It’s insane to me that Dragon Age 2 is sandwiched in between two WAY HUGER and WAY MORE SUCCESSFUL games about more traditional fantasy protagonists facing off against world ending threats and winning and it’s this…weird, raw, personal tragedy about how no matter what you do, you can’t always stop crisis and disaster from occurring. Like The Hero or Ferelden, no matter who they were, wants to stop a Blight. The Inquisitor wants to repair the sky. And Hawke, like, wants to make some money, hang around their friends, and keep their family and their adoptive city safe. And they can’t even fucking do that, so unlike the heroes before and after them. You spend seven years in Kirkwall until the game says, “yeah, no matter what, the prejudices and traumas and hurts of this world are Too Much for one person to stop them. The world changes, wars roll over the land, you cannot stop history, Hawke. You tried. You failed.” And then you just sit there, sixteen years old, listening to “I’m Not Calling You A Liar” and you’re like….well, I guess I really wasn’t a hero. Damn. I love it.

I really don't know I feel about this. I really do appreciate the idea of genuine friendship and great dynamic with no romance involved - it is refreshing. On the other, that is probably the best direction available. At least Mack would bring more optimistic energy, Aaron and John feel like a vortex that sucks any joy out of life.
I would forgive emmerdale if …. we are going towards mack having feelings for Aaron 👀👀👀👀
I mean what is this… he is so jealous and threatened by aaron having anything with john 😂
I love this guy…
Anyway he actually have chemistry with aaron 🥲

#Uh-huh I see where this is going#I think this is the first time where I genuinely see Aaron/Mack signals#I don't really know how I feel about it#I mean I was genuinely happy to have friendship with no romance involved that was refreshing

This is weird.
So, the whole Aaron/John thing has been going for a while and christ, it's a mess and I don't even know where it's leading. I mean, if it is catalyst for Robert's return - that would make it bearable, sort of. If it's not the case then...it's just cruel towards Aaron, it makes him stuck in the past, I'm done with show making his life a massive pile of misery. The character is beyond exhausted right now, stuck in this hopeless cycle. Why on earth can't show let Aaron be happy for once? He doesn't even need romantic relationship, I just want to see him content.
As for John...despite the wooden acting, I don't mind the idea of a character, I like the general aloof vibe. It's the relationship with Aaron I am set against. Also, they're getting it on constantly, Aaron was more capable of showing restraint with Robert, I mean there were sometimes even months when things weren't right between them and they weren't sleeping together. With John, Aaron for a minute was uncomfortable with the whole Robert's brother thing and then just went ahead.
Lastly, I expected Vic's reaction to be stronger? Like, she's not happy about Aaron and John sneaking around but otherwise she's fine with the whole thing???? There was this one time when the nosy, intervening act would be useful.

I genuinely would prefer Mack and Aaron to stay friends because well, it is nice to have characters with good dynamics without the romance part.
So yeah, until today's episode I always saw them as just that - mates, nothing more. But today for the very first time I saw the signals.
OK I'm just going to say it, tonight was the first time when it seemed like they might actually be trying to hint at Mackenzie having feelings for Aaron. WTF? I need this not to be a thing for my Robert return hopes 😭
Anyway I'm going to pretend tonight's episode didn't happen and go back to my Palace of Delusions.

so not only is John Rob's half brother, but they actually had their first kiss happen by the side of the road by a car Aaron just fixed. just, send help. at least it didn't happen at the layby, that would have fucked me up. I guess at least they have the sense to realize the layby is holy and not to mess with it. ugh. but that aside, although initially they don't have anywhere near the chemistry Robron had, + the lack of buildup being disappointing, I do see some potential. I like John having a bit of an edge.

I've only finished the Book 4 demo and honestly? Whatever's going on A's route so far is bs. Detective should have an option to be more detached, let them move on. A...I don't even know what they're doing. They're giving MC false hope. I think I'd be happier if they kept their distance, at least they'd stay true to their word.

They hurt us only to come and flirt with us again only to hurt us once again only to flirt with us again only to hurt us again and so on...♻ ♻️

The true definition of delusional is me, genuinely invested in Bobby. With A at least you know there is some sort of endgame.

A new inside out emotion just for the clowns 🤡
