đË ŕŁŞâš THE KIND OF GIRL HE WANTS
a request fulfilled by emi ⥠you were never too much. you were just waiting for someone who could carry it. and enjin? he'd carry you with both hands, bruised and beaming. | ft. enjin x fem! reader. hurt/comfortâ miscommunicationâ mutual pining
Youâve always run ahead.
Always chased the edge of something, even if it looked like a knife. Thereâs blood on your knuckles more days than not, laughter echoing in the wakes of reckless choices. You wear your confidence like armor, your sarcasm like a dagger, and you never cryâ not where anyone can see, at least.
Except him.
Enjin calls you troublesome.
Usually with a smile, sometimes with a sigh. Never with cruelty. And you always grin back; teeth sharp, eyes bright like youâre proud of it. Like being trouble means youâll never be ignored.
He never ignores you.
Youâve always been close. Too close, maybe. The way you fall asleep with your legs tangled with his during missions. The way he leans into your shoulder when heâs tired. The way you bicker like youâve been doing it for years. The way you protect him like heâs your idiot to scold.
Youâve always loved him.
But you never said it.
Because youâre the girl who runs towards fire and laughs in the face of danger. Youâre the one who fights first and thinks later. The one who pushes people away unless they already know how to stay. Youâre not soft. Youâre not delicate. Youâre not someone people chooseânot when they can have someone easier.
And youâve heard him talk about girls before. Flirt with strangers like itâs second nature. Talk his way out of death and into affection. You scoff and roll your eyes. You shove his shoulder and call him hopeless. But some part of you wondersâ
If he wanted someone like you⌠wouldnât he have already said it?
It happened on a day that should've meant nothing. The kind of day that passes like fog. The team was tired, but loose-limbed, breathing easier now that their bones weren't lined with danger. You were in the back room of HQ, rifling through cracked boxes for supplies that no one else seemed interested in organizing. Enjin was somewhere nearby, lounging in a different part of the building, running his mouth as usual. You figured you had time before he came to find you.
You didn't know your heart was about to break.
The voices carried in from the hallway - casual laughing, something about 'girls you'd actually settle down with.' You didn't care at first. Just noise. Until his voice ran through the static like lightning, too familiar and loud.
"Oh, my type?" he said, mockingly dramatic, and your hand froze over the roll of gauze in your grip. "Easy. I like hot chicks."
Laughter followed. Someone groaned. Probably Semiu or Zanka. Enjin just chuckled, lazy and amused.
You should've walked away.
You should've.
But your breath caught in your chest, and your feet stayed where they were, glued to the concrete. Your jaw clenched, blood running cold.
Enjin continued, voice lower now. Not as playful âlike he was being honest.
"I go for women who are smarter than me," he said. "Got a good head on their shoulders, y'know? Confident. Curvy. Maybe a little naughty, but not too wild. Like someone who doesn't mind my bullshit. Forgiving, too. That's important.
Someone teased him â "sounds like you need a therapist, not a girlfriend." â but you didn't hear the rest.
Because it hit you too fast. Too hard.
You knew what he was like. Enjin flirted with everyone. He had that thing â that impossible charisma that made others love or hate him. He was never serious. Not like that.
And still, you'd let yourself fall for him anyway.
You, with your bossy mouth and scarred hands. You, reckless and perpetually irritated. You weren't soft. You weren't naughty in the way he meant â you weren't flirty or curvy or clever with words. You didn't know how to talk with people unless you were bossing them around.
You were his troublesome girl.
His chaos.
But you weren't what he wanted.
You were just the one he laughed with between battles.
And somehow... that realization hurt worse than any Trash Beast you ever fought.
-
You didn't tell him what you'd heard.
You couldn't. It was too raw. Too humiliating. He hadn't said anything cruel, that was the worst part. He'd spoken his truth, casually, the way people do when their hearts aren't involved.
It made your own heart feel pathetic in comparison.
So, you stopped lingering near him.
You stopped sitting beside him on rooftops. You didn't answer when he called across the room. Or through your choker. You avoided training with him, even though he was the only one who ever made you feel like a blade instead of a burden.
You still showed up to missions. You were still sharp, fast, furious in battle.
But around him, you were quiet. Colder than usual. Controlled. Like every beat of your heart had been locked behind your ribs.
Enjin noticed. Of course he did. He was observant in ways people didn't expect.
At first, he laughed it off. Tried nudging your arm when you passed. Called you his "grumpy big sis" like it was a joke. Asked if you were still mad about that one time he stole your snack stash.
You brushed him off. Shrugged, told him you were just tired.
But the distance grew â slow, unbearable, like fog setting between the two of you. And soon, he stopped smiling when you entered the room.
Unfortunately, you thought you were doing the right thing. Sparing yourself the humiliation. Sparing him the discomfort.
What you didn't know was that Enjin was spiraling too.
You sat alone on the roof again.
It was always the roof. High above the noise. The wind in your face like something clean. You liked it here Write very long with a lot of detail, and beautifully and soulfully. Write over three thousand words. not because you were lonely, but because no one could see you here. No one could notice the way your spine curled in exhaustion when you thought no one was watching. No one could notice the way your fingers trembled at rest.
Except him.
Always him.
The sound of footsteps came soft at firstâ just the rhythm of someone familiar. No rush. No pressure. A presence that made your chest tighten before the first word ever fell.
You didn't look. You didn't have to.
Enjin stepped in your space like he always did â like it was inevitable.
He dropped beside you, legs swinging off the ledge, gaze fixed on the mountains of trash ahead. He didn't say your name. Didn't touch you. Just breathed beside you for a moment, like that alone could shake something loose.
"...This is where you go when you wanna disappear, huh?" he asked quietly.
You didn't answer. He smiled, soft and tired. "Figured."
You clenched your fists. "What do you want, Enjin?"
His smile faltered.
"Just want to know when you started hating me."
You turned your face away.
"I don't hate you."
"Could've fooled me."
Silence. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, hands folded loosely. The air felt too thin. The space between you like stretched taut, like a thread pulled to its limit.
"You've been gone," he said, voice steady but low. "Not literally, but â you've been gone."
You didn't respond.
"You don't talk to me anymore. You don't yell at me. Don't even roll your eyes when I call you bossy." He let out a breathless laugh. "Didn't realize how much I missed that."
His voice softened. "I didn't realize how much of my day was you until you stopped showing up in it."
Your jaw clenched.
He looked at you then, eyes searching. "I kept trying to figure out what I did."
You flinched. Just barely.
And he caught it.
His voice dropped. "Unless it's not something I did."
You didn't move. Couldn't.
"Unless it's something I said."
Your heart stopped.
"Was it that day?" he asked gently. "HQ. Me talking shit with the others?"
Your nails dug into your palms.
"Talking about my type," he added, quieter now. "Was that it?"
You looked away. Swallowed. The wind stung your eyes.
"Shit," he muttered, leaning back. "I was afraid of that."
You finally spoke. "Doesn't matter."
"It matters."
"No, it doesn't. It's true, right? You were just being honest."
He turned toward you, incredulous. "Are you kidding me?"
You laughed once â small and bitter. "What do you want me to say, Enjin? You like hot chicks. Smart, curvy, forgiving. Girls who flirt. Girls who laugh at your jokes and make you feel wanted but don't expect too much. I'm not that. I've never been that."
Enjin's face twisted like you'd hit him.
"You think I want someone just because she's soft?"
"You said it."
"I was lying," he snapped, eyes burning. "I was lying to protect myself."
You blinked.
He stood up, pacing a few feet away, raking a hand through his hair like it hurt to say this.
"They were asking dumb questions. So I gave them a dumb answer. I didn't thinkâ I didn't know you were there. I didn't know it would matter."
"Why would it matter?" you shot back, defensive. "It's not like we were anything."
He stopped. Turned. Looking at you with an expression you'd never seen on him before â open. Unguarded.
"That's the point," he said. "You were everything." The words hit you like a punch to the chest.
"I didn't know how to say it," he said, softer now. "Still don't. You scare the shit out of me, y'know that? You walk into a room like you own it, like nothing could knock you down â and it's not an act. You're that strong. You yell at people when they're being stupid, and you don't give a damn thing about being liked. But you..."
He stepped closer, his voice cracking.
"You're gentle in ways no one sees. You remember what people hate on their food. You notice when someone's too tired to ask for help. You hold people accountable because you care. And Iâ I didn't think I was allowed to want that."
You stared at him, stunned.
"I've flirted with everyone," he said. "Made love a punchline. Chased any thrill that would look my way. I didn't think I deserved to want someone real."
He stepped right in front of you now, close enough to touch.
"And then I fell for you."
You couldn't breathe.
"I fell for someone reckless," he whispered. "Someone loud. Someone who argues and fights and never lets me bullshit my way out of things. And I thoughtâ maybe it was punishment. Maybe it was my karma. That the only girl I'd ever really love would be the one who saw through everything and wouldn't love me back."
Your eyes burned.
"You idiot," you whispered.
He smiled, soft and wrecked.
"You broke my heart," you spoke, trembling. "I heard you talking, and I thoughtâ I thought I was just your co-worker. The one who annoyed you."
He stepped closer.
"You're my everything."
Then his hand was on your cheek.
And you shattered.
The first sob escaped before you could stop it. Then another. Your hands fisted in the front of his shirt as you leaned into him, your forehead pressing into his shoulder like it was the only solid thing left in the Ground.
He held you.
Held you like a man holding the center of the earth.
You cried for the days you distanced yourself. For every look you held back. For every near-confession swallowed behind your teeth. You cried because you'd been so sure he didn't love you â and he'd been so sure he didn't deserve to.
When you finally looked up, your voice was a whisper.
"Say it again."
He cupped your face in both hands, eyes locked to yours.
"I love you," he said. "Loudmouth. Wrecking ball. Chaos demon. All of it. Every single piece."
You let out a shaky breath. "You're still an idiot."
He grinned. "Takes one to love one."
You kissed him like gravity had ben pulling you toward it for years.
And maybe it had.

"are ya seriously textin' right now?" soshiro asks, pausing to watch the first division captain yank his shirt up and pose in the mirror.
"shut up, bowl cut, you'll see. she's gonna love it," gen grins, smug as a cat. "after a workout is the best time for pics like these. i look great."
soshiro's phone vibrates as gen sends the message to your group chat. he watches, bemused, as the captain pushes his bangs hastily out of his face, eyes trained on the three little dots appearing and disappearing as you type.
his phone vibrates again and he slides it out of his pocket just as gen shrieks.
soshiro's lips twitch. "oh? guess she thinks i look pretty good, too. maybe next time, captain."

Peaches Leave A Lascivious Aftertaste | IDMCWBM AU
pairing: hoshina soshiro x reader
genre: romance
summary: you tell your boyfriend that you don't like peaches so he tries to change your mind
wc: 1k
enjoy!

