My only disappointment was we have not seen Bucky in the void. How come?! // They didn’t want to do the expected Hydra flashback because that’s already been done in multiple projects, but they couldn’t come up with something that would be worse than Hydra for Bucky to feel shame about. They did have an idea about Boy Scout Bucky doing something bad, but never got it to work. IMO Ava didn’t get a void scene for a similar reason—we already saw her trauma in Ant-Man & the Wasp. Walker’s void scene had a character purpose (fill in what’s happened to him since FATWS) and a plot purpose (it’s how the team knew that following Yelena into the void wasn’t suicide). Val’s void scene also had a character purpose (gives her a backstory) and a plot purpose (showed her how powerful Bob was).
Why is Taskmaster even in the movie if she was going to be killed within 30(?) minutes? // They felt that someone had to die because it would be anticlimactic to have four assassins try to kill each other and everyone makes it out alive. If it wasn’t Taskmaster, it would have been Walker or Ghost.

Not sure we can consider CA4 a BO success tbh
I don’t think we can, it finished cinema run around $414 million which is unlikely to have taken it into profitability. It may very well reach profitability via other avenues like VOD and merchandising. I expect the same to be the case with Thunderbolts.
Disney don’t necessarily care if they make money via traditional box office, they just care they make money. It’s just difficult to gauge what that looks like outside the traditional method of box office from the outside. Time will tell though, if they keep making marvel movies, they still turn a profit for them, if they stop then they don’t.
Wish they would release the numbers with the merchandise added so people can stfu

While the cast thinks David is the funniest one, David thinks Seb is (unintentionally) the funniest one. Poor Seb! 😆 www.threads.com/@sebastianstanfanspain/post/DJWahHToLat
Oh he definitely is unintentionally funny and i love that

I think some reviews about his role in the movie are fair and correct / THANK YOU! I think people tend to forget that critics are not Bucky's or Seb's fans, because they're just critics.
Yeah i agree
Tho, i think he was grumpy just enough lol

Steve would be totally against that ending// Why Steve's opinion so important? Steve's gone. It's Bucky's own life and he can make his own choice. Bucky is not Steve's personal belongings.

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion here, but I like Thunderbolts a lot (people here seems hate TB so much haha). The movie is sooooo much better than the other blockbusters in recent years. Easily one of the top3 MCU projects in my mind. And I like seeing Bucky doing anything without Steve. I really don't like Steve he is so boring. Bucky is much more interesting without Steve.
I actually think most of the people here liked it

Speaking of Seb questioning things… He didn’t get why Bucky putting his arm in the dishwasher is funny and didn’t want to do it. Fortunately the director overruled him. 😆

My two cents on TB (spoilers):
I really liked the movie and I have had the Marvel fatigue for a while with few exceptions. Maybe the only Marvel movie where I shed tears, the void scenes and topics of mental health and depression hit me really hard. This was very well done and it was actually dark for a Marvel movie. The scene that hit me most was Bob in the void in his room, reliving the domestic violence scene. That hit badly. I was more like "came to have a good time, left with a group therapy session 😂". a few of us in the movie theatre even applauded and this is not common in where i live.
Jokes were good but sometimes mediocre. Did not disrupt the movie tho. Acting and the cast is superb, i also loooove their interviews and interaction. Sure it's for press but they seem to be getting on well and they are all funny af 😂 Sebastian was amazing as always but special kudos goes to Lewis Pullman. He was amazing and he depicted the mental health issues so well.
Music was amazing 🥰
As for Bucky: I wish we got more screen time but obv they focused on Yelena and Bob. My only disappointment was we have not seen Bucky in the void. How come?! This guy has been part of Marvel for so long and they even showed us Val's void. This was a bummer 🥲
Second disappointment: Why is Taskmaster even in the movie if she was going to be killed within 30(?) minutes?Doesn't make sense.
But overall, a very solid Marvel movie.
Interestingly, its not going to do wonders in the BO it seems. But with CA4 it is the opposite, bad reviews but BO success according to numbers.
What do u think mod? 😌
I loved the music too, and wished we at least saw bucky in the void 🥲🥲 and i liked the jokes
Oh taskmaster was killed like 10 mins in after delivery ONE line🥲🥲
Not sure we can consider CA4 a BO success tbh

sebastian cares about bucky so much and has always reiterated that this role changed his life and he looks at bucky like a long-lost brother, so it personally upsets me that these critics are trying to make it seem like he's clocked out when he's had the most hectic two + years filming so many different projects, especially ones that are very emotionally demanding.

And i don’t think things are *this* bad that he refuses to do promo 😂 this is too dramatic guys // Maybe that comment was made before TB came out? Seb didn’t do a lot of promo before the premiere because of Fjord, but he’s done a lot more promo since the premiere.
Idk but wbk he was busy

David Harbour said in an interview that sometimes Sebastian showed up on set, wasn't happy about the way a scene looked, they would stop and work on it. He admitted it actually improved the movie. But I feel like Sebastian wasn't 100% happy with the way Bucky was written. // I don’t think Seb was unhappy. I think he (like many of us) was surprised by Bucky getting into politics. I think he was being collaborative, asking questions and offering his input on the story as a whole, not just his own role. In one interview, Flo joked that all of the cast had “main character syndrome” which I took to mean there were a lot of strong opinions on the set. In another interview, Seb implied that getting back to the familiarity of Bucky was nice after the heaviness of playing Trump.
I feel like if everyone stays respectful, this attitude could actually lead to great script changes… thing that can’t happen with passiveness
Also poor man was there after trump,,,

I'm going to see Thunderbolts* today, and I can't wait . However, I feel I can already say that most reviewers do not understand or "get" Bucky OR Sebastian. I don't think that man is capable of just phoning in a performance, he's very serious about his craft.
And Bucky is a grumpy old man. We all know that. We"ve seen it in FatWS. He's not going to suddenly switch to a sunny disposition.
I think some reviews about his role in the movie are fair and correct, the ones talking about his attitude are not tbh

Maybe I’m just a bad fan but if an actor I’m a fan of is in a project I’m not interested in, or think will be rubbish, I just don’t watch it. I have no interest in the Stars Wars franchise and wouldn’t watch a film in that franchise even if Sebastian was in a starring role. I’d not endlessly be on the internet moaning he was making a film I don’t want to see either as I’m not him or his agent and what he does is his choice.
My point being, if people don’t like Marvel, last time I checked, no one had a gun to their head forcing them into the cinema. Just not watching it and leaving people who do enjoy it to it is also an option.

“Sebastian Stan, on the other hand, appears disinterested, and it looks as if the actor has finally outgrown this rowdy superhero business.”

Free him, MCU!!
This is not fair tbh, bucky is like this and always have been since he came back from hydra

After reading all the reviews of how Bucky/Sebastian is sidelined/wasted in TB, I'm not going to bother watching it in theaters. Fjord can't come out soon enough.
