Visiting the Lord

I and my co-youth, together with our leaders, went to Cebu to visit one of the most sacred places here on earth, the Mormon Temple. We arrived at Mactan–Cebu International Airport last June 11, 2018 at 10 o’clock in the morning.

Cebu is really a busy place. There are lots of people in the airport, outside the airport, and even everywhere. I can really say that foreign people love this place because I can see them all over the place. The streets were really busy, people were busy, and everyone was busy. If you are planning to have a travel in Cebu, I suggest you bring stuffs that can entertain you while you’re stuck on the traffic.

My energy was renewed when I finally saw angel Moroni’s statue standing at the top of the Mormon temple, facing above the sky holding his trumpet and as if he’s blowing it. His countenance shone and it was really mesmerizing. At last, after 8 months of waiting and preparation, I’m back again.

Upon entering the temple ground, I can’t help myself from staring at the Lord’s kingdom here on earth. The temple ground was really different from the outside. I really felt the peace, as if was not in Cebu.

Same experience I had last October 2017, I felt the sense of happiness and love. I’m indeed in love with the Lord’s House. The joy I felt was really incomparable. Because of these I would like to come back again, and I will always keep myself worthy to enter in the Lord’s House.

The people I met there were very nice. I can see the smile in their hearts. There was sunshine to all of us. I’m sure that they have the same feeling as I have. All of my worries and problems were swept away for I felt the Lord’s love and comfort.

I will never forget this place. My spiritual experiences with the Lord is beyond comprehension. I will come back soon, as often as possible. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

White ball of rock

The moon,

it is barely one-quarter the size of the Earth, it is the biggest, brightest object in the night sky, shining almost like a night-time sun. Yet it has no light of its own. It is just a big cold ball of rock, and it shines only because its dust contains flecks of glass that reflects the light of the Sun. It is Earth's companion in space, about 384,000 km away, and circles slowly around it once a month. It takes 27.3 days for the moon to circle the Earth, but it takes 29.53 days, or a lunar month from one Full Moon to the next, because the Earth is also moving. As the Moon moves around, it also rotates or turns slowly on its axis, so that the same face always points towards us. The far side of the Moon can never be seen from the Earth's surface. The Moon's surface is pitted with ancient craters that were made by the impact of meteoroids, the large dark patches that people once thought were seas, so they are called Mare, from the latin for sea. Today, scientists know they are vast, dry plains formed by ancient lava from volcanoes that erupted early in the Moon's life. There are phases of the moon, all that can be seen of the Moon from Earth is its brightly lit, sunny side. As it circles the Earth, the sunny side of the Moon is seen from different angles and so it seems to change shape. At New Moon, the Moon is positioned directly between the Earth and the Sun and all that can be seen from Earth is just a cresent-shaped glimpse of the sunny side.

Over the next two weeks, more and more of the Moon is revealed until at Full Moon, when it is furthest away from the Sun, all of it becomes visible. During the next two weeks, less and less of the Moon is visible until it returns to crescent shape, called the Old Moon. The Moon is the only other world humans have ever visited. The first men to walk on the Moon were the Americans, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, on the Apollo 11 space mission. They touched down on its surface on 20 July 1969. The first woman in space was the Russian, Valentina Tereshkova. And since there is no air, wind, rain or snow on the moon, the dust never moves and so the footprints left behind by the astronauts will be there for millions of years.

Some planets have many moons, just like Uranus have 21 moons, Saturn have 18 moons, Jupiter have 16 moons, Neptune have 8 moons, Mars have two while Earth only have 1 moon.

Protect earth to the garbage invasion

Earth, is a place we lived in and a place we called home. A complete masterpiece of the Almighty One that puts its safety and productivity to us. We human, in years have sustained the gifts given by nature and completely being arrogant of what's the consequences of their action.

Earth's gifts are limited and priceless.

But, nowadays the number of people are increasing so as the garbages. Imagine if each of one of us throw garbage anywhere, do u feel it wont be get larger? It wont be messy? No, it will. If that happen we people will be swallowed by our own mistake. We might destroy mother nature. We might kill thousand of animals, people, and living. We might destroy our own home, that's earth.

So my fellow people lets help out mother earth to the garbage invation, to the polution, to the lazy people, and to our own mistake. We must heal mother nature for the animal to live, to heal the polluted air, to heal the unhealthy water, to heal the beauty of mother nature.

So guys lets make our right decision because this world is might the only home we can live. This world is limited and a great and big gift to us.

The beauty of being alone

Have you ever tried to be alone? In the midst an empty room, without anyone to talk to, but still happy with the company of yourself? hm sometimes I can feel tranquility when I am alone. I can freely express everything. When I am alone, there's nothing I am terrified of. No judgmental eyes, a beyond the barrier perceptions, no people surrounding me. Some calls it being introvert, I call it my comfort zone. The zone where in I can be myself. Some calls it being coward, I call it the place where I truly belong. Being alone isn't sad, sometimes, you can find yourself, the answers to your questions, and most especially, the meaning of something bothering you a long time ago.