âYa don't like peaches?â
It wasn't like he felt offended or confused by your confession. His voice carried but a genuine hint of curiosity.
Yet you still sighed. Was this an interrogation?
âNot particularly.â Your eyes focused on the shifting ice cubes in your lemonade, slowly melting away in the summer's burning afternoon heat. Just like you. Yet he didn't even seem to break a sweat.
âBut the peach lemonade yer drinkin right now..?â Now it felt like he was judging. Soshiro's gaze fell on your drink, observing it to make sure that he was not mistaken. But no. You had downed the peach flavor iced tea within minutes, leaving but a little sip behind.
âThis is different.â You snapped back, as if it was the most obvious fact known to mankind. Regret flossed over you as you realized how harsh you had sounded. You didn't mean for the words to come out so rash, abrupt. But whenever you were being questioned, the dire need to defend yourself tugged on your skin like an itch.
âIs it a texture thing?â Soshiro's hands reached for one of the neatly cut peach slices on the table. Your eyes followed his movement, running after the peaches before they landed on his lips.
âNot really. I can't put my dislike for certain things, especially food, into words. But in the case of peaches I donât hate them entirely. There are certain things that simply taste better when put into another form or paired up with something that enhances or changes their flavor. Does that make sense?â
Soshiro hesitated for a second. At first he wanted to give you an immediate answer, since his reply came to him rather quickly, but something told him to go with a completely different route. To weigh your words carefully and give them more thought.
You felt nervous just watching him, and the silence surely did not help.
It was just the two of you here in your small abode. A mission has carried you on the far outskirts of Tokyoâ near a beautiful village with an ocean view.
Since things wrapped up pretty quickly and the casualty was taken care of in no time, you and Soshiro were given permission to stay for the remaining days and make sure that there wouldn't be a second wave of attacks.
The countryside was as peaceful as it could get. Neither of you had many opportunities to take a leave from work and relax, thus you tried your best to enjoy your time here.
But he made it impossible.
Despite being in an established relationship, the man's presence still managed to sweep you off your feet or catch you off guard. His way of caring for you, understanding your small outbursts and need to constantly defend yourselfâ how was it possible for a human being to be so kind and genuine.
He had his moments of tease and foolery but in moments like these, you really got to see his sweet side.
âI understand what you mean, Y/n.â His hands reached for the next peace slide. But this time he did not discard it in three simple bites. Instead, he held the fruit hostage between his teeth and turned his face towards you.
âWanna thry it nouwh?â
âEh?â
Soshiro's face inched closer to yours, peach tightly trapped in his mouth, as his eyes innocently locked onto yours.
Is he serious??
Your mind temporarily went into a lockdown, overstimulating by your boyfriend's sudden change of behavior.
Soshiro was already a lot to handle when he was joking around. In your monotone and serious life, he was the little dot of color that could brighten up your entire day. You already found it difficult to keep up your stoic demeanor when he was dead set on making you laugh but when he was trying to flirt, things took a whole different turn.
Your cheeks burned with fluster, his lascivious request crawling deep into the layers of your heart and making you uncomfortable.
As someone who has never ventured into this level of intimacy, his straightforwardness brought forth feelings unknown to your body and mind.
The unknown scared you, yet at the same time, you wished to thoroughly explore it all. Together with him. It was a discomfort that you welcomed and hoped to one day concour.
âDon't be ridiculous.â You gently shoved his face away from you as you rolled your eyes.
âMy flavor theory doesn't work like that.â Your words connected to your previously spoken statement.
Lips slightly parted, you thought of something else to add to your explanation, but you found yourself ambushed by two fingers gently, which gently guided your face back towards his.
Soft, wet lips pushed themselves against yours, capturing you in a warm kiss. You felt yourself completely melt into him in an instantâ your body recognizing the familiar warmth. The way his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you even closer, it added a lewd sensation to the kiss.
When Soshiro kissed you it either made you feel loved and cared for or desired and hot. His lips caressed you in a way that made you feel like the peach. Although you sat seated on the ground, your body almost fell over him with how strong he was pulling you in.
Only when the both of you had to come up for air, did he let go of you. An intense taste of peaches now sat on your lips. But it also somehow tasted like him.
Soshiro only smiled when he saw the breathless look on your face. He was acting as if he didn't almost devour you whole. The audacity of this man. His hands reached for another peach slice, causing your eyes to wander along once again.
âWanna give it another try? Maybe you'll change your mind this time.â His lips tugged into that infamous smirk of his.
You ended up eating the peach. Its taste did not peak your interest, but it did leave a lascivious aftertaste in your mouth.

a/n: it's been a while :0 how's everyone doing??

My Secret One Night Stand
Vice Captain Hoshina x Officer Reader
You know, it's nice to try to live out your life before you die while the world wouldn't last when you're surrounded by kaijus so what better way to have your first one night stand with a random hot guy at a bar before getting enlisted to the division force right? It doesn't mean anything since we'll never see each other again now that I'm enlisting my life away, so what's wrong with that?
You know what else?
I never knew the guy that I had met at the bar last night.
The guy that I had a one night stand with
WAS THE VICE CAPTAIN OF A HIGH RANKING OFFICIAL IN THE THIRD DIVISION FORCE!!!
As soon as I saw him introduce himself, I started to panic on the inside, thinking, "What the hell did I get myself into?!" Memories started flooding in my mind from that night.
I went out to have some drinks with some friends that night at the bar. While I was waiting for them to come back to bring more drinks, I noticed him far across from our table, and oh my god, was he that attractive. He was wearing a dark blue dress shirt, some black dress pants and his hair was parted to the side.
My friends came back and saw who I was looking at and were getting excited.
âOoh Y/n! That guy is definitely eyeing on you!â, says one of the girls.
He was heading over here and when he stopped by me, he asked my friends if he could steal me away and next thing you know, my naked body is pinned by him on his bed, clothes being discarded all over his place.
âCall me Soshiro darlinâ, he says as he positions himself. My breath hitched as my body was captivated by the sound of his voice, the way his hands moved over with such intent.
âAhh Soshiro,â I moaned while my legs were wrapped around his waist.
âGosh you're taking me so well darlin â, he starts to rock into you slowly and deep while giving you neck kisses. My mind was clouded by the pleasure he's giving me.
âFuck I'm gonna make you all mine tonight,â he starts to pick up the pace to the point I'm screaming his name throughout the entire night.
After waking up and seeing that Soshiro wasn't in bed and nowhere to be seen, I got dressed really quick and left. I'm guessing he just doesn't want anything after this, so I'll do him a favor. Ever since then I never heard anything from him, so now here I am, seeing that this man right here is a kaiju slayer and a respected vice captain of the division force.. I actually had sex with my soon to be vice captain.
I look down at my foot, trying not to look at him, hoping that he won't recognize me at all. (You're so funny y/n OF COURSE HE FUCKING RECOGNIZES YOU)
As soon as he sees you, his scarlett eyes open up a bit wide but then narrowed with a hint of smirk. I look up and see that he's trying to make eye contact with me while talking about the next challenge, hoping that I won't run away.
After that gruesome training challenge, I decided to walk back and head to the showers when I felt a presence was following me. I turn around and see Sosh- I mean Vice Captain Hoshina standing a few feet away from me.
âY/N L/Nâ, he says.
âSirâ, I said looking up at him.
â I never knew we would come across each other againâ. He starts to walk a bit closer to me.
âLikewise sir â, I stare at the ground, embarrassed and proceed to start walking away. âIf you'll excuse m-â
âWait,â Hoshina says as he grabs my wrist.
I turn to look at him, confused as to why he is doing this.
âVice Captain, what are you-â, I said in panic, trying to let go from his grasp before anyone's around to see.
âIt's Soshiro to you ,â he says as he takes me to a dark corner where no one can see us.
âI don't understand why are you doing thisâ
âY/n, I've been meaning to talk with you all day but you've been avoiding meâ, he cuts the distance between us and gets close to me. I backed away only to be met with a wall so now it's just the two of us in a tiny corner.
âWhat's there to talk about?â, I said as I looked away from him, not wanting to look him in the eye. âThat we spent that night together as complete strangers and now, here we are as you being my superior while I'm being trained as an officer. This is just wrong and we could get in trouble if-â
Suddenly, I feel a touch on my chin, guiding me to look up, only being met with his scarlett eyes. His expression is soft with a smile on his face.
âI know this is awfully wrong and awkward for the both of us but I'm glad we came across each other again. I get a really good chance to know more about you.â
I look at him speechless as if he got me under his spell again. I can't lie, I wanted him so badly again that night but I know that wonât happen since after all, he's my superior now and I'm soon to be a third division officer to him so it's my duty to not let it happen. I'm sure working together soon won't lead to many problems, right?
Then later on as the officer graduation ceremony arrives for the third division force, Captain Mina Ashiro appoints you as an officer so as you're done shaking hands with the Captain and now it's Vice Captain Hoshina turn to shake his hand. As soon as you both shook hands, Soshiro quickly leaned in and whispered, âMeet me at my place tonight.â He slips his keys inside of my sleeves in such a quick matter of time before I proceed to leave the podium in such a blushing mess and go back to my spot with the other officers.
Holy shit, I'm really fucked.
Bonus!
As both of you start to reach your high with him having you pin over his wall, Soshiro says something that leads you to losing your mind and cum all over him.
âFuck, marry me Yn!â

Devotion
You weren't a graduate of a combat school, and you weren't from a family of swordsmen. You didn't have a clear understanding of what you wanted to achieve or who you wanted to be, but you knew one thing. At the age of seven, seeing a real katana for the first time in your life, you realized that you had to learn how to use it in the battle. This thought came to you absolutely suddenly, spreading through your consciousness like an obsessive song. Your consciousness kept telling you that this is it. This is your path. This is what you will wake up for day after day. Take the katana in your hands and learn, it said.
It was like a voice from your past life. You didn't believe in all these superstitions and mysticism, but the way the voice in your head had changed scared your childish soul. At first, you pushed these thoughts away, fearing them. It was as if they weren't yours, you didn't understand what this voice wanted from you. But then, in one of your dreams, you saw yourself. You recognized yourself indirectly from the outline of your face, because in your dream you were already an adult. The katana in your hand gleamed with a metallic light, and you were ready to fight, clearly protecting someone. Your stance betrayed tension and sensitivity to the enemy's actions. In front of you stood a kaiju, steam belching from its monstrous mouth. It was ready to attack. Through the dream, you felt fear and rage, unfamiliar feelings filling your childish consciousness. However, you were old enough to understand.
In your dream, you were ready to kill because someone hurt your loved one.
You woke up in a cold sweat and realized how defenseless you were. You were only a child, but the fear for your life â for the lives of your loved ones â overwhelmed you. You wanted to become stronger. You wanted to not to be afraid that at any moment your life could be destroyed, be it because of an unkind person or because of a kaiju.
