woke up like half a hour ago ran straight to my edits and started thinking of kuina n zoro💯

Kuina has been on my mind recently because she is like lowkey one of my favorite characters ngl and she was done so dirty she was literally set up by her father the ENTIRE time. He knew she could never be a swordsman but still let her do it and gain a passion for it he knew that she could never own the dojo but instead let her have a false sense of hope. All she wanted was to be the worlds greatest swordsmen(women I guess) she just wanted to be recognized for her effort and strength but she was never able to since her death🥀 hate the people that said she krilled herself or her father did it because you just missed the entire point of the story and why it was so significant for zoro(other then the fact that it was kuina that died)

I love them so much I had a dream about them last night and it made me cry ngl🥀🫩 Lore drop incominh

basically Kira(age like 8) moved to a dingy rural farm with her father after her mother decided to leave for another man. Before this she lived a pretty normal life they had only moved to this farm afterwards because the divorce settlement basically left her dad broke and their only choice was to live at this property he had inherited from his own late father💔 quickly Kira began to hate this new life style her barely had anytime to herself now that her had to start taking care of the farm animals and their crops though she never complained since she knew her father was already struggling to keep a roof over their heads one day her father asked her to go into town and try to start selling some of their extra produce since money had been especially tight that winter season as she began to walk into town she found a red headed girl struggling to pull her stubborn cow along the dirt road. This girl though determined seemed to have little to no idea what she was doing. Kira tried to ignore this girls clear struggle but realized that this could maybe be a business opportunity! If she were to help this girl maybe she would be grateful enough to buy her crops! With this new idea in mind she went up to the girl. This girl introduced herself as abrielle she explained she helps with families baking business which is why she isn’t as handy with actually physical farming labor and thanks Kira profusely. And abrielle even bought Kira’s crops for more then they were originally priced at! So each time Kira came into town the first place she would go would be abrielles since she knew she would be more then happy to buy some. Overtime she even began to look forward to going into town. This is also when her and her fathers farm was slowly coming out of debt and business started booming so naturally her dad was able to get employees and helpers so Kira’s position didn’t seem as vital and she was allowed more free time. With this free time she would spend it with abrielle. This was dangerous though, Kira started to realize that what she was feeling wasn’t JUST friendship but soemthing more abrielle could sense it to. And while life began to shift into a steady easy pace for Kira she always had a nagging feeling for more in her life. It ate at her constantly, she knew that though comfortable, the life she was living was not hers. When she mentioned this in a off handed comment to abrielle, abrielle flipped out on her. In abrielles mind this was Kira throwing away everything good she had, her father, the farm she worked so hard on, her friends, and well, her. She knew it was selfish but she didn’t care she thought that it was her and Kira against the world(corny I know🫩) but it was now obvious that in Kira’s mind it wast. After this fight Kira realized that it wasn’t just the fact that she wanted more out of her life but that she was scared, she was scared of messing up what she already had, she was scared that by staying her longer she might just accidentally make one wrong move and mess everything good she had. So the next most reasonable solution for Kira is to leave on her own terms. Atleast then she would have some sense of control when things turned to shit. She knew this would not just break abrielles but also her father’s. But she also couldn’t bear the thought of seeing his face when she told him what she was planning so instead she decided to leave without a word. So, at night she quietly packer her things and loaded it in her old beat up ford. As she left she had to drive through town and grab some quick food, while stocking up she noticed abrielle across the street, and from abrielles expression she had noticed Kira to. It must have been the way Kira looked at her because I moment they locked eyes abrielle knew what Kira was doing she dropped what she was holding to ran to Kira to try and hopefully knock some sense into her, but the moment abrielle got over their Kira was already running towards her truck slowly abrielle watched Kira drive off into the sunset

Anyways sorry for being a cornball. I just lowkey LVOE them

Fish man island is so underrated I fear it is the second best arc in the entire series I feel probably yap about this later but I could genuinely write a entire essay on fishman island it was lowk thought provoking and all people focus on us stupid sanji whenever anyone talks about it.🫩

