Callie knew how rumors flew around the hospital. She just wanted to make sure that Arizona had her own thoughts about her and not listening to the talk around the hospital. Callie knows she was being talked about that Erica left because of her and that she was with her, and that was her only woman she has been with. But Mark, he has been there and now Callie has Arizona, if she wanted to stick this out with her and just learn to be with someone who wanted the best for her and who wanted to get to know who she was and what she did. That is all that mattered right now. Callie was more focused on trying to make something work then anything else at this point.
Callie did get nervous, she knows how her luck is. She just didn’t know if this was going to be a one and done thing and then Arizona was going to be gone. She just had to know before she got in deeper if she was being honest. Because she just felt that is what everyone did. Callie was nervous of being let down and being told she wasn’t good enough again. But feeling herself relax hearing Arizona and knowing she meant that by her eyes and just knowing that the blonde was there because she wanted to be there with her and wanted to see just where this went and Callie wanted the same. She wanted to see just where this went with Arizona because she felt something was there as well.
“I don’t need to sleep, I can make us breakfast if you have time. I am awake, and I am with you, so I want to take in this time, so if you’re up for it. I can make something good since you have a surgery, and since I am a resident I still have a department to run because my boss is a dinosaur and doesn’t do anything. So, I have to go in and do the work he can’t do. I will be going to same time you will. So breakfast?” Callie doesn’t know why she rambled all of that but maybe it was just her wanting Arizona to know she was awake and not wanting her to leave before she got up and they spent more time together.

Last night with Arizona was everything she has been wanting and more. Though, Callie didn't always think it would be possible again. After her failed marriage to George and her failed relationship with Erica, who just upped and left, it was hard for Callie to feel like anyone would ever like her again. She was down in the dumps and really just didn't think she would see anyone again. But that one night, it changed it all for her and now Arizona, she stayed the night. Something Callie wasn't expecting as she was trying not to rush things like she has in the past and get her hopes up when things don't work out with who she is with.
But Arizona, she was different and she was the one who wanted to make this work, so Callie, she took a chance and last night was incredible. Arizona was so attentive and she was just really loving and caring about everything the both of them did. She memorized her body in ways no one has before, and she was patient and she really just allowed Callie to feel and do what she needed to, to make sure that was what she wanted at the time. So waking up this morning with a perky blonde that was beside her, Callie wanted to be mad because she wasn't a morning person, but the blonde beside her, well she was all smiles and her eyes were wide. That was hard to be mad at.
Callie, she turned onto her side and she pulled Arizona closer and leaned her face into her neck and pressed a soft kiss to her skin and Callie pulled away slowly and rested her head onto her shoulder. "I am not a morning person, I don't wake up for the fun to it, but you, you make me want to wake up, but then again, I want you to sleep a little later." Laughing low and Callie pulled Arizona in a little closer so their bodies had no space between them. But a yawn slips from Callie's mouth. "Are you always up this early even after a long night? Or is it because you just wanted to wake me up?" A small laugh is heard from Callie and she presses a soft kiss to Arizona's forehead and just taking in the fact she didn't wake up alone, but she had someone there and they were just doing what was right for them right now and no one else mattered.

Callie had been wanting to get herself better from the people who have hurt her. Erica being the latest and her just leaving without a trace. Callie had been upset and so she put herself into her work and it doesn’t mean she wasn’t upset, because she was but she realized there were others out there and she wouldn’t be down for long. She just needed to know others weren’t like George or Erica. But she wasn’t really looking for anything, it was more sex for her with others, but then that all changed. Arizona had other plans and she was really just getting Callie to feel like it could be more and she wanted more. Tonight has proven to her not everyone was the same, and not everyone was like the ones who have left her before.
Arizona was everything Callie didn’t think she needed. Tonight had been perfect. Tonight was everything Callie had wanted in someone. Very attentive and really just caring about her and Callie caring about the blonde. Falling asleep to Arizona and then waking up and she was still there, Callie hated early mornings, but she could get used to this with the blonde and really just having every night and morning like this. She wanted it more then she would ever admit. Callie didn’t know how things would go being she wasn’t too experienced with women, but Arizona was patient and made her feel so good she wanted this.
“I mean, if the ride is anything like that every time, then count me in. I want to be that person you do that with. I am so into doing this with you. I feel a lot Arizona, I don’t know why you are different but it is a good different, and I don’t think i can take someone else leaving me, so if you aren’t feeling it, let me know and I will do the same and we can do this mutually. But just for the record, you are amazing and I feel like it could be something more then what most are.” Leaning in and she pressed a kiss to Arizona’s cheek.
“And if you wake up this perky every morning, please, just let me sleep sometimes. Because I am exhausted, you tired me out, but so worth it for the night we had.” Waggling her eyebrows in a playful manor, letting Arizona know she didn’t mind the late night as she felt more relaxed then she has in so long.