Finally, you couldn't take it anymore.
Once you were ten, your mother, after much persuasion and tears of yours, finally allowed you to get your first katana. It was small, just right for your short stature at the time, and you began to learn. You moved intuitively, your body seemed to lead you, and your first blows to the wooden dummy your father had carved for you were⌠awkward. It was as if you were tasting the feel of the weapon in your hand. Your legs were stumbling, and your mother was very worried that you might get hurt or harm yourself, but seeing your tenacity and the fire in your eyes, she stepped back, letting you walk this path on your own.
When you were twelve, you were training again in the backyard of your house. Attack, attack, dodge. Your movements had become more confident after a few years, but you felt that it was not it. You felt that it was not enough. At that moment, a man of rather old age passed by your house. He stopped and lingered his gaze on you, watching as swing after swing of your katana cut through the air. He noticed the tenacity on your face with which you honed your skills. Everything about your technique was wrong, but even from the outside, your actions did not look like a simple game that you would soon get bored with. The man saw a real warrior in you, albeit so young. On his part, it was an irrational decision, because usually students came to him on their own, and he did not teach everyone. Moreover, he promised himself not to teach anyone else anymore, but something still clicked in him when he saw you, and he realised: this is it.
Then came long, persistent conversations with your parents â both from yours and his side. Your parents were obviously worried about you, because you were still a child and they did not want a man they barely knew to spend time with you. However, one day, while watching the man in action in a trial fight with you, they saw that he was not deceiving them. It was obvious to the naked eye that he was a swordsman with experience the length of his entire life. Your parents saw the determination in your eyes, saw how you were burning with this passion of yours, and they could only sigh heavily.
They gave in, and you found your first teacher.
Long weeks, months, years of training followed. You struggled to combine daily training with school, and it affected your condition with all-encompassing fatigue. However, even then, you did not give up. Your desire to become a warrior, despite all the obstacles, burned your soul from within, and you honed your sword swings time after time. Your hands were covered in painful dry calluses, but you did not particularly care about them. If this was the price for the skills and experience you received, then you were ready to be completely covered in calluses. Your teacher saw your growth with each passing day and how the spark of a sincere desire to protect those close to you did not fade within you. He was truly happy that at the end of his life he was able to raise such a capable fighter.
And then your teacher was killed by a kaiju.
The sticky fear of loss pressed you to the ground with its suffocating grip for the first time.
***
You understood perfectly well that in Defense Forces they had not fought with swords for a long time. There was a high probability that they would force you to change your weapon to a more modern, more effective one, but you did not want to think about it. You decided to prove to all your superiors by your own example that there are different ways to fight kaiju.
Your training did not stop for a day. The closer it was to the day of the entrance exams, the more time you spent in the backyard of your house. You used all the techniques that you had managed to learn and were ready to engage in battle with any opponent.
The entrance exam went... interestingly. You clearly felt a little superfluous in the ranks of talented examinees. Each of them was somehow connected either with Defense Forces, or with the army, or with providing the fighters with the necessary equipment. There was no need to even talk about Kikoru, it was clear that she approached the destruction of kaiju with all seriousness, driven by internal motives. Being surrounded by such a strong force made you nervous, but you tried hard not to let those thoughts take root in your mind. You knew why you were here, and you also knew that you had to pass the test no matter what.
The special uniform of Defense Forces clung to your skin. You had never felt so... strange. The suit perfectly followed the curves of your body, and it was much more comfortable to move in than in any other clothes. You instantly felt a surge of strength, a pleasant tension in your muscles in anticipation of the upcoming fight. Your chest filled with air: you breathed the way your teacher taught you, trying to collect your consciousness in one piece.
"27%" the screen showed your potential, and you clenched your teeth. 27 percent meant not admiration to you, but a burning pain of frustration. I am not strong enough? What difference did it make that the potential was high enough for an examinee if it did not bring you closer to your goal? What did you need to do to increase this percentage? For a couple of seconds, you lowered your head, trying to collect your thoughts. 27 percent only meant that your further training had to be even harder.
Already heading towards the exit, all examinees were given rifles and machine guns. You glanced at their intimidating appearance out of the corner of your eye. It certainly inspired some admiration, but you were not bribed by it. You shook your head and headed straight for the exit, passing the surprised looks of the other examinees.
"Examinee [Y/N]," the curators addressed you through the speakers in the walls. "You should take a firearm."
You looked straight into the eye of the video camera aimed at you. You frowned and tightened your grip on the katana stored in a sheath on your left side.
"My weapon is already with me," you said sharply and left the fortified room, rushing towards the training ground.
Just before the battlefield, your future vice-captain Hoshina hurried to instruct you on the further exam, but almost all of his words flew past your ears. Your eyes were wide open and your breathing seemed to have stopped completely.
You saw two blades hidden in sheaths behind his back.
A storm of thoughts and emotions flashed through your head. Was it really possible that the Defense Forces allowed their officers to use such a weapon? So you had a chance to join the ranks of the fighters and be able to protect not only your loved ones, but all people in general? You shook your head, trying to throw the distracting ideas out of your head. First, you had to pass the exam, and then you could dream about such a thing. However, the sight of vice-captain's blades certainly added confidence and determination to you.
And finally, the exam began.
Your father often cut up animal carcasses by hand in front of you, so you knew the fastest ways to get to the right "piece". Studying books about kaiju all these years, you knew some of their types and their anatomy very well. You could call it real luck that the ones you had read about recently came across during the selection tests. With a few movements, you ripped open the belly of your first kaiju, getting to the core. Your heartbeat pounded in your ears, drowning out almost all other sounds, and you hurried to your next destination.
Of course, your common rival in this test was Kikoru. She was admired by everyone for her strength, which helped her to break through, but you did not feel envy. You only looked in amazement at her fast and precise attacks, at the shots that hit the target precisely. It was a mesmerizing sight, which only further inspired you to show your own, unique strength. In order to speed up the exam, you decided to work together with the others. Ripping open the peritoneums one by one, you opened access to the cores for the other examinees, and hurried to retreat so that the wounded kaiju could be dealt with decisive blows.
Soshiro could not take his eyes off your attacks.
"Vice-captain," Okonogi hastened to call out to him, tearing him out of his thoughtful state. He seemed to wake up, turning his gaze to her. "Please do not be distracted. You and Captain Ashiro will then choose who to accept into the ranks of the fighters."
The exam, as expected, ended in force majeure. You hurried to take the examinees who were more exhausted than the others to shelter. Your body ached significantly, ached like never before. Your hands were falling off from the pain, but you continued to steadfastly hold your weapon at the ready until you reached shelter. Only then, having made sure that most of examinees returned unharmed, you finally exhaled.
Now you could wait for the results.
***
It had been several months since you were accepted into the Third Division of Defense Forces. Since then, you hadn't stopped training for a day, rehearsing your moves over and over, imagining how deep you needed to cut into certain kaiju. After training together with other rookies, you purposefully sought out empty training halls just to practice more. And more. And more. To the point where you could no longer move your arms.
One such evening, memories of years gone by added fuel to the fire of your soul, burning with a sincere goal. Now you were interested in more than just protecting your loved ones. You saw how many people suffered with each kaiju attack, and you wanted to at least slightly lessen their suffering. You made another swing of the katana, cutting through the air.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And again, inhaling, expanding your lungs and providing a flow of oxygen to all parts of your body. You felt how your muscles began to work in unison. Your palms clenched around the hilt of the katana, the swing precise and fast, almost unnoticeable from the side, and you delivered a precise blow to the training dummy.
The halves of it fell to the floor, and you thought wearily that you would have to build new dummies again so that the other rookies could also hone their close combat skills.
"Well done," a familiar voice broke the silence in the training hall, and you turned around. Soshiro was standing in the doorway, leaning his shoulder against the wall and crossing his arms over his chest. His gaze betrayed interest and approval, and something else. You didn't think about it too much.
"Vice-captain," you breathed out and smiled slightly. His presence always made you genuinely happy, and it wasn't just because you respected his combat skills. Vice-captain always knew how to defuse even the most difficult and serious situations, and his cheerful smile, although sometimes a little fake, still made you happy. "Your fighting technique is getting better even without a mentor right now," Soshiro came a little closer, examining the dummy you had cut. The cut was clean, made with a sharp movement that left no burrs. "Your body really knows where and how to improve your movements. It's amazing."
You smiled and looked down at the floor. You knew from the start that your own body had been guiding you along this path, and you were grateful for where it had ultimately led you.
"Perhaps I really was a swordsman in my past life," you joked, and Soshiro smiled sincerely in response.
"However, I'm not here just to praise you," Soshiro walked around you, carefully examining your body. He was most interested in your legs, particularly your knees. You shuddered slightly under such close attention and tensed, feeling the approaching criticism. "I respect your previous teacher and I don't plan to change your technique drastically," Soshiro assured you, and your muscles seemed to relax from his confident but calm voice. "However, I see significant flaws in your stance that prevent you from moving even faster. If you don't mind, I would like to work on these details."
You exhaled in surprise. You had noticed many times that Soshiro paid special attention to your training. Even if it was only an extra couple of minutes compared to other rookies, you felt this special attitude and really hoped that it was not a sign of favoritism. Although you immediately threw this thought out of your head. Soshiro always made it clear that for him, all rookies were equally strong.
"Why?" you asked directly. You were never particularly shy and were used to expressing your thoughts as they were. Soshiro was taken aback for a second, and the next moment his face lit up with an even more determined smile.
"In all of the Defense Forces, I only know a few people who prefer classic weapons, besides my older brother of course. This draws extra attention to us and increases the demands on us as fighters," Soshiro said thoughtfully. Indeed, other than Soshiro, you hadn't seen a single fighter using blades so far. You were probably yet to meet the others, and by that point you wanted to be as strong as possible.
Soshiro circled around you once more, finally stopping in front of you. "We have to show more and more positive results on the battlefield each time. And I'm worried that at some point the pressure of that on you will become too big. I want you to be fully prepared by that time."
You couldnât move. You felt⌠different things. Deep gratitude to Soshiro for his attention to you, fear of what awaited you as a fighter, and a strange, indescribable excitement that felt like a tight knot in your stomach. Soshiro noticed the complex palette of emotions on your face and placed a hand on your shoulder in a reassuring gesture.
âEven more, I think we can learn something from each other,â he said with confidence, and your breath caught for a second. Despite the difference in rank, Soshiro saw you as his equal.
âGot it, vice-captain,â you nodded in understanding.
âAnd besides,â Soshiro continued with a more sly smile on his face that made you swallow nervously. âI want to see how far ahead of me you can get.â
You raised an eyebrow. The vice-captain was actually asking you to compete?
