they definitely do. Ghouls share many traits animals do and especially fire ghouls are very territorial and get possessive over the dumbest shit so this most likely happens regularly.

Swiss angst:

He doesn’t remember his time in the Pits but he has the gnawing feeling that he isn’t allowed to love. Of course he loves to some extent, he loves his swarm mates, more than himself. But he’s careful not to show that love. He never says ‘I love you’ or anything similar because he feels like he can’t. Like he’ll die if he does. Something happened in the Pits that made him afraid of love. Not others, but his own love.

He doesn’t want to be lonely but he’s also not letting anyone get too close. He makes do with sex and cuddles and quality time but he’s never gonna go deeper. Not if it means he’ll die if he does
