Allow me to tell you a truly tragic story about a three legged serval cat…
Tumblr media
Let us start with the background. Kevin Richardson the “lion whisperer” is a man who has bred and raised lions in captivity, been party to taking cubs away from their mothers at birth, and forced these lions to live their whole lives in enclosures, to be used for his profit. These lions will never feel the freedom all lions should experience, and yet for some reason some people think this behaviour is admirable.
Due to alleged fraudulent behaviour a dispute arose between Kevin Richardson and his business partner. Kevin Richardson was well aware about how passionately his partner cared about his serval cats, one of which only has three legs. These animals were not kept in enclosures, but roamed freely around his large property.
As a result of the dispute, criminal charges were laid against Kevin Richardson and his wife Mandy Richardson. Kevin Richardson was fearful about his imminent arrest and went to the High Court on an urgent basis in an attempt to stop his arrest. The judge ruled against Kevin in this matter, and ordered that he pay all costs associated with this application.
Knowing how much his partner cared about these cats, Kevin spitefully reported this to the authorities, which resulted in Free Me taking these beloved animals, NOT because they were badly treated or in bad condition, but because they were in a residential area. As they could not capture these animals it was agreed that Dr. Claire Speedy would capture the cats and hold them pending the obtaining of a permit. Nicky Wright (Contact number: 084 514 3562) and Penny Morkel (Contact Number: 083 602 1606) from Free Me, who have been associated with Kevin Richardson,  arranged that the animals be taken to Free Me. When the owner heard about this he went to Free Me with Woolworths free range chicken pieces which the cats were used to eating. Nicky would not allow this food to be given to the cats, nor would she allow the owner to see his cats due to a previous dispute where the owner had criticised Nicky for keeping a wild buck in Free Me’s car park. He even offered for the buck to go to his farm where its quality of life would be vastly improved, but this offer was declined, without reason.
The Chairperson of Free Me, Mr. Stuart Hancock, was given a letter by Nature Conservation not to release these animals as the three legged cat would not survive in the wild. It is worth pointing out that Free Me has been investigated for cruelty to owls which were left in there care, and several of which subsequently died while in their possession.
When Nicky heard that the permit was being issued for the cats to be returned to the owner, she underhandedly sent the animals to a farm in Limpopo named Sanwild Farm. Louise Joubert (Contact Number: 083 310 3882) the owner of Sanwild has had many investigations against her, including but not limited to the death of an elephant that was left on her farm for safe keeping by Animal Rights Africa. In order to avoid an autopsy on the elephant, it was fed to lions. Louise Joubert has also previously been found guilty of a criminal offence.
Louise was approached by the SAPS for the return of these animals. She first said that one of her staff members by the name of “Gift” who had since been fired from the farm left the enclosure open and the animals had escaped. She could not provide any details for “Gift” or any records of employment. She later changed her story and said that the cats escaped during a heavy storm. This contradiction shows her ill intentions.
When the SAPS went to her farm to investigate this matter, one of her staff stated that she had gone into the enclosure and chased the animals out, knowing full well that it was unlikely that the three legged serval would survive. She instructed her staff that when the animals return for food, they are to chase them away, and NOT to feed them.
I do not know if this three legged serval has starved to death yet and I appeal to the public to assist in trying to find this animal as Louise Joubert will not allow anyone on her property to feed or find these cats. Based on the above, Sanwild is not an organisation that promotes the wellbeing of animals, and the public needs to put pressure on her to change her deplorable ways.
This entire tragedy stems from the actions of one man, Kevin Richardson, who supposedly loves animals, yet his actions have in all likelihood caused the death of a defenseless three legged serval cat. His behaviour together with that of Free Me and Sanwild, cannot be accepted. The public deserves to know the truth…

In this video, Kevin Richardson uses a GoPro camera on a lioness, who appears to hunt and kill a buck. According to an eye witness who was present with Kevin Richardson on the day the video was shot, the buck had been tied to a tree in one of the enclosures for a couple of days to starve and used as bait for the lioness, who had also been without food aswell. Hungry lion plus nearly dead buck equals a perfect GoPro moment for Kevin Richardson, the amazing public figure who is worshiped by SA and the world is nothing but a sham. The eye witness has confirmed that the buck was barely alive when it was untied from the tree, to be used as bait in order for Kevin Richardson to make his GoPro Lioness Hunts Down a Buck with Kevin Richardson. It is in the public interest to know that their Lion Whisper is nothing but a clever con artist and good manipulator. I find the baiting of animals completely immoral, and not something i would ever have expected from Kevin Richardson, The Lion Whisperer…