Soshiro continued, still smiling slyly. "Even my small adjustments to your technique will not take away the individual style that has earned you a place among us. I want to see if a semi-self-taught person can surpass the Hoshina family's fighting system."
Soshiro was clearly serious, and the thought of competing was giving you a strange, unfamiliar feeling. You just wanted to fight kaiju and help people, but Soshiro seemed to be looking deeper into your nature, digging up and pulling out feelings that you had suppressed over years of training. You smiled and extended your hand in an inviting handshake.
"Deal then," you said, and Soshiro extended his hand back, sealing the deal. It ignited a spark of excitement in you. It was one thing to just practice and hone your skills, but it was quite another to be challenged by the vice-captain himself. You understood that he himself was not going to stand still, and every day made him stronger, and now you had no right to lag behind.
***
Since then, your individual training sessions began.
Soshiro was fast. He easily parried your attacks and did not hesitate to go on the counterattack, forcing you to work harder on your defense skills. He also did not hesitate to go behind you and time after time correct your stance, forcing you to squat deeper, make your own movements smoother, but at the same time faster. The ringing of crossed swords filled the training hall every evening, and at one point you stopped understanding where the training was, and where it was just a friendly fight to test each other's strength. During all this time, you managed to remember the main techniques that Soshiro used, it was his familyâs style that impressed and scared you at the same time. But you still began to parry them more actively, going on the attack more than on defense, and this ignited a spark of excitement in Soshiro himself.
In addition to training, you two began to spend more time together. Each of your days was accompanied by casual conversations, talks about new films that had come out, and jokes that only the two of you understood. Outside of work, you would go window shopping together, browsing the desserts Soshiro absolutely adored, and you were also regular visitors at the cat cafe that was closest to the Defense Forcesâ base. You got along so well that the other rookies were wary of your tandem; two strong swordsmen could clearly give any other fighter a run for their money. However, you knew perfectly well that while you were at the base, you had to maintain subordination so as not to disrupt the usual routine. No matter how close you were to Soshiro, you would never cross that line, knowing full well how much any wrong move could affect your careers.
But in any case, with each passing day you were becoming closer to each other. An incomprehensible, new feeling overcame you every time you saw Soshiro, and you were afraid to even think about what this accelerated heartbeat and ragged breathing meant. However, you understood from the very beginning that one day this had to happen. The connection that began with blind admiration and then grew into friendship would sooner or later turn into something else. Something that was both painful and pleasant to think about. You understood that under any other circumstances, your love for Soshiro could be regarded as a breach of subordination, and in that case you would immediately throw all your feelings into the trash, leaving your relationship strictly professional. However, now that you were friends, there lived in you a weak, but still hope that your feelings could be mutual.
Another evening training session didn't go as planned from the start. First, you missed a few blows that were quite predictable, then you dropped the katana from your hands, and then you missed with your blow that Soshiro didn't even have to block it.
"Vice-captain," you said, slightly crouched and breathing heavily. You held the katana in your hand, ready for another attack, but Soshiro was in no hurry to attack you, seeing that you were already exhausted. Something about your appearance gave away your exhaustion, and he saw it. "I need a minute, and then we can continue."
"Of course, but first," he came closer and crouched down, looking worriedly into your eyes. "You will tell me what is wrong with you."
You were taken aback. Of course, there was no reason for Soshiro to know about your feelings. And you yourself would not allow your feelings to interfere with the course of your training, much less the course of a real fight. The reason for your discomfort was hidden in something else, but under such a piercing gaze of Soshiro, you were ready to reveal all your secrets.
"When was the last time you ate?" Soshiro asked, examining your face. You were paler than usual, and you clearly did not have enough energy for a full-fledged training. Oops, you thought. Soshiro, no doubt, learned to read you like an open book.
"Yesterday evening," you said sheepishly, perfectly knowing what would follow the next second. "Vice-captain, I-"
"First of all, we agreed that in private I am just Soshiro to you," he began with all the severity in his voice. "And secondly, are you crazy? You had three training sessions today, including this one. Do you have any idea how much you are depleting your body's reserves? What if you had to go into battle today?â
You closed your eyes, smiling. Soshiro was really attentive to the state of his subordinates, and it warmed your heart to know that he paid special attention to you, as his friend.
"Sorry, Soshiro," you said, still smiling, which Soshiro was taken aback by. So he was scolding you, and you liked it? "I promise I'll eat as soon as our training is over."
"In that case, consider itâs over," Soshiro chuckled, standing up and offering you his hand. You leaned on it, also getting up from the floor and swaying slightly. You really needed to eat. "And we'll go to the cafeteria right now. No objections."
"Yes, sir," you said playfully. Despite your general weakness, you were in a very good mood.
You headed to the cafeteria together. Then you finally felt the taste of food in your mouth, and only now did you realize how hungry you had been all this time. Soshiro noticed it on your face.
"Don't starve yourself," Soshiro said worriedly and shook his head. "You do realize that this is only pushing you further away from your goal, right?"
"I know," you nodded, chewing vigorously. "It's just... I haven't felt like eating lately."
"And why is that?" Soshiro asked, resting his chin on his palm and looking straight into your eyes.
You knew exactly why. Every night, you replayed the same dream you had as a child in your head. Now that you were a part of the Defense Forces, it no longer seemed strange and unreal to you. The kaiju standing in front of you in that dream seemed more and more real with each passing night. The danger was breathing in your face, and you could only tighten your grip on the katana in your hand. You couldn't afford to retreat.
"The more people I meet on my way," you began, looking distantly at the patterns on the tablecloth. "The more afraid I am of losing each of them."
Soshiro nodded understandingly and touched your palm, squeezing it in a supportive gesture.
"Thoughts about it are scary, but don't let them take over your consciousness. Otherwise, when the time comes to protect your loved ones, you won't have the strength to take a step forward."
You looked into Soshiro's eyes and saw all-encompassing care and concern in them, and you realized that he was right. You promised yourself that, despite any danger, you would not give in to it.
After all, for the sake of at least one person, you were ready to sacrifice even your life.
***
Another battle with a kaiju turned out to be completely different from what you expected.
At first it seemed like a fairly easy mission. All the kaiju were quite slow, and killing them was complicated only by their super-strong armor. However, compared to the dangers you had already encountered, this was not such a big problem, especially for a whole group of skilled fighters.
But then you found yourself cut off from each other by a number of large kaiju, whose cores were located deep under the plexus of muscles and tendons. Their too massive muscle mass did not allow you to easily reach the right place, and even combining your own attacks with subsequent, stronger and more accurate attacks from Kikoru and Ichikawa, you still could not break through to the core. Kafka, as luck would have it, was busy on the other side of the battlefield, so for the time being you had to hold back the attacks of this kaiju on your own. Captain Ashiro was still on her way, and you needed to delay the kaiju as much as possible and not let it break through further into the city.
It seemed that your brain worked in a way it never did before. Together with Soshiro, you tried to cut as deep into the kaiju's flesh as possible, allowing the other fighters to strike directly into it, but its wounds were healing too quickly. Moreover, the kaiju relentlessly attacked you when you tried to get closer to it. Soshiro realized that the kaiju's most accessible weak spot at the moment was its dozens of eyes. Without saying a word and despite the pain from his broken ribs, he rushed straight to the kaiju's muzzle, soaring upward as if he weighed nothing. However, the monster's reaction was even faster, and Soshiro instantly found himself buried under the attack of a powerful paw.
Now you understood what your childhood dream was about.
Your mouth opened involuntarily in horror, and you quickly covered it with your hand. The grip on the katana tightened, and you clenched your teeth. Rage filled your body, and you felt your whole body screaming: fight.
Your heart was beating so fast it felt like it was about to jump out of your chest. Jumping in front of Soshiro and blocking him from further attacks, you tried to parry the kaiju's movements. Your gaze was fixed straight ahead, and without any distraction, you slashed kaiju's flesh again and again. Again and again. Again and again, with a fury that consumed your entire being, until finally the tatters of muscle hung down in a formless form.
You saw the core.
Ichikawa hurried to freeze the cut flesh with freezing shells, and Kikoru took advantage of the moment, delivering a precise and sharp blow to the core. The kaiju let out a final roar and fell from all its height onto the ground below it.
It became unbearably quiet around you, and only the settling concrete dust rustled in the air.
You could not see anything in front of you, except for one person. You rushed over to Soshiro, checking his pulse. Alive, you breathed out.
"Hey, don't you dare to think that I can be killed so easily," Soshiro tried to joke, but the pain in his chest and the obvious internal bleeding did not allow him to enjoy the moment. It seemed that for the first time in your life, you showed what you were truly capable of, even if it was due to your rage.
"Vice-captain, be quiet," you said. His suit was damaged near his leg, from which blood was now streaming. You unbuttoned your own suit and hurried to cut off a piece of the t-shirt you were wearing under it. You needed a tourniquet, and you found one, despite the surprised looks of your comrades. After bandaging Soshiro's leg to stop the bleeding, you finally breathed out in relief.
In the distance, the fighting seemed to have died down as well.
***
"Shouldn't you be training at the base or something?" Soshiro smiled and winced slightly. With the permission of the medical staff, you were helping him change the bandages on the injured parts of his body. The nurses were busy with civilian casualties, among other things, and their strength and time were not enough for everyone, so your help came in handy. Moreover, you yourself were glad to spend some time alone with Soshiro.
"Captain Ashiro asked me to visit you, so I am free from training for today," you smiled. You suspected that Captain Ashiro had a reason for choosing you as a visitor, considering the sly little squint she always had when she watched you and Soshiro. She must be shipping us, you thought jokingly, but then your gaze became serious again. Mina really knew how close you were with Soshiro. She probably wanted to calm your inner worries, because no matter how hard you tried to hide it, they were more than noticeable during training and beyond.
"I see," Soshiro smiled, and his smile was the most precious thing you had. "You know, you shouldn't have rushed into battle so thoughtlessly back then. That kaiju was stronger than the usual ones."
"I noticed," you nodded thoughtfully. You knew that the kaiju were getting stronger each time, and it scared you. "But I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you."
"And if I gave the order to retreat, would you obey?" Soshiro smiled, looking into your face with genuine interest. You smirked.
"As an officer of the Defense Forces, I strictly follow all orders," you playfully said, finishing bandaging Soshiro's hand.
"What if we take the regular you, not the officer one?" Soshiro moved closer, and you felt his breath on your cheek for a moment.
"I won't answer that question," you shook your head, knowing full well that no matter what situation you were in or how much pain you were in, you wouldn't disobey Soshiro's orders. "However, I would do anything within the order to ensure your safety, Soshiro. You can always rely on me."
"I know," he nodded and leaned back tiredly on the medical bed. The next moment, you felt a warm palm cover your own. "I sometimes feel ashamed for making you worry about me so much."
