The Sims 4 Taylor Swift Eras Challenge: Speak Now Era

In this era, our main character’s name is Iris Swift. Iris learned to be independent at a young age as a result of having 6 siblings but inspite having a big family, her parents always had time for all of them and plenty of love to go around. She and her mother Juliet, a stay-at-home mom, are best friends and at a young age she taught Iris to cook. This inspired her to pursue a career as a chef.

She was never really interested in love at a young age despite her brother and all her friends finding love interests. Not until she was dragged by her friends to a Romance Festival in the city where she meets an older guy named Soda Uchida, a fast food employee who aspires to become a famous artist. She was smitten with him the second they met, thinking, how come there are no interesting men her age. Her whole family hates Soda and warned her about him except her mother who tried her best to like him and be supportive of her daughter. Once Iris graduated high school she was recruited at a restaurant job in the city and Soda asked her to move in immediately. She accepted which made her father mad and her mother devastated but her mother talked her father down and ultimately they supported her with her decision.

While living in the city, Iris prospered in her career and she encourages Soda to follow his dreams. She was so supportive of him as a result, Soda slowly became known for his art and he started pulling away from her which made Iris realize she needed friends own the city. She met a few people and made new friends but most notably she meets, Bowen Imai, who became her best friend and shoulder to cry on as a bonus her family loves him. She was extremely attracted to him but puts her feelings aside because of Soda.

Soda meets a B-lister, named Ayumi Ota who he planned to string along and use as a stepping stone for his budding career as an artist. He made Ayumi fall in love with him and they eloped. He brought her home after the wedding to celebrate. Iris caught them in the act and was heartbroken.

Sota confessed to her and told Iris they are married. She kicked him out but she couldn’t stay in the apartment that night so she called Bowen and asked him to go on a trip with her. They went on a vacation in Tartosa and while spending time together, she realized she had been in love with him all along but she doesn’t want to make a move thinking he might think he is her rebound. But one night, while they were both relaxing in a hot tub, Bowen confessed his love for her knowing full well that it might not be the right time but she leapt to him and kissed him. She told her how she felt and how all this time, Soda was never the guy for her, that she was meant to be with him, Bowen!

Iris and Bowen went back to the city happier than ever. After sometime, Iris learned she is pregnant from their wonderful night in Tartosa. She told Bowen right away and he was so excited. He asked her to marry him. They named him Adam. They moved in together and eventually had another baby named Hunter but was too busy to plan a wedding. But by the time Iris found out she was pregnant for the 3rd time, Bowen proposed to her again. They finally got married while she was pregnant with our new heir, Gracie. ❤️

Mastering Cooking and Gourmet Cooking was pretty straight forward. Her Career requirement was fairly easy too. Even her Soulmate Aspiration went really fast. The most challenging part of this Era was finding a sim Iris was extremely attracted to but I had so much fun playing the storytelling aspect of this Era. It was exciting to say the least. 💜

The Sims 4 Taylor Swift Eras Challenge: Fearless Era

The second generation of the Taylor Swift Eras Challenge is an only child. She is the daughter of my Taylor Swift (Gen 1) and Harry Styles sim. Juliet Swift looks a lot like her father.

As I was playing Juliet in her teen years, I realized I didn’t give her enough challenges to do during this time. All her challenges involves her being a young adult and the only thing I could work on was the story line where she falls in love in high school to someone her mother hates. It sort of made the challenge a bit slow. I have the High School Years pack and I was fairly new to playing it and I didn’t quite know it’s quirks and features. I didn’t realize I can give her after school activities. Juliet was a Social Butterfly kid and I wish I put her in Drama Club because fast forward to her early young adult years I decided to get her into the Acting Career since she was already famous for being a nepo baby. 😅 Anyway, as I was saying, taskwise it got a bit dull.

To find her her perfect childhood sweetheart, I used the Scope Surroundings feature of the WonderfulWhims Mod. Noah Kane is a pre-made sims from the High School Years pack. He is a member of the football team so it would have been a perfect reference to High School Musical if I did the drama club thing. 😔

Juliet and Noah got married right after graduation. I bulit them a Spanish Colonial home in Oasis Springs that I can upgrade as the family grows. Juliet becomes pregnant with the heir early on. I named her Iris like the purple flower. Juliet quits acting and became a stay-at-home mother. Her second child is a boy named Indigo. Then, twin girls named Lila and Lily, boy named Slate as her fifth child and finally, a girl named Amethyst.

