having dinner "many, many times" with the Camorristi. And now he's scared out of his wits that something might happen to her if she would get too involved. So he's trying to keep her out of it. What he doesn't know, but will soon find out, is that Phryne is just as concerned about his safety as he is about hers. And she would do anything to keep him safe.