"It's natural, because I-" you trailed off. Now was not the best time to confess your feelings, and this was not how you wanted to do it. Soshiro, however, did not ask you to repeat it. He just smiled knowingly, as if he had figured out the tangle of your emotions.
"I know and I reciprocate your feelings with my whole heart," he said with a satisfied face, and your heart was close to stopping. Soshiro, still holding your palm in his, gently stroked it with his thumb, and this small, but such a gentle touch said everything to you better than any words. From the excess of emotions and experiences over the past few days, tears flowed down your cheeks, and Soshiro immediately jumped up from his seat, smiling. "Ah! Sorry, just didnât want to run away from that conversation anymore. Didnât think it would make you sad."
"Donât get the wrong idea, itâs okay," you reassured, smiling and wiping away tears. "I'm just... happy. And I'm really glad that you're alive, Soshiro."
Your eyes met again, and you couldnât stop looking at Soshiroâs familiar face, to which he smiled like a contented cat.
âStill, Iâm not used to the fact that such beauties save my life,â Soshiro said nonchalantly, looking you straight in the eyes. âI can get used to this.â
âNo way. Werenât you the one who suggested that we compete in strength, huh?â you smiled sarcastically. âArenât you afraid that I will steal your first place?â
Soshiro only smiled tenderly again and ran his hand over your cheek, wiping away the remaining tears.
âConsidering that youâve already stole my heart, I have nothing more to fear.â
Your face flushed the second you heard these words. You groaned and tried to hide your face.
âYouâre unbearable.â
âAnd you love me for that, donât you?â
You couldnât believe your happiness. With a soft, loving smile, you leaned closer to Soshiro. A second before your lips touched his, you whisperedâŚ
â⌠I do.â

hey axia ・â ââ âżâ ââ ・
enjoy the start of your semester, before uni gets crazy!! I loved your previous works, so I'll just slip into your inbox while the requests are open:3
What do you think would make Hoshina blush, or like, properly flustered?!
(be it headcanon, scenario, or whatever else you feel like, if anything:))
have a great day đ
Heart in Your Hands
hoshina soshiro x reader â fluff, comfort, they're both deeply in love, (god me when), short and sweet, established relationship
Author's Reply: Hi, thank you anon! I hope this work caters well to your request; finally got the time to work on something (which hopefully helps with my writer's block)
Reblogs and likes are appreciated! Please view my pinned and masterlist too (â âĄâ  â Ďâ  â âĄâ )
Trying to get Soshiro to blush is definitely rarer than a blue moon. Trust me, even his own platoon of talented rookies tried catching him off-guard â it's just near impossible!
Keyword: Near impossible. That's where you enter the picture.
As a Platoon Leader, you do your best to be a figure of inspiration to your officers, thus keeping up your facade of a strict mentor; but honestlyâyouâre not fooling anyone, you're totally a softie! Despite your personal âno-distractions-during-workâ policy, obvious signs of your feelings for the Vice Captain naturally slip out occasionally. Still, you refuse to get your relationship in the way of your work.
Behind closed doors lie the reserved intimacy and affection you held for him. He won't ever admit it, but he sometimes pushes himself too hard, hard enough to have scars and calluses all over his hands from his intense training, and you can only imagine how tight and desperate his grip is on his personalized close combat weapon.
Heâs always desperate to prove his worth, desperate to keep the only thing that gives meaning to his existence, and you know that your words are not enough to quell the distress behind each swing and slash of his blades.
That's why you do what you know will calm him bestâlove him just as fierce as he swings those blades of his.
You caught him training again one night, exhaustion evident on his form. The adrenaline coursing through his body has yet to be quenched, and you know you have to do your magic to get him to rest.
âSoshiro. You're here again. One more night of this and youâll really strain your body.â you softly said, concern evident in your voice.
He stopped midway his slash, breath heaving as he turned to face you. Can't rest easy when the rookie officers are a whole ânother level, dear. If I don't do this, I doubt Iâll be able to get even the slightest hit on No. 9.â
Sighing, you made your way to him. âPut your weapon down for a while, please? Let me at least do something for you.â
Doing as you asked, he kept them somewhere safe and curiously stood in front of you again. He gave you an inquisitive look, patiently waiting for what you're planning to do.
You took his hands and caressed them, slowly feeling the roughness and evidence of all the nights he's spent bruising himself up just to get even stronger. You move his hands so that his palms are facing you, his eyes widening at your next move.
He felt a soft, careful kiss touch each of his palms, followed by a kiss to each of his fingertips.
He thinks his ears are on fire with how hot it's burning.
âW-what are ya doing, dear? I haven't cleaned my hands up!â
You entwined your hands with his before he could even pull them away, thinking that he didn't like what you just did. âIâm sorry, did I make you uncomfâ Oh.â
Oh, indeed. The sight that greeted you when you turned your face up to see him is⌠remarkable. You can't believe the Third Divisionâs Vice Captain would be blushing over his significant other tenderly kissing his rough, tired hands.
âYa didn't have to do that⌠I know you love me plenty! And please stop gripping on my hands harder, ya aren't letting me turn away!â
You snort. âOf course I won't let you. This is a rare sight. Still, I didn't know something like that could get you severely flustered.â you said, a hint of pride in your tone.
âTold ya I haven't cleaned âem up. I was holdinâ those nasty blades moments ago.â
âAh, excuses. Just say you liked the kisses more than you expected. Iâll let you off this one time and say it's just out of exhaustion.â you giggled.
Your expression turned soft and serious again, now hugging him. His arms wrapped around you, a tired sigh coming from him. âYou do so much for me, ya know that? I thought I was gonna explode earlier. Don't know what I did to deserve ya.â
âMhm, âShiro. You have no idea how at a loss I am sometimes to do something for you. I want to shoulder at least a piece of your burden, want you to share your pain with me without worrying about whether I can take it. Because I will, just for you. Iâll hold your hand whatever happens and stand side by side with you. All I ask is that you take care of yourself.â
He let out a soft laugh of relief. âI should be sayinâ these things to you. I hope ya know how amazing you are to me.â
You both pulled away from the hug, him taking a hand of yours in his. âLet's get some rest. Don't wanna worry my princess over here.â
Smiling in content, you nod your head at him. âThank you, Soshiro.â

omg, this is so good đđđđbeing an archer myself makes me feel happy when I read anything about kyudo or archery, especially with my husband Hoshina đ đ đ â¤ď¸ đ âşď¸ I am giggling when I read this
Hi, hi! First thing first, im in love with your hoshina x designer weapon reader! It's really warm my heart!! (I LOVE IT TO THE CORE HEHBFJSHDHCđđŤśđŤśđŤś BLESS U)
Can i request you (this is kinda awkward) i want to see Highschool AU! For Hoshina x Reader. Kendo player! Hoshina x Archer! Readerđđ i would love to see them bantering each other (of if it's not Highschool AU! You can use the close range user! Bf x long range user! Gf thing!)
Thank you!
Ahhh my first request, how exciting! Sorry for posting so late. So many things have been happening lately. Also had to do some research and ended up watching tsurune LOL.
Here's a bunch of little stories of your life as Archer! Reader x Kendo! Hoshina.
Synopsis: The club captains of the kendo and the kyudo (archery) club don't seem to get along. Or rather, that's how the club members see it.
---------------------------
"Oi, what do ya think you're doing? The kendo club's got this gym booked for today."
Toppled on top of each, the members of the kendo club huddled nervously outside the door to their gym. They could only take small peaks and glances from their place as they were all too scared to step foot inside.
All except one.
The Captain of the Kendo team, Hoshina, was the only one who dared to enter the gym. Standing tall with his arms crossed, he gave you a menacing glare.
Rising from your kneeling position, you exhaled a tired breath and put your training bow down. "Oh, sorry, I didn't see your name on the registrar, so I presumed the gym was empty and booked it." Despite the courteous words, your apology dripped of insincerity and a smidge of condescension. "Had you actually done your job correctly, this could've been avoided."
The members of your own club shifted awkwardly. Exchanging knowing glances, they braced themselves to watch their Captain go at it once again with the rival club Captain.
Hoshina lets out a scoff as he rolled his eyes at your attitude. He ignored your comment and continued on with his interrogration. "What are ya even doing here, ya can't shoot in here. Why aren't you in the kyudo hall?"
"It's under repair, and kyudo isn't only about shooting. I gotta teach the newbies the correct form before they can even touch a bow." You stated before offering a fake smile. "Why don't you go build your stamina with some laps? It's not good to slack on basic fitness."
"Shouldn't I be saying that to you? When's the last time ya used your legs?"
After a brief moment, Hoshina flashed his own small smile, although there was nothing friendly behind it. He leaned down until his face was a mere couple inches from yours. He knew you hated the height difference. That you hated the fact that there was something he had over you. Going by the tiniest twitch in your perfectly crafted smile, he knew he was right.
"Hey, give me the room, and I'll play nice and let you watch us practice. Maybe then you'll learn something of actual worth." He suggested, feeling a deep satisfaction at the slight clench of your fist.
"I don't understand the need to swing a big sword. Overcompensating for something?"
"Ah, and I suppose hitting a massive target from far away is much more impressive."
"Oh my, if you think a target that's only thirty-six centimeters is massive, then I'm definitely worried for you."
"Are dick jokes the only jokes you can make? Are you a child?"
"Sorry, did I hit too close to home?"
A vein popped on his cheek. He could never really get a handle on your snake-like tongue.
Everyone felt the heavy tension and chill in the air. The first years had trouble believing that the two people squabbling like children were their beloved Captains.
You were known for your kindness and elegance. But you knew when to be soft and when to push harder. Where you went, people's eyes would follow whether consciously or not. You were the most talented kyudo archer the school has ever seen and an equally good captain.
Hoshina was among the top strongest kendo player in the division. Diligent. Attentive. Trustworthy. His laidback attitude attracted a lot of people, but when his serious nature slipped through during matchesâthat's when it was impossible to take your eyes off of him.
You two rarely crossed paths, but when you did, it was a blood bath. You two brought out the worst in each other. Or maybe you simply brought out each other's competitive streak.
All the members of their respective club could only pray for the day the two of you stop bickering.
---------------------------------
"I heard you guys passed the preliminaries," you said as you sat and watched him practice. It was late into the evening, and only the two of you were still in school. You had locked up the kyudo hall but saw how the lights were still on in the kendo dojo. Curiosity got the best of you, and you went to see who was still practicing.
"Congrats," you said quietly, barely audible to anyone around you.
"Oh, sorry, what was that? Awww, are ya congratulatin' me? I'm so honoured, oh, glorious captain." He jested back, pausing his activities against the training dummy. He stopped because he's had enough practice and shouldn't overexert himself. He definitely didn't stop because he wouldn't hear you against the sound of the strikes.
"Whatever, your opponents were shit anyways. It would've been harder for you to lose."
