I have so much trouble explaining my conflicting feelings about America today but this sums it up beautifully

I feel like as I initially moved further left I started to dislike my county (American here btw) more. I would say I hated this place and I don't consider myself a citizen et cetera, but then, as I kept moving left, I realized that the America I want and believe in is the real America. The place we were always meant to have, the place we used to tell ourselves we were making, in the early days.

The America of our dreams is the truest America there ever was, and we can't let these motherfuckers take it from us.

Now, I love this place; I love the ideas it represents, used to represent, and, when we win, will represent.

Reclaim America. When u protest ICE or Donald or whoever, fly an American flag. It's not theirs. This- 🇺🇸 - flag doesn't belong to billionaires, or Donald, or fascists.

This is our flag.

Don't let them tell you that they're the real America.

I want ALL of you to be pro America in your protests, bc if it's not ur country ur fighting for, then what is it?

And if you're not fighting out of love for your country, then why?

People have backslid from taking vacations 2 or 3 times a year to going multiple years without taking a real (time off work multiple week) vacation. And companies now see it, love it and want to keep people in that type of mindset. Because if you're too exhausted from working you will have less energy to advocate for your rights

From the media that brought you "Millennials are killing [insert industry here]" articles for years and years and years, now we have....

"Hey, Gen Z, we're gonna relabel vacations into something else now and tell you how you really should be wary of taking vacation because it might impact your financial future."

Its so obvious they are just mad that people are telling their children stuff that they want to keep buried ignored and secretive in hopes they can brainwash their child into "praying the gay away". Keep educating these kids about the real world dont let their parents hold them back and turn them to hate.

What are you talking about? @cozyinquisition My family fed ourselves and had a surplus crop to sell at farmers' markets/canning for the winter off of our small residential yard. yes, you do have to tend to a garden, but right now, we still have a shit ton of modern convenience tools for gardening. And guns and arming yourself also allow you to hunt for game animals AS WELL AS defense. For reference of labor, my dad and step-mom worked the garden by themselves from planting all the way to harvest. So this idea that you can't do it is just you being pessimistic. On a good year we didnt step foot in a store for anything other than toiletries and paper goods on a bad year we had to do a little bartering an trade at the local farmers market for different foods we wanted.

As someone who lived the Michelle Obama healthy food attempt, her heart was in the right place, but it flopped. They put out nutritional guidelines but didn't secure funding for those schools to step into scratch cooking and baking. They couldn't hire and train staff or buy better ingredients to make the food so instead most schools just switched all the sodas for sugar free ones that are substantially worse for you, found a whole wheat bun and lowered portion sizes on the same foods they've been serving so that it fits below the calorie range. And charged the same price for everything which left us hungry and mad so we would bring in fast food for lunch or whatever we had at home. If it's anything short of more funding for public schools specifically for the cafeteria, then Ivanka trump is gonna flop as well. You can't nutritional guideline your way into a healthy meal when there isn't enough money to pay staff and buy healthy ingredients

Not to mess with anyone's dysphoria, but there is a simpler solution to this that shouldn't bother anyone and that is just making policy that requires all bathrooms to be private, secure, and gender neutral. Like the family restrooms. All the stalls should be floor to ceiling with solid walls and sturdy locks. Tbh even as a cisgendered man I've never felt safe in the men's restrooms because of how flimsy the stalls always are. It's never really been about men or women's protection, or they would've fixed that problem decades ago.

Cis men are trying to deflect and deny their manifest sexual abuse of women by creating the fictional 'trans women offender'.

Don't trust cis rape culture to protect women.