When I'm going through a lot of problems, and mountains of troubles, I enter my room, search for my musical instrument, pluck the strings one by one, feeling the rhythm, and there I can somewhat ease the sufferings caused by those problems. The beauty of sitting near the window, watching the raindrops fall by the window pane, with a hot cup of coffee, and a good book beside me. The beauty of being alone.

Clubs and Organization

Joining clubs/organizations may be stressful, although, it is the one of the most exhilarating experience in one’s life. Involvement in extracurricular activities is one of the most important things you can do while studying.    

For the students it will give them motivation to join in student activities and thoughts on how they will solve the negative effects of activities in their academic performance and social functioning. Lastly, for the community specifically for the parents, it will give them a sense of fulfillment in the near future. Students have a variety of purposes for joining clubs and organizations including : Networking Opportunities, Social Opportunities, Professional Experience, Personal Development, Leadership Skills Organization, and Management Skills. 

The obvious benefit of joining club and organization is the impact it will have on your special life. You will meet people who share interest with you, and you will widen your social network beyond your fellow men and the people you live with. While each offers its own benefits, your fellow men give you a great chance to enhance your employability, and it’s never too late to join because you can also: Make Things Happen, Develop Membership Skills, Learn Other Useful Knowledge.

So, in joining it helps other people to gain more knowledge, ideas, enhance skills and lastly it helps them to be a better person.

What is ICT?

       What is ICT by the way? What is the benefit we can get from it? Does ICT affects every human lives in a positive way or in a negative way? Does all of us really know what is the purpose of ICT in our daily lives? How does it work? How can we use it?

         As a student those were the questions that pops-up from my mind. Well, luckyly I have found all the answers of my questions through a research.  So first, What is ICT? According to College of Communication and Information in School of Science Information,UK; "ICT is an umbrella term used to encompass all rapidly emerging, evolving and converging computer, software, networking, telecommunications, Internet, programming and information systems technologies." Therefore, ICT is one of the most used technology now a days. Because of the gadgets, we can now have an access to the internet in just one click, and other communication devices.

        In my own experience, ICT plays a big role in my life. Specially that I’m doing AMV edits on Youtube. I really need an internet connection so that I can communicate with my friends from the other country when they invite me to do an AMV collab with them. It makes our communication easier even though we’re miles and miles away from each other. And it makes our works more cozy.

  In the society, we can never say that ICT doesn’t have any use at all. From our Goverments, Businesses, Personal transactions and even to our security meassures at airports, terminal and many more, we rely on technology so much to make the work more faster and convenient to the one who we provides our services with. Even if we buy our stuffs we can now do it online right? For example, based on the current situation; some parts of Mindanao are affected by the terrorist attacks. The news was urgently reported to the President through technology even though he’s not at the Philippines at that time; the cause that he urgently announced the Martial Law to control the crisis at Mindanao. If ICT is not yet introduced at this time, then maybe the whole Mindanao is at state of chaos this time. Now, security measures, news and warnings can be easily pass from the informant to the citizens to keep us away from danger throught mails, text messages and other devices. Another, when you don't have anytime to go to the mall to buy the stuffs you need for your travel, you just surf to the internet and in just on click you can now have the ideal things that you love. Also for checking the weather, the traffic state, or even in our studies; we can do it at home by the help of ICT.

   But at some point, ICT has its negative effect too. Like now a days. Hackers can easily get an access to your bank account, personal informations and many more. Some people use ICT to destroy someone’s reputation or life. Some use it to spread haox information about a certain topic that is on trend now a days. Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Yahoo, What's Up, Discord and etc. Those mentioned social media account are not just a 'social media accounts' they're also belongs to the ONLINE PLATFORMS group. By which, it can help you communicate to your loved ones that are miles away from you, to your friends if you have assignments/research, and etc. It can also help you express on what you are feeling about a certain topic. Sometimes, it helps you express the feeling you have for a day.

   As a STEM student ICT is a really big help for me. Specially when our teacher requires us to do a research about a certain topic, we can easily conduct it with the help of technology. My track is focused on technology and more one research so it's really has a big help to me. By ICT, i can now easily seek answers that I want to know, informations that are needed to my homework and I can easily communicate with my classmates when I have some questions about our lessons. 

    ICT really affect people live now a days cause almost all of us depends on it. From office workers, Self-employeds,Businessmans, Teachers, Students, to our Security measures up to the infiormation gathering and spreading. But ICT doesn’t have only a positive effects, there is also a negative side on it if we don’t use it properly and we easily get tempted by the facts that we can earn money simply from doing bad thing to others. So be a smart ICT user. Before you click, think a hundred times, before you use, know how to use it properly.