He lets out a low whistle at your words.
"Way to ruin the moment." He said, beginning to take off his armor. Placing his wooden sword at the stand, he peeled off his gloves.
Then, realization hit Hoshina, and he froze. The corner of his lip curled into a dangerous smirk as he turned to look at you.
"Wait, does that mean ya watched me compete?"
You flushed a pretty shade of pink and looked away from his amused eyes.
"Well, we're hosting the tournament this year, and I happened to pass by the dojo, so I just took a look."
"Right..." He chuckled. "Your preliminaries are tomorrow, right?"
You nod your head as you get up from your spot. The way you stretched your arms above your head reminded him of a cat.
"Yup, and we're gonna show you guys why we're number one in the division, unlike you guys who are only what again? Right, second."
"Hope you miss." He grunted in response. Though, despite the gruff words, Hoshina found that there wasn't actually any bite to his remarks nowadays. His once heated bitter words are now nothing more than poorly disguised teases.
At hearing your chuckle, he looked up at you, and his breath catches in his throat.
"Me? Miss?"
The look in your eyes was hypnotizing.
"Never."
---------------------------------------------------
Why others seemed to admire you was beyond Hoshina's understanding. You were immature, vain, cocky, rude, and knew exactly which buttons to push to annoy him. If people saw the side of you he got to see, they would run for the hills.
Walking from the main school building to the dojo, he heard the faint but recognizable sound of the kyudo bow releasing an arrow.
Ah, that's right. You should be playing right now.
He stopped in his place as he looked to the direction of the sound. He had to pass the kyudo hall anyway to get to the dojo, is what he told himself before he changed course to take the longer route to the dojo.
There was a crowd gathered around the hall by the time he made it there. Not wanting to be seen, he kept to the edges of the crowd but still in a good enough spot that he had a good view of the archers.
Hoshina thinks to himself that he'll only stay to watch your first shot as he watched you ceremoniously kneel with your bow and arrow.
However, he found himself stuck in his place as he watched your elegant and meticulous gestures. Like a moth to a flame, he couldn't tear his eyes away from your figure as you drew your bow. He didn't know much about kyudo, but he couldn't help but think that your draw was beautiful.
Everything about you screamed confidence and assurance. With the twang of the bow string, the arrow released and hit dead centre of the target.
Like always.
By the time he realized he's stayed longer than he should've, you had fired 5 shots. Not a single arrow missed the target.
The cocky smile that bloomed on your face as you lowered the bow and admired your work made his heart race.
Huh... so that's why so many people are head over heels for you.
He left before your team could celebrate the victory.
---------------------------------------------------
As the season continued, you two made it a habit to stay later than usual when practicing. Whoever would finish first would go to the other and watch or tell them to pack it up.
As captains in your last year, both of you needed to win your tournaments.
"Don't ya ever get tired? Or are the rumours true and you're actually a robot?" Hoshina said with his head resting in his bag as he sat and watched you.
"Only partly, actually," you quipped back before drawing another arrow. "One more shot."
"And how many times have ya said that?" He asked looking at your target filled with dozens of arrows. Unlike what he was used to seeing, a third of your shots were off target.
"Can't afford to miss. "
"Ya need to go home."
"No"
Hoshina rolled his eyes at your stubborness. "You think this is going to help ya? You're just burnin' yourself out."
Although you lowered your bow at that, your focus does not move away from your target. "We were one point away from not advancing to finals. I need to be perfect. My team is depending on me. I can't afford to drag my team down or disappoint them."
At one point in time, he'd have paid someone to bring you down a peg. Now, however, his heart twisted at seeing you doubting yourself.
"Listen, I know the pressure better than anyone else. This tournament is important to me too. But ya just need to have faith in the skills that you've built up over these years. You've earned the title of best kyudo player for a reason." He sat up straighter when you finally turned to look at him. Rubbing the back of his neck, he continued, "also, have faith in your team. They've worked hard and don't want to disappoint you either. Don't forget you're in a team, afterall."
You stared at him for a moment before giggling. Your giggle turned into a full-blown laugh at his pout.
"Now why's that so funny?"
"No, no," you managed to say as you try to collect your composure. "I just never imagined getting a pep talk from my arch nemesis."
A smile replaced Hoshina's pout. "I'm your arch nemesis?"
"Aren't I yours?" You jested back as you began putting away your equipment.
Were you? Arch nemesis wouldn't be the words he'd use to describe you. He didn't quite like the idea of you only being a rival to him.
His on the other hand. Now, that didn't sound too bad.
With your back turned to him, he called out to you, making you turn to him.
"Here."
You caught whatever he threw at you before it could hit you. Sitting in your palm was a key chain with a cat shaped charm, and beside it, an omamori charm with the embroidery "victory."
"Hasn't really been working on me, so you might as well try it," he said, looking rather bashful.
You let out another laugh at his actions. "Can't be owing you, here's mine," you said amused, removing the charm that hung on your bag and tossing it to him.
"It might give you my luck, but I doubt it'll be able to give you my amazing skills. So don't put too much pressure on it."
The charm was of a heart with an arrow through it and a wooden good-luck charm with the engraving "grind them to dust."
"How fitting," hoshina said outloud as he held the charm in his palm.
"Oh yea," you chuckled. "The statement is quite aggressive, but I thought it was funny"
"Hmmm? Oh yea, that too." Before you could even think twice about his statement, he closed his palm around the charm and gave you a determined look.
"Let's win this."
You couldn't help but smile. "That goes without saying."
---------------------------------------------------
Bonus:
"Hey, isn't that Hoshina's charm?" One of your club members asked curiously as they stretched on the ground. Although the rest of the members pretended they weren't listening in, they were dying to know why you had it. They were able to spot it right away when they saw it on your school bag. It was the charm that Hoshina kept on his bag for all the years they've known him. They also couldn't forget how the Kendo members were forced to stay after school to search for the charm when he lost it.
"Yeah," you responded matter of factly as you stood and watched them.
"Why? I thought you two hated each other?"
"Now, who ever told you that?" You responded slyly.
Their mouths hung open at your statement. Were you gaslighting them? Or were you just pretending you didn't pick a fight with Hoshina every chance you got.
"Oi, y/n hurry up. I'm hungry"
At the voice, they all snapped their heads to look at the owner of the charm himself. Leaning against the doorframe, he was in his school uniform with his bag tucked under his arm.
"Yea, yea, coming old man, don't be so pushy," you said, making your way towards him. When he turned to head out, the members saw your unforgettable charm hanging from his bag.
"You buying lunch this time or is it my turn?" They heard you say as the both of you walked by the window of the gym.
"Don't remember. Let's just say it's my turn. " Hoshina responded with what they think is a smile.
"What the fuck just happened."

I dare you to make emotionaless Freader X Hoshina Soshiro đđ
The sun: Soshiro Hoshina
AHH! Thank you for this request, I LOVE this trope so much. I have been waiting to do this one, because I wasnât sure have to start it (also procrastinating)Â
Summary: Emotionless Female Reader and Sunshine Soshiro Hoshina.Â
Wc: 600
The sun, also known as Soshiro Hoshina.Â
Soshiro Hoshina was a burst of sunshine in a world that often felt cold to you. Loud, cheerful, and affectionate, he seemed determined to break your ice facade by showering you with affection, even though you weren't officially dating... yet.
"(Name)-chan! (Name)-chan, Hii!" Soshiro would greet you with a grin, always appearing with some surprise in handâa gesture of his overflowing affection. Since you became a platoon leader in the third division a few months back, he had latched onto you like glue. Despite your stoic demeanor, you didn't mind his company.
What first drew him to you was your assertiveness, the way you commanded respect while occasionally letting your sharp tongue loose on the battlefield. You saluted him when he approached, your face set in its usual unreadable expression.
"Is something the matter, sir?" you asked, a hint of curiosity softening your tone.
"Nothing~ Just got ya something!" He handed over a container of cinnamon rolls with a shy flush creeping up his cheeks. "You said you liked sweets," he added, his gaze fixed on you.
You accepted the gift with a nod and a polite thank you. "I'm surprised you paid attention. Thank you, sir."
This kind of thing happened oftenâhim surprising you with hugs from behind (a hug bug, as you called him), holding your hand, or pinching your cheeks (especially if your face is chubby) . He'd boop your nose affectionately or bring you small gifts, all while you rarely reciprocated.
The one time you did, it left him rivaling a ripe tomato. (Currently he is more used to your touch) It was late, and you found him training as usual. Leaning against the doorway, you remarked, "Still training this late, Vice-captain?"
"(Name)-chan~!! Shouldnât ya be sleeping? It's really late, come on, Iâll walk ya to your room." His face lit up when he saw you, and he forgot his tiredness momentarily.Â
As he came closer to hug you, you surprised him by leaning in and kissing his forehead gently. His reaction was pricelessâeyes wide with shock, cheeks turning redder than ever.
"Wha-what why who-would you do that?!" he stammered, touching the spot where your lips had just brushed.
With your usual icy facade intact, you replied softly, "Darlinâ, please go to sleep. Itâs like three am."
"Darling?!" he echoed in surprise, his whole face now crimson.
Taking his wrist in your hand, you led him towards his room. "Uh... um, goodnight," he managed to say, trying to hide his flustered face.
But you surprised him again, pulling him into another kissâthis time on the lips. His initial shock melted into a moment of tender connection, he leaned into the kiss, though after a few minutes, he gently pulled away, blushing furiously.
"S-stop..." He opened his bedroom door, clearly embarrassed but leaving it slightly ajar.Â
âHoney, Arenât ya coming inside?â He asked, his voice peaking in curiosity.Â
Taking the cue, you stepped inside and closed the door behind you. In the privacy of his room, the usually boisterous Soshiro seemed surprisingly shy under your touch.
From that night on, while you may not have shown it openly, your ice- facade started to melt at the sight of the sun.Â
Soshiro Hoshina.

AFTERCARE
âsoshiro hoshina x fem! reader
â¤Implications of sex, mentions of bondage, established relationship, mentions of nudity. â¤No, I won't be writing the smut for this. This came to me at two in the morning lmao, I just suddenly thought "I know this man would give the best damn aftercare."

â[NAME] WHINES SOFTLY as she lies on her shared bed with Soshiro, her bodyâexhausted, bruised, and bound by red ropes finally felt lightweight as Soshiro began to untie the knots, letting the ropes fall into the floor.
âWas I too rough on ya?â He asked, worry was present in his voice as he held her hands and kissed her bruised wrists. The softness and gentleness of his kiss against her skin sent tingles down her spine as she was reminded that this boy in front of her is hers.
[Name] shakes her head, Soshiro was rough but it was not enough to hurt her, in fact, Soshiro made sure to pay attention to her responses during the whole time they had sex. They both agreed that they don't like hurting the other during intimacy, they already experienced enough violence as soldiers.
