I don't know why my brain decided to make Howdy a doctor/butcher in my dreams but I thought it was neat.

He waits for me to go to sleep like Freddy Krueger. He and his family even told me "Welcome Back!" once.

I tried to wake myself up multiple times and I was usually hit with playfully shushing or some variation of "not yet." But there was one time where Howdy stopped what he was doing and gave me this hurt look and told me, "You're not being any fun neighbor." Mind you, he's trying to organ harvest me.

Be careful on the road!🚦

It's a concept from last year, but I've never been able to get it in order. I wanted to make mini-illustrations for a "children's book" about the rules of the road for small pedestrians. There were also supposed to be other characters, but a lot of time has passed and nothing has changed. Therefore, I decided to just show what I have.

Julie, Frank, Wally & slightly unhinged/eccentric Reader

Julie

★ You and her make all sorts of new games. One afternoon, you "borrowed" a shopping cart from Howdy. And tried to see how fast you could go with her inside. Julie cheered. Howdy screamed. Now you owe the shopkeeper a new cart.

★ Somehow, you function on three hours of sleep and a bag of chips. Like a teen that got a hold of energy drinks for the first time. Julie just assumes it's normal for you to live like this. When you finally crash, she watches you. Amazed you stayed up this long.

★ She drew the line at homemade fireworks. Because she really doesn't want you destroying stuff. "You're gonna blow up that mailbox!" Julie warns you, wide eyed and a little scared. But you lit the fuse anyway. And this time, all she did was watch.

Frank

★ Frank started questioning natural selection after meeting you. Not for being a good example. But because nothing you've done has killed you. The catalyst for this thought was when he saw you lighting... what looked like a pile of cardboard tubes? Followed by an explosion.

★ You must be doing something right if you've made it this far. Even though he's tried reasoning with you to make better decisions. "Please don't." He says while pinching the bridge of his nose. You grin "What if I do?" Sometimes, Frank makes you wear a helmet.

★ Despite everything, he likes having you around. He may mutter "You're going to be the death of me." But Frank still has a first aid kit stashed away. Just for you. History suggests you'll need it again.

Wally

★ He always thought life was best lived carefully. Then you came along. With your scraped knuckles and busted knee. And Wally was charmed! He doesn't understand the things you do, but he can't stop thinking about it.

★ You climbed the tall clock tower without safety gear. It wasn't damaged, but you were after losing grip. He didn't lecture you after. Just said "You should be more careful." While Frank, on the other hand, gave you an earful.

★ When somebody complains about your recklessness, he's the first to defend you. Saying “They think it's fun.” And nothing else. Because that might start an argument. And Wally doesn't care for those.

Basic life stuff on Father’s Day your dad may have never taught you

Men’s pants often have what’s called vanity sizing so a 32 inch waist between different brands is actually different sometimes. It’s still a good idea to try the pants on before you buy them.

It’s always morally correct to simply walk away from a salesman. You don’t need to buy a mattress to be polite. Just leave. Walk away. Skedaddle.

A complete meal has fat, protein, carbs, and some kind of fruit or vegetable. A snack should have carbs and protein. That’s how you stay full for longer and get your vitamins. It’s really that simple.

Dumpster diving is legal in many countries including the US, Canada, and Australia but trespassing and property damage are illegal. If you are allowed to be in an area and can access the trash without breaking anything you can just take stuff

You should be thinking about retirement savings even in your 20s and 30s. Get a mutual fund.

You can add a layer of seasoning to a cast iron skillet right on the stove. You don’t actually have to put it in the oven every time.

To build a fire, build a little pile of kindling first with plenty of air under it. This can be sticks or leftover wood from the hardware store. Doesn’t matter. Then light some newspaper or leaves under it. This’ll help the kindling catch on fire. Then you can add a log to it. The log needs a long exposure to flames before it catches on fire.

Fresh cut wood needs to dry out for several months before it’ll work as either building material or firewood. Several years is even better.

These are just me thinking about design. I think I’ve got the body down, but the feet on his lower body are puzzling me. Shoes? No shoes (cuter option)? Colored legs with same colored pads, or same colored legs with different colored pads. Idk. Ay e ill just leave that as something that just changes every time I draw him :p

🌸Julie's outfit🌸 I had this outfit in mind for a while, I finally gave in and finished it! I'll add some trivia about it under the spoiler tag~

-The major inspiration for this outfit was imagining Julie with the song "Do it for her" from Steven Universe. Garnet's wedding dress concept also played a role in this design. -The idea behind this piece would be Julie takes on the role of the hero in the play for once. I would love to see Julie being in an active role and not just the damsel in distress again. -The play would start like any other classic fairy tale about a Princess (Julie) and her Prince (Wally), but with a twist. The Prince is the one who gets kiddnapped by the big bad, and the princess has to go on a journey to save him. -In Julie's hair I've added Diphylleia flowers due to their symbolism. I think they could suit Julie in her journey to fully embrace her identity

-The tie has, of course, the genderfluid flag colors on it -The outfit has gradients of the Bisexual flag over them, each color for every piece of it -The flowers on the cape are roses (maybe it's unclear due to the sketchy nature of the drawings) -The sleeves are flower bud shaped -The belt represents the duality of Julie's identity -The other horn is covered by her hair. The single horn is a reference to my OC Blossom, a fanchild of Wally and Julie
