i’m having trouble figuring this out

so if you have 2 characters, character a and character b, what if a is technically older than b by a few years but b time traveled back in time so that makes them older by a few years.

say a was born in 2000 and b was born in 2005 so a is older by 5 years, but if b is in 2025 and goes back to 2020 then b is 5 years older but a is technically older?

does it just balance out? i need answers because when you’re writing a story gotta figure a few things out.
