i am very tired in a very general sense. my mum had a stroke last month, and though it was very minor and she's already fully recovering, the expenses put us in deep shit. and last week my dad had emergency openheart surgery (literally 2 weeks after they discovered the heart disease it was that bad).

im not doing well. im so tired. im trying to visit the city aforementioned dad lives in to also see friends and get responsibilities done, but its not easy and family obviously cant help. im so tired and so done

hello, i hope you are doing well. i recently saw some of your posts on islamic thought and opinion, and it inspired me to learn more about islamic teachings. for context, I am a born hindu and lifelong atheist - islam has always been othered in my country, but I think it has a very interesting perspective worth learning about, and want to see for myself what is preached given how much fearmongering happens in our national popular media. i was hoping to ask, could you please suggest some sources to read? i know the Qur'an, but have no clue about which translation/ scholar. thank you and a late eid al adha mubarak xx
