It’s International Corgi Day (6/4) so I thought I’d share my corgi here. Hope she brings smiles your way!
Her name is Lucina! Some of you may know that name from Fire Emblem Awakening. Actually, Lucina is not named after that character. She is named after the Roman Goddess Juno who was sometimes titled Lucina. Why Juno? Because one of Juno’s sacred animals (and offerings?) was commonly known to be cattle. Corgis are herding dogs that are meant to herd cattle as well as sheep/goats. Also Lucina got a Roman name because the Romans came after the Greeks, and since my first dog is named Selene after the Moon Titaness, I figured I go for a Roman one.

The pup looks upward at him, curiously tilting her head as she observes the human for a moment. She actually circles his ankles a couple times before sitting again, lifting a paw to rest on the man’s calf and staring up at him intently. The corgi’s nose twitches briefly then barks, just a quick and soft little sound like she’s trying to get his attention.

There is a brief scramble of claws on hard flooring, like tiny paws losing traction, and then a soft impact at the ankle of the supe’s boot. Looking up is a little black and white dog, probably a corgi but the tail isn’t docked. The corgi does have a collar but the tags are askew.

Homelander had just finished talking with Ashley when he felt that impact against his boot. He glanced down, blinking and tilting his head as he eyed the little dog. “And just who are you, hm? How the hell did you get in here?” He mused.

Tibet is very pleased about being fussed over, and is even happier to see treats may be involved.
She sits up very politely, only to sit higher on her hindquarters and lift her paws in the classic begging motion. Tibet knows that manners are important in a big dog like her.
There’s a giant mass of red fur sitting in the middle of the room, but the puppy-dog eyes are a clear sign of a friendly dog. Even if she is big enough to be a bed for someone Hemlock’s size.
Hemlock squeaks, immediately diving into the ball of fluff.
He uses his nails to give scritches and help comb through the dog's massive fur. "Oh, what a pretty baby! Who's my big baby?"
He cooes and fawns over the dog for several minutes, fetching a few dog treats for her to eat.

In the absence of dogs, what cow breed do you think would make good guard dog substitutez?
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i dont think cattle would do very good at guarding things woops ! theyre prey animals and they dont really have like.. guarding instincts like a dawggy does!
although fun fact.. did you know that donkeys are sometimes used as livestock guardian animals to protect sheep and cows!

i looovveeeeeeeeee guardian animals i think its so funny. donkeys are used for bigger livestock but for chickens and ducks .. people use geese!!!!! its so funny like. let me get one animal thats kinda like you but kills for fun. hes your dad now.

Hey there and welcome!
We’re a multi-fandom rp blog, just providing fuzzy companions to anyone who needs or wants them.
Rules:
1- don’t abuse the dogs. Can the pups come up injured for angst reasons? Sure. But don’t straight up abuse the dogs.
2- none of them have names but they do have tags with their breed on them. Feel free to call the darlings whatever you like.
Meet the pups!
Samoyed: fluffy, white, and a bit of a space cadet. He’s a very good boy, a little mischievous, but he’s always ready for an adventure!

Tibet: a Tibetan Mastiff. She’s very large and red-brown like freshly dug up clay, with a darker brown lion’s mane of a ruff around her neck. Unlike most of her breed, this girl is a little timid most of the time and shy. But she’s a very good guardian who will totally fight a tiger for you, she’s a certified service and guard dog.

Corgi: This little loaf is a very good work buddy! She is a welsh cardigan with a mild attitude and the best smile, but watch your ankles. She’s very likely to try herding any of her friends.