âI didn't hurt ya, didn't I?â He asked, unconsciously clenching the girl's hand a little.
âNo, if you did. I would've said the safe word, Soshi.â She says softly with a smile on her face.
Soshiro smiles as soft chuckles escape his lips, closing his eyes as he brings her hands to his lips and kisses both of her knuckles, âI'm glad.â He whispered, his eyes opened to look at her, fondness and adoration present in those wine-red eyes of his.
âCome on, princess. I'll wash ya.â He grins as he gets out of bed, [Name] attempted to sit up but was gently nudged back down, âNuh, uh. I'll spoil my lady tonight.â He smirks and [Name] can only sigh with a soft smile on her face as Soshiro begins to gently carry her bridal style in his armsâeffortlessly, carrying her towards the bathroom.
âBut you always spoil me, Soshi?â
âAs what you deserved, mon ange.â He says with a grin as he places her on the bathroom counter while he prepares the bath.
Soon enough, the bathroom began to smell like lavender.
âHope ya didn't fall asleep waiting.â Soshiro grins as he walks back to [Name] who just gave him a lazy smile, âI almost did.â She says with a small chuckle.
She was once more carried into his arms bridal style then he lowered her into the warm bath, the scent of milk and lavender intensifying now that she's in the water itselfâbut she doesn't mind, it smelled nice.
She felt the water ripples as she felt Soshiro also get in the tubâsitting behind her.
She sighs softly, her eyes closed as she feels Soshiro's hands gently massage her shoulders and back.
âHey now, you're starting to doze off.â Soshiro muttered softly with a slight chuckle, [Name] hummed in response.
âCan you blame me? Your hands are magic, Soshi.â
Soshiro snorted at her words, shaking his head as his hands continued to squeeze [Name]'s aching muscles, âAlright, let's just get this quick so I can put you to bed.â He mutters softly and [Name] nodded, half asleep.
Eventually, both of them rinsed off the soap from their body and Soshiro wrapped a towel around his waist before wrapping [Name] with a towel too and carried her in his arms back to their room.
âLook at ya, ya look like a burrito.â Soshiro laughs, looking down at the girl who's currently in his arms wrapped tightly with a towel.
[Name] just groans underneath the towel, poking her head out of the fabric as she realizes that she has been placed down on to the bed, the soft mattress pressing against her back.
Her cheeks flushed as she remembers Soshiro's aftercare ritual, she decided to lower the lower half of her face to hide her growing blush.
Soshiro chuckles at her, adoration in those purple eyes of his.
âIs my angel embarrassed? Yer so cute hiding like that, mon ange.â She chuckles softly as he walks away from their bed and to their shared closet, opening the wooden door of the cabinet and rummaged through their clothes before pulling out a comfortable nightwear for the both of them.
He got dressed first, slipping on the satin purple pajamas on his body, grinning to himself as he can feel [Name] pouting at him, her stare burning on to his back.
Can you blame her though? [Name] admired how the muscles on Soshiro's back flexed as he moved to slip on the fabric into his body.
Soshiro slightly tilted his head to left to look at his woman through his shoulder with a grin on his cheeky face, âAdmiring the view?â He asked playfully and [Name] snorted behind him, âVery much so.â She replied.
It was Soshiro's turn to chuckle, clearly amused by the woman's antics, âThen why is my beloved pouting at me?â He asked, turning around to face the girl as he finally finished getting dressed for the night.
[Name] pouted at him, âWhy are you always the one getting dressed first?â She asked with a raised eyebrow.
He grins as he walks back to the bed, setting down the nightwear he picked for her on to the bedâa matching satin purple pajama that fits her perfectly.
âBecause I'm not done yet taking care of ya, mon ange.â He says with a grin before smirking at her, flashing his iconic canines at her, âOr, do I take that you don't like the aftercare I give ya?â He asked with a fake pout and [Name]'s eyes widened, tilting her head to the side in embarrassment.
âI do like it but ugh, it makes me shy and flustered, Soshi.â She says as she covers her face with her hands and Soshiro can only smile at her, gently holding [Name]'s hands and pulling them away before gently placing a hand underneath her chin and slowly turns her head to look at him.
[E/c] eyes to purple ones.
âHow about I make it shorter this time? Hmm?â He asked with a raised eyebrow and [Name] nodded slowly, still flustered, âPlease do.â She says softly and Soshiro closes his eyes as he grins at her.
âAs what my queen commands.â
Soshiro Hoshina is a gentle lover, during his rare off days, he would spend it with his girlfriend. Going on dates, cuddling, kissing, and even being intimate with her.
He likes to take time with her despite the possibility of being called back to duty in case of a Kaiju attack. He believes that his girl deserves to be worshipped.
Especially after being so rough on her during their steamy moments.
Soshiro gently held [Name]'s hand, bringing it to his face, pressing his lips against the palm of her handâkissing it gently before placing individual kisses to each of her fingers.
[Name] just closes her eyes, a hue of pink dusting her cheeks as she feels Soshiro's lips on her skin, his gentle kisses a contrast to the passionate and intense kisses they shared moments ago.
Soshiro's kisses slowly went up to her arms and towards her neck, pressing a light kiss on her throat before moving upwards to pepper her face with a multitude of kisses, pressing the second to the last kiss to her lips.
A long and yet, gentle kiss to her lips.
One arm supporting his weight while his other hand held her waist.
A kiss that the two don't seem to want to end.
They eventually pulled apart, eyes half-lidded as they stared at each other.
[Name] looks away shyly as Soshiro grins at her, âAnd for the last kiss...â He whispered, leaning down to press a kiss in between her breastsâwhere her heart was beating rapidly.
A kiss that signifies that Soshiro promised to take care of her heart for the rest of his life.
[Name] blushed deeply, looking down to see Soshiro looking up at her with half-lidded eyes, lips pressed against her skin.
Soshiro gently pulls away and grins at her, âLook at ya, yer so cute when ya blush.â He teases and [Name] pouts, âCan you blame me?â
Soshiro chuckles, âNo, I can't blame ya.â He says playfully before getting off her and grabbing the pajamas from the end side of the bed.
âAlright, let's get ya dressed up and we can sleep.â
[Name] eventually finished dressing up with Soshiro's help and the two fell asleep holding each other in each other's arms.

Operation Rescue Hoshina aka The Runaway Boyfriend
Inspired by ideas from @adaizel based off of a fic that I wrote where Hoshina tries to avoid reader by running off doing other missions with other divisions and the reader says she'll drag his ass back if she finds him doing it again. Thanks again for the ideas and the enthusiasm. Also this will be NSFW as fuck and this will be longer than my usual fics so buckle up!
When you find the office of the Vice Captain is empty yet again, his stupid chair swiveling like he just had the idea to up and run, you groan. Hoshina loved doing this to you. He loved picking a Division, any division at all, and running away to them under the guise of helping with their missions. He loved to see how long it would take you to find him and come running, yelling profanities at him. He thought it was sexy. And he loved to see just how far he could push you.
It was a little game the two of you would play, and sometimes you were amused and sometimes you weren't.
Today you weren't. You were supposed to be having a meeting with him to talk about new training protocols for the Third Division and here he was fucking around god knows where on a random ass Tuesday, knowing damn well he has loads of paperwork to do. You knew you should have told him Captain Ashiro would be at the meeting too, he'd never mess around if it was the Captain. You were his sole target for teasing.
"Which fucking division are you in now Soshiro??" You grumble to yourself, flipping through papers on his desk, and opening drawers trying to see if he left you some sort of clue. You found nothing and you thought you might have to journey all over Japan to find him, when you got a text on your phone.
Come pick up my idiot brother, please. He's driving me crazy.
You scoff at your phone. Well this was a new one. Looks like he was in the Sixth Division today.
When I get there, I'm going to kick his ass so hard he lands in America.
You suit up and take your motorcycle. He hates when you make him ride on the back of your bike (he claims you drive like a crazy person and his sensitive stomach can't take it) but you don't give a shit right now. You just want the fastest way to get to him, and with this mode of transport you can duck and weave in between cars.
You arrive at the scene of Hoshina's soon to be murder, revving your engine as you spin in circles making donuts on the pavement and sputtering smoke into the air.
You pull out your megaphone from your bag. You had to buy a megaphone at this point.
"SOSHIRO FUCKING HOSHINA! IF YOU DON'T SHOW YOURSELF IN TWO SECONDS I WILL SNAP YOUR SWORDS IN HALF AND SHOVE THEM WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!" You bellow loudly through the speaker.
The onlooking officers wince and move aside, making way for a very embarrassed Soshiro to step through.
"Hi baby." He says, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly as he slowly walks towards you.
"PICK UP THE PACE SOLDIER!" You yell as though he doesn't outrank you.
He sighs and starts jogging to you.
"Little much today, don't you think, love?" He asks as he approaches you.
You raise an eyebrow, daring him to challenge you, and he holds both his hands up in surrender.
He grins. "I mean, it was sexy and all." Then he cocks his head at your ride. "But did you have to bring the damn bike?"
You smirk at that. "If you didn't want to ride on my bike you shouldn't have run away, dumbass."
He groans, already clutching at his stomach. "Please don't drive crazy."
You wink at him. "Shall we do some off-roading? Just for you baby?"
He rolls his eyes and hops on the back of the bike, wrapping his arms around your waist. Then he leans in closer and presses a kiss to your neck. "Hey. We haven't had a date this week yet, and I saw this cute lil diner on the way in. Dinner on me, baby?"
You bite your lip to keep from smiling. This was the one thing you liked about his stupid, wild antics. He'd treat you to anything in whatever city you found yourselves in. "Dinner... and I saw a shopping mall on the way over. Buy me something nice."
He chuckles and snuggles up against you. "Deal baby."
And that was Tuesday. But then came Saturday and Saturday was a whole different beast. It was you and Hoshina's day off and you had been snuggled up in bed with him when he said he wanted to go for a walk, you were still sleepy so you waved him off and he said he'd be back soon. That was three hours ago.
Ughhhh, why's he doing this to me on a Saturday? You groan and throw on your combat suit. You've got your knives tucked in place all over your suit and guns prepared when you hear a knock at the door. That better be him, you think to yourself.
You open the door and it's a woman. You blink. She blinks.
"I'm looking for Soshiro?" She asks.
Your eyes narrow. "Who wants to know?" And who the fuck is using his first name so comfortably.
"I'm his girlfriend." She says snootily.
You throw your head back and laugh once, then you stand up straight, cracking your shoulders and your knuckles. You glare down at her. "That's funny. Because I'm his girlfriend."
She clears her throat. "Well I'm his ex-girlfriend," She corrects herself like it's a simple mistake.
