Successful Design Campaigns
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the sphere of iconic marketing campaigns, Got Milk?, Is Pepsi OK?, and You're Not You When You're Hungry stand tall as legends, each weaving its unique success story. What ties them together is the genius of crafting unforgettable taglines. "Got Milk?" kept it timeless with simplicity, "Is Pepsi OK?" infused sass, and "You're Not You When You're Hungry" hit the relatability jackpot. Visual brilliance played a pivotal role – from the milk mustache to Pepsi's dynamic scenes and Snickers' transformative humor, these campaigns aced the art of captivating imagery. Consistent branding magic was at play, with each maintaining a distinct visual identity. Celebrities lent their star power, humor was the secret sauce, and interactive engagement, especially on social media, cemented their cultural impact. These campaigns aren't just ads; they're enduring cultural phenomena that prove, in the world of marketing, a killer tagline, captivating visuals, and a touch of humor are the keys to legendary success.

Metropolis
Tumblr media
During the research for my movie poster I encounter this classic piece of cinematic art from 1927 film Metropolis. This bold design with sleek lines, and geometric shapes, somehow reflects a sense of modernity considering it was made in 1927. The use of bold, angular designs contributes to the film's futuristic themes, aligning with the visual style of the movie.
The typography in the poster is bold and striking contributing to the overall visual impact of the poster.
The imagery of the towering cityscape and the contrast between the affluent upper city is visually striking, providing a glimpse into the film's narrative.

Fluidity Designs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are witnessing an increasing trend of designs like these, commonly seen in new phone releases, wallpapers, and various applications. While I'm unsure if there's a specific term for this design style, what captivates me is the seamless harmony achieved through its flexibility, adaptability, and smooth transitions. The bold color choices complement the overall concept exceptionally well. Inspired by these characteristics, I am currently exploring a similar approach for my poster assignment, intending to integrate the same dynamic and visually engaging elements.

Psychedelic Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits poster
Tumblr media
Milton Glaser's poster for Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits album, is one of the most iconic and recognizable images in the history of graphic design. The poster shows a "stylized profile" of Bob Dylan with vibrant, swirling hair that forms a psychedelic and almost hypnotic pattern. The choice of vivid, contrasting colors, particularly the bright electric, reflects the psychedelic style so popular in the 1960s.

Colorful Dimensions: Massimo Vignelli
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Massimo Vignelli's works continue to captivate and inspire designers even to this day. I love the way he simplifies design elements. The simplicity of his designs allows for clarity and timelessness. It's fascinating how his designs bring order and harmony to layouts. Not to be left behind is the way Vignelli experimented with color; it was truly visionary. His understanding of color theory and the strategic use of a limited color palette were distinctive features of his designs.

Harmony in Hues: Exploring Gradients for Musical Inspiration
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During my search for inspiration for my music poster, I discovered my fascination with gradients. I find it to be a fantastic technique for appreciating colors. It conveys a sense of peace, almost celestial. Gradients have unquestionably become my inspiration for the music poster. I am curious and eager to learn how to apply these techniques in Photoshop. While I've come across many tutorials on using gradient tools, I realize that recreating such beautiful creations requires a lot of practice, study, and, above all, patience.
Fun fact: Augustin-Louis Cauchy, a 19th-century French mathematician, made significant contributions across various mathematical fields. The term "gradient" in the mathematical context took that name because of his influential work. By some he is the father of Gradients.

Exploring the Vibrancy of the Street Art
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have really enjoyed discovering street art in the streets of Europe. I see it as an incredibly artistic way to express feelings, messages, and, above all, art in such a raw manner. While this type of art is quite common in America, I believe it is one of the most creative forms of expression for many people. I love seeing how the techniques applied to this type of art are becoming increasingly clear.
Even though some people may not consider it art, personally, I find it to be one of the greatest forms of freedom of expression. The blend of colors and the messages conveyed through the images are simply amazing.
The two first images showcase the work of a talented Salvadoran artist named Rodolfo Diaz.

Using Photoshop for the first time!
For my first assignment I had to make 4 images using the shapes of triangles, circle, rectangle and square and I can mix the shapes with color, points, lines, and texture.
For my Circle image, I got inspired by the Idea that I was one of the few people in my class that never had use photoshop, solo in a room full of experience people I was different.
For my Triangle image, I try to experiment with different sizes and gradient colors.
For my Square image, I wanted to try to make letters from the square, so I wrote my name.
For my rectangle image, I wanted to do something simple, yet colorful and fun.

Unveling The Revolutionary Sphere Venue In Las Vegas
The most modern sphere in the world premiered on Friday, October 29, 2023, located at the Venetian Resort in Paradise, Nevada.
Speculations suggest that the cost of this futuristic venue is $2.4 billion, with a capacity for 18,000 people, with a height of 112 meters and a width of 157 meters. Its entire exterior is covered with 1.2 million LED screens, programmable to display a wide range of images. Hidden inside is a theater with a large LED screen.
The Irish band U2 directed the opening of the world's best stage, working closely with the whole team of visual and sound designers to create an amazing spectacle. Their performance amazed many musicians and Hollywood figures, including Sir Paul McCartney, Oprah Winfrey, Metallica's Lars Ulrich, among others.
The project was designed by Populous, an international architecture and design firm specializing in the planning and design of sports and entertainment facilities, as well as the design of events and live experiences. The company has been a pioneer in facility design with a focus on the spectator experience. It seeks to create spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically appealing, enhancing the overall experience of events. While the firm has excelled in sports facility design, it has also been involved in projects of various types, including convention centers, urban parks, and master developments.
Personally, I believe that the sphere has revolutionized and will mark the beginning of a new era in entertainment, not only in sports but also in music and cinema. It is a spectacular piece of modern art that will undoubtedly generate much discussion in the coming years.