FROBIN FROBIN FROBIN!!

they are so so cute guys I don’t normally ship anyone in one piece because I overall don’t care about shipping two characters together but when I do I get crazy over them I fear. Robin and franky are so cute it physically hurts me. They just make sense together when you think about it. When they first meet it is when Robin is basically selling herself out to the world gov because she sees her life as pointless, no one cares about her and the people that do die in the end. Franky is her first proof that this assumption is wrong he makes her realize the value that she holds while on the train to enies lobby. And this is the first time someone had ever truly explained her importance, not because she is worth so much berry, or because she is the only one who can read poneglyphs, but because she is a living breathing human. And overall that scene felt so intimate between the two of them. They both knew they were being sent to die there. And they knew they were the only two people in the world who held that much power in that moment so it made that scene feel so raw to watch. I don’t know how to even put it into words either way though I love FROBIN guys

Here to yap about the ballad of songbirds and snakes since I love it so much. I feel ashamed everytime but I fear my favorite movie/book from thg is songbird and snakes NO ONE UNDERSTANDSSS but it’s because I feel like it does something you normally don’t see in popular media that is so captivating to me. It displays a “relationship” if you can even call it that play out in front of us. They direct it to make it seem like love at first sight(also I am going to be mostly talking about the movie) that snow and Lucy meeting was something beautiful and that this was going to play out like how a romance movie would but to contrast this, they also show us the unequal power dynamic. How Lucy has seemingly no control over her own being while snow has the power to manipulate Lucy into who he wants. I also like how you truly have no idea how Lucy was feeling at any given point. I mean it’s even up for debate if she truly felt anything for snow or if she used him to propel herself forward in the game. I also really dislike when people say that sbas was made for snow apologists. If you say this then to me it’s a strong indicator that you are illiterate. Songbirds and snakes literally shows you the very opposite. We see snow faced with many difficult decisions that would change the course of his career. One being the morally sound and the other being the one he would benefit from(the immoral one) and over and over again he chooses the immoral one for his own selfish desires. Coleen literally put it in our face that snow is inherently a selfish person(wether you want to argue if he is inherently evil or was raised this way is up for debate) but that no matter what he choose the option that would help him and hurt others. Lucy gray also interests me greatly. I’m not even sure how to put it into words. There is someone thing about the fact that if it wasn’t for her and her role in thg that the present would look very different then how it does now, and combined with the fact that she has basically been completely erased from history is insane to me. How she somehow managed to haunt snow his entire life moving forward and that some of his most fundamental thoughts and ideals strive from Lucy gray is just unbelievable to me. Also im just now realizing that this can also be said for zoro and kuina. I think i might like a certain kind of trope..idk though guys

this is a rant I think maybe spoilers and also everything im about to say is probably not a original thought😬

ok so it PMO SO BAD when people say that zoro won’t fight women and their first example is tashigi… like guys. Lets have media literacy for like two seconds. This claim by its self literally goes against zoros entire backstory and the only reason they mention this idea is because tashigi THINKS zoro won’t fight her because of her OWN self consciousness(not saying she should) Like never has he once denied a fight because she is a woman. And the only reason he let tashigi go the first time was because of how much tashigi looked like and reminded him of kuina and if anything i feel that tashigis self consciousness about being a women in such a male dominated field just reminds zoro of kuina that much more.

Because of this I really REALLY want one of zoros last fight to be against tashigi, ik every powerscaler ever is already sending bomb threats to my house but the symbolism behind a fight like that would be INSANE. We already know that zoro is physically very capable, and that power wise he is (basically) unstoppable. But we also know that mentally zoro is stuck he is perpetually mourning the loss of kuina something he won’t let himself get over. He has a literal physical manifestion of this too, wado. And I think that the mental turmoil against tashigi would be sososooo interesting seeing him literally face one of the only people he “refuses” to fight.
