people need to realize that dissolving the lines between gender also means dissolving the lines between sexuality. you cannot say gender is fake and then say sexuality is strict and rigid.

there are multigender/genderfluid people who are lesbians and gay men at the same time. there are mspec lesbians/gays/straights who have a complex relationship with gender and their sexuality. there are gay men who are women and lesbians who are men because male isn't the opposite of female.

"conflicting" labels are a part of many people's queer experience, because the human experience isnt simple enough to be put into neat perfect categories. if you truly support trans/genderqueer people, you need to accept the fact that gender and sexuality is complex and there will be people whose identities you don't understand

I made this series to share clear, no-BS info about abortion in a way that feels kind and easy to understand. Each post starts with a simple “Did you know?” fact — covering everything from how long a first-trimester procedure takes, to what recovery can look like, to the reminder that all kinds of people (not just women) have abortions. I wanted the tone to feel approachable and nonjudgmental, so I used soft, pastel rainbow colors and a clean layout to keep things gentle but informative.

Me and my little queer family (Dave he/him, Zeke Ze/Zem) didn't manage to get enough money in time to get groceries tonight and we are completely out of food. Our foodstamps have refilled, but we lack a car and live in Appalachia so we rely on instacart. We managed to get enough for the delivery fees, but we won't be able to get groceries until tomorrow now.

i'm just tired. i'm so fucking tired. if we pointed out and called attention to every instance of racism we saw in the MOGAI community alone it would not only get annoying but turn people against us because people don't like talking about race, people don't like talking about racism. i'm tired of being gentle and i'm tired of trying to not be angry, but i'm pissed. and i know that if i stop being gentle and i do express my anger, then people not only will stop listening but even turn against us. even with Kond's post, which was putting it so gently, got us anon hate

start looking for racism in the community. you'll find it, easily. language characters used as decoration, whitewashed characters in edits, the ratio of white people to people of colour in the community. it cannot fall solely on the shoulders of people of colour to point out and discuss this racism. you cannot only care about racism when someone tells you to. own up to your racism, don't delete it and shove it under the rug. don't run and hide when someone points out your racism, don't put your own white feelings over the violence people of colour face. and i'd bet money that a not-insignificant amount of you reading this flinched or cringed in some way when i specified white feelings as opposed to just feelings. examine that. unpack that. and for G-d's sake, go read White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, or at this point even skim the Wikipedia page. just stop ignoring the racism around you because people of colour can't