Mastering the parenting skill was an easy task because she raised 6 children. This made becoming friends with her children easy too. What I had some trouble with was completing the Big Happy Family aspiration because by Level 3 milestones she needed a married child so what I did was I made her 2nd child Indigo fall in love with a girl from his highschool named Rowan and he accidentally gets her pregnant after graduation. They marry right away and moved in with Rowan’s family. But then, Juliet needed more grandchildren for her Level 4 milestones and our heir Iris is still not ready to have children and by this time, tgere had to be an overlap between two heirs and J was mostly playing with Iris who moved to San Myshuno with an older guy. So I used the “Discuss Expanding the Family” on Indigo a lot so he’d have more babies.

The Fearless Generation was a bit dull in the teen years and I could have made it a bit more fun by playing with the High School Years pack but by the time she had a family it became a lot more challenging especially when raising 6 kids. It was chaotic! Ultimately, I still had fun with Juliet and her Big Happy Family. 💛

The Sims 4 Taylor Swift Eras Challenge: Debut Era

You can play this challenge any way you want. You can try it in short, normal or long lifespan. I am playing mine on normal. I enjoy playing with female sims so I decided to make the main characters female. I made a rule for myself that the heir must to be the first born female and pass on the Swift surname to all children. But then again, feel free not to follow this rule. 😉

I wanted to start this matriarchy with the “Mother” herself… Taylor Swift. Since she is to become a single mother, I thought it might be cute to give her a house like Lorelai Gilmore’s house in Stars Hollow. Luckily, there is a house in Willow Creek with the similar layout. I transformed it to a green Debut Era house.

My next mission was to make a sim to be her lover. I looked for a Harry Styles sim from the gallery and downloaded it. I also made him a B-lister celebrity who is also in the musician carreer and moved him in Willow Creek too. I know Harry was 1989 era but I have always wanted them to end up together so I made it happen in my game. 😅

In completing the Musical Genius aspiration, you have to reach level 8 of an instrument before you can write songs. I had a hard time writing songs only because they take so long to finish but I powered through.

I know the challenge only asks you to reach level 8 of the Entertainment career but I finish this to level 10 just because I still have enough time to do it. The Guitar and singing was fairly easy to finish. I made her sing in the shower a lot just to help speed things along. If I am remembering correctly, I think the singing thing was the last thing I actually finished.

In achieving Superstar Status, what helped me the most is posting on social media and streaming while playing guitar and piano or singing songs. I thought this would be the hardest part of the challenge but once I thought of streaming her music practice live it became so easy.

With regards to the storyline, Taylor and Harry met at the gym. Since he was a B-lister, I had to try to introduce myself a couple of times until finally it worked. Dating a celebrity also helped with my fame and eventually, I surpassed his level of fame and became more famous than him. They got married and tried for baby. When Taylor got pregnant and more famous, Harry became a little resentful and dated another girl on the side. Taylor caught them having woohoo in their home. She was furious, kicked him out of the house and divorced him. She had a daughter, I named her Juliet Swift. Taylor raises her alone but eventually let Harry back inyo their lives. I gave Juliet the Social Butterfly aspiration. She played a little guitar and piano because Taylor needed to mentor someone for her Musical Genius Aspiration. Taylor and Harry patched things up and stayed friends… more than friends actually. I liked the idea of them getting together once in a while so I made that happen.

Debut gen was fun! I have never had a sim reach Global Superstar status before. I actually doubted I could reach that level of fame in a normal lifespan but I did it and it was so satisfying to see her walk around with her fame shine effect. 💚⭐️

The Sims 4 Taylor Swift Eras Challenge

It’s me! Hi! Welcome!

I sometimes fancy myself as a Mastermind. I had an idea of making a new Sims 4 legacy challange based on Taylor Swift’s Eras. First things first, I googled if something like it exist. I found @gillysims “Swiftacy” challenge and it was really awesome! I decided there is no harm in trying. I could still make my own. So you might find a bit of similarities in our challenges. I also combined it with a little of @lilsimsie ‘s “Not-so-Berry” challenge. I cooked it up in my head. I based every generation to a Taylor Swift era and songs from the corresponding album to make a story for each sim. I have no idea if the challenges are doable in one normal sim lifespan but hey, this is me trying. 😅