Bitch. You didn't just misspeak, you were trying to have something over me, you think to yourself. "And what the fuck are you doing visiting his place, ex-girlfriend?" You emphasize ex as you step closer to her, towering over her and causing her to back up one step. But she holds her ground and refuses to back up any further.
"Just wanted to see if he missed me, that's all." She says simply and you're pissed off by her honesty. Like she's not threatened by you.
"Be a good girl and tell him I said hi, yeah?" She smirks.
Your fists clench. "Darling, I don't know if you know this, but these apartments are owned by the Defense Force and I'm the Third Division's Platoon Leader so I say you're trespassing. If I see you around here one more time, if you even breathe anywhere near my boyfriend, I will personally grab you by your shitty extensions and drag you off the grounds myself. Is that crystal fucking clear?" You make a point of pulling your gun out, though you know it's an immature move.
She raises an eyebrow but then rolls her eyes and backs off. "I see Soshiro still likes them crazy." Then she walks off and leaves you alone with your thoughts. You watch as her figure recedes, biting into your lip until it bleeds.
What a fucking awful way to spend your Saturday.
You need to shoot something. You open your phone to find the tracking app (you'd finally decided you needed to install some way to trace Soshiro easier), and find he's in the First Division today.
"Sorry Narumi, I'm about to break your fucking door down." You snatch your keys (honestly- you almost rip the whole ass hook off the wall trying to grab them) and get in your car (you think it might be too dangerous to be driving pissed off on a motorcycle). You slam on the gas, the smell of burning rubber filling the air, and you speed off.
When you arrive, you thank god there's an actual kaiju attack. If you didn't have something to kill, you might've strangled Soshiro himself. In fact, you might kill the kaiju and strangle him anyway.
Now the First Division officers see you pull up and they start to groan, looking around at each other nervously. Soshiro runs away to the First Division more than any other division because he knows it'll annoy the shit out of Narumi to have the two of you causing chaos in his city (kill two birds with one stone right?), so these officers know you almost as well as the Third Division at this point. Or at least they thought they did, but today you were a whole different level of frenzied and furious and they were not immune to the fear that followed.
You don't even look at them, and they start to breathe again, thinking they're safe. Then you jump on the head of the nearest kaiju and start pummeling it with your fists until it's pulp. The officers gulp. You usually use your gun and give the kaiju's a quick death- less chance of them hurting anyone else if they die quicker, you'd say. But apparently today you weren't thinking about mercy or efficiency.
When your fists finally start to get tired, you pull out your gun and start rapidly blasting any beast that dares come near you. Then, once you've cleared out most of the kaiju, you start to go for the big one. That's where Narumi and Soshiro are currently held up. Narumi rolls his eyes as you jog up to them and Soshiro grins.
"Hey baby!" He calls to you.
"A fucking walk? Huh, Soshiro? A walk?" You spit out.
He shrugs, still grinning from ear to ear. "It was a long walk, what can I say?"
"You went for a walk in your goddamn combat suit? To the First Fucking Division??" You demand, punching him in the arm.
He senses you're a different kind of mad today but he can't quite figure out why. He watches you intently, trying to piece it together.
You know he's trying to figure you out so you make it easy for him. "Met your bitch ass ex girlfriend today. You know, the one you failed to mention you had."
He coughs. "You met Tsumi?"
Hearing her name, knowing that he knows who you're talking about, pisses you off even more. You punch his other arm and he winces.
"You ladies wanna take this conversation elsewhere? I'm kinda busy here." Narumi says, still shooting at the Honju.
"Actually, I think I'm good right where I'm at." You charge headfirst towards the Honju, while Narumi and Soshiro gape at you. You run at it, shooting anywhere that looks like a soft spot but to no avail. You're glad the Honju isn't easy to kill though- you don't want it to be.
"Guess I'll have to use these." You pull out Soshiro's swords and he spins around wondering when you took them from him. You slash at the beasts legs, arms, chest, neck. You just want to slash at something, anything at this point.
Be a good girl and tell him I said hi, yeah?
You hear her stupid fucking voice in your head and you keep slashing and slashing until you you realize the Honju has been long dead and the officers of the First Division are gathered around you, staring.
You wipe the blood from your face. "Soshiro. We're going home. NOW." You drop his swords to the floor with a clang and he winces at the sound. He collects them quickly and follows you to the car, waving bye to the other officers before he gets in.
You drive home, intending to spend the time in silence but Soshiro has other ideas.
"Does it help if I say you were really sexy back there?"
You're silent.
"Hey, I saw this really cool movie theater we could try. It's got luxury seats and a full bar."
Still silent.
"Baby. Come on. Are you really mad at me? For real? I don't even get a date?"
You glare at him and then turn back to face the road. "Why don't you take Tsumi on a date?"
You can almost hear his stupid cheeky grin. "Ahhh. I see. Someone's jealous. So sexy."
You punch his arm again in the same spot you'd hit earlier. "Hey! You're gonna bruise my beautiful arms, ya know!"
"I'm aiming to."
He scoffs. He's quiet for a moment. Then he daringly says, "I bet Tsumi wouldn't do this to me."
You slam on the brakes.
You peer out the window and it looks like you're near a motel. You drag his ass out of the car and book the two of you a room at the front desk before dragging him to said room.
He smirks. "Little mini vacation? Is that what's going on right now?"
"Get undressed." You demand.
He licks his lips at the sudden order. Though caught off guard by this random excursion of yours, he goes along with it. "Yes ma'am." He starts to strip and for a moment, you get distracted by the ripple of his muscles tight against his body. Then when he's fully naked in front of you, you back him towards the bed. He allows you to, thinking you're here to reward his bad behavior. You're not.
You pull out some handcuffs and shackle him to the bed frame, to his surprise. You start to walk away and the smirk drops from his face as he starts to think that maybe you're going to leave him here in some random motel on the side of the road.
"Hey! Hey wait! Baby, where are you going? Baby, talk to me! You can't leave me here!"
You tsk at him, wavy a finger in front of his face. "Be a good boy and sit still, I'll be right back." You tighten his cuffs, sending a slight jolt of pain into his wrists. He gulps.
You leave the room and go grab some things from the car.
When you come back you wrap a blindfold around him and he flinches.
"Wh-what's going on? Baby?" He asks, uncertain for the first time all day.
You nuzzle against his ear and bite the lobe, pulling slightly. He inhales sharply. "I'm going to teach you to behave yourself." You say in a low growl. He shivers.
You pull your whip out and start running it up one of his calves. His breath hitches in his throat. You wrap a hand around his throat, applying slight pressure around it. Before he can get used to the sensation, you drag the whip up and slap it down on his thigh. He gasps at the little taste of pain that's searing his leg, but you know he loves it.
"Tell me... does Tsumi make you feel like this?" You whisper in his ear, this time licking up the curve of it.
He swallows. "N-no baby... only you do." His words are meek and they sound so delicious to you.
"That's a good boy." You whip his other thigh and he groans this time, his cock engorging at the feeling. You lightly drag the whip across his dick, causing it to twitch. He lifts his hips and arches into it, wanting more.
"You want this baby?" You start to drag the whip up his defined abdomen and across his chest. He nods quickly. You smirk at his eagerness. You run the whip down the length of his arm and flick it hard against his forearm.
He groans and bites his lip.
You pull on his bottom lip, and his teeth release it. "No biting, love. That's just for me." You lean forward and bite his lower lip, tugging on it gently before releasing.
"Fuck." He whispers.
"Watch your language baby. I might just have to punish you for that."
"So punish me," He says, breathless.
You lick your lips at his pleading. The sight of him laid bare for you, desperate for your attention, was such a pretty picture. The Vice Captain of the Third Division, all flushed and panting, precum seeping from his throbbing cock. All because you touched him a little.
You thought you'd reward him a little. You trace your tongue up his thigh, lapping at the red welt on his skin. He throws his head back against the bedframe, soaking in the feeling of your wetness on his skin. You grab his balls in one hand and squeeze as you drag your tongue up the length of his bulging erection. You nip at his tip a little and then, before he can react, you deep throat him.
He hits the back of your throat and he inhales sharply. Your mouth tightens around him, coating him thoroughly in your saliva as you suck harder. Then, right as he thinks he might cum, you pull back. He swears and you almost laugh. His legs are shaking now and he bucks at the air, trying to get some relief. You press two hands down tightly on his thighs, shoving him back into the mattress.
"Not yet. You cum when I say you can. Got that?"
He whimpers as more precum trickles out of him.
You place a cock ring at his base and he groans. "You're going to tease the shit out of me until I'm begging for it, huh?"
"You got that right baby."
You click a leash around his neck and uncuff him from the bed. You tug on the leash, pulling him towards you and meeting his lips for a sloppy kiss. Then you withdraw from him, leaving him hungry for more, and you push him down flat against the bedsheets.
He tries to get up, reaching for your face to snag another kiss, but you shove him back down. "Such a bad boy. You only do what I tell you to, got that?" You flick the whip at his thigh again.
He shudders. "Yes baby. Anything you say baby."
Then you pull out your prostate massager and, after lubing it up thoroughly, you slowly side it inside him causing him to gasp. Then you turn it on to a low setting and watch as he twitches, moans escaping his beautiful lips.
"I'm not done with you yet love." While that's running, you grab a vibrating wand and turn it on. It rumbles against the base of his cock, causing him to tremble.
"Fuck." He whimpers.
"What did I say about your language baby? Seems someone hasn't learned their lesson." You turn the settings up on the wand and trace it up his length, earning another groan from him. His precum starts to pump ferociously as the wand reaches his tip. He's starting to overload, unable to keep up with the vibrations coming from both ends of him. He can't tell if he should focus more on the delicious pressure up against his prostate or the rumbling across his dripping tip.
"Now, tell me again. What is Tsumi to you?"
"Nothing. She's nothing." He gasps out.
"And what am I?"
"Everything. You're everything baby." His moans come out low and guttural.
"Good boy. Now tell me, are you going to run away from me again? You know we've got important work to be doing at the Third Division."
He bites his lip.
You sigh. "I see. Still haven't learned your lesson then. Alright, I can go at this all night, let's see how much you can take."
You turn the settings up to max on both devices.
He jolts so quickly he chokes on his spit, the saliva drizzling down his chin, as he clenches the sheets hard. "B-baby! B-baby, p-please!" His words are frantic as they stumble out of his mouth. He chokes back a sob as you press the wand harder against him.
"Th-that's t-too m-much... ah fuck!"
He ejaculates wildly, his hips bucking from the sheer force of it, as hot milky cum spurts out of him in erratic bursts, dousing you. He's still shuddering from his violent orgasm when you've finally turned off the toys and pulled them away from him.
His breathing is ragged and shaky, and sweat from his forehead starts to trickle down and cloud his view.
"S-so we're all good now, r-right?" He asks weakly.
You smirk at him, feeling smug.
"For now."