Callie is no stranger to someone from work. First it was George and that whole fiasco and then a small fling with Mark, until she tried things with Erica. But then she went back to Mark. None of them felt the way that Arizona makes her feel. Sure, she has history in that place and that night be something Arizona was not about, but who was Callie to hide that. She wanted to be honest with Arizona, and that is why she did what she did. She really just allowed the two of them to get to know one another and just see where things went. She was just getting over Erica leaving the way she did, and then she was just falling for Arizona. It was so easy in a way. Easier then anything else she has done this far in life.
Waking up that morning, and feeling ore at home then she has in so long. She loved waking up next to the blonde. Sure, Callie said she didn’t want to rush anything, but with Arizona, it all happened so naturally and the brunette was just glad they could do these things together, and just be with one another. That is one thing that Callie hasn’t had in a while and it felt right if she was being honest. It felt as if it was something she needed to do more often. Arizona has been patient and went at her pace and she felt like she owed the blonde more then what she was getting right now. But the way her body was relaxed and just ready for the day, she knew things were going well and Arizona knew her way around her body and she loved it.
But one thing she didn’t expect was Arizona being perky in the mornings. Maybe it was just from all the others she has been with has been nothing like the blonde and that alone, it terrified her how much she didn’t mind it. Callie was more needing sleep but right now, she felt she had enough and Arizona was the reason. Moving just slightly closer and she couldn’t help but laugh at her comment. She felt that and felt the same way. She didn’t want to leave right now, imagine when she was sleeping and on call and getting called into the hospital. Pressing a soft kiss to Arizona’s cheek she just shrugged her shoulders.
“I feel the same way. I never love waking up before my alarm, or with someone who is wide awake in the morning, but you make it easy and make it to where I don’t mind at all. You alone, make it all worth it if I am being honest. Just, thank you. Really, for staying. You have no idea how nice it feels to have someone here when I wake up.” Feeling Arizona’s hand ever so innocently rest onto her stomach, she couldn’t help but smile knowing this was just the beginning of something good and Callie, well she deserved something better from everything else she has been through.

Callie has dated co-workers before. Not that she meant to. Just sometimes it happens. First it was George, and she married him and then he cheated on her and that caused the two of them to not be together anymore. Then she was with Erica. The person that no one really understood and liked, but somehow, Callie and her formed a great friendship that turned sexual. Callie freaked out, but it didn’t stop her from exploring that more, and that is when she realized she was bisexual. But then she left and everyone was upset, but especially Cristina, being that was her mentor. It wasn’t Callie’s fault, al though she took responsibility for it and now she was just trying to get herself together. That is when Arizona walked in and swooped her off of her feet.
Not that Callie wanted to rush anything, but Arizona made her feel good. She knew that she has heard things and she knew that her past relationships would be talked about, but that didn’t seem to stop Arizona from wanting to know her and form wanting to know more about what makes Callie her. But being with women, it was still new to Callie and she didn’t have a lot of experience, but Arizona, she didn’t seem to let that stop the two of them. She was glad that she didn’t run, and that meant she might stand a chance, but Callie didn’t want to make the same mistake she has made before. Rushing into things and causing the blonde to run from her. But last night, it just happened and it felt right. It felt like it should have felt.
But one thing Callie didn’t expect was Arizona being perky in the mornings. Not that she had an issue with it because it was Arizona. Anyone else, she may have yelled, but the blonde, it was cute and she was exhausted but she couldn’t even be mad at her. She was too cute if she was being honest. And waking up next to her, well it was the best feelings knowing that she didn’t leave in the middle of the night. Laughing low and shaking her head. Though, Arizona had a point. It was the best nights sleep and the best sex she has had.
“I just — I wasn’t expecting you to be all perky. But when you put it like that, I can see why you think that and same with me. The best sex I have had and the best sleep I have had. And I think that has a lot to say about you, usually I am not one for perky in the morning, but you, you make it doable and cute and I don’t know, just maybe it is what I needed this morning. So thank you for not leaving last night after everything.” Leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to her jawline and Callie pulls Arizona closer just wanting the blonde to be close and their bodies not losing contact after everything that had happened. Callie was officially addicted and that was the opposite of what she wanted.

To say she was shocked was an understatement. Arizona was someone she didn’t expect to meet. She was just trying to get over Erica who left her and didn’t care about what she did to Callie emotionally just to get away from her. It hurt but Arizona, she had made her feel something she hasn’t felt her whole life. So maybe it was the best thing she could have done and now here she was laying beside the blonde, someone who was more experienced then her, but seeing her sated and just laying beside her that night and into the morning was more then she ever thought about. Arizona was everything she needed and she was just glad she was able to feel something other then hurt for the time being. But like always, Callie was waiting for the other shoe to drop.
If last night was any indication of what this relationship would be like, she was just glad she went for it. She was glad she didn’t hold back and Arizona didn’t run after they have went all the way. Something Callie said she wouldn’t do, but there she was naked in bed with a blonde and the next morning, she was there and Callie was just happy Arizona didn’t slip away the night before why she was sleeping. A smile on her face was evident even as she woke up from her deep slumber and her body was hurting in all the right places. She would never complain about that at all.
But laying there with the blonde was better then waking up alone. But Callie needed sleep and she just needed to wake up slightly more, but just having someone who cares about her and wanting to be there even when she is cranky in the morning, it made her smile even harder even at the thoughts. “Oh, look, even this early in the morning, you are full of something. Flirty which I like but something else as well.” Laughing low and turning more on her side and she cuddles into the blonde. Arizona was just someone she would love to wake up to every morning. “How did you sleep Arizona?” Looking up and pressing a soft kiss to her jawline and curling back in a little more and just letting out a content sigh. “Thank you for staying last night.”
