The reason I don't believe in therianthropy is because hm. Interesting how all of you are Cool Looking animals. Everyone is a wolf. Everyone is a husky. Everyone is a predator. Even dragon. Where are the fish. Where are the cockroaches. You can't all be wolves.

funny enough, i have the perfect post for you. this is a list made by @shyfoxsky of every submitted/observed kintype they’ve come across. it’s got everything from bison to beetles, wolverines to wasps, even a sea slug. it’s even got fish and cockroaches.

i think when people say stuff like “you can’t all be wolves” it’s just because you haven’t actually taken any time to look. the therian community is so vast. you can’t look at 8 people and then make a sweeping assumption about everyone else. at least, not an accurate one.

anyway. you don’t have to believe in therianthropy. nobody is forcing you. just be respectful, that’s all i care about

i don't know enough about ants to make a "top ten ants post" (i'm sorry. if i had time i'd do research! but i'm busy...) BUT!! i DO know enough about pokemon to make a top ten ant POKEMON post!!

#10 - Durant (The Iron Ant Pokemon)

i mean. just look at it! durant is SO COOL!! but what i REALLY love about durant is it's LORE.

durant's main predator is heatmor, an anteater pokemon, reflecting the relationship between ants and anteaters out here in the real world! HOWEVER! what's REALLY fun about durant's lore is that they became covered in steel in order to protect themselves from heatmor! according to pokemon black's pokedex entry:

They attack in groups, covering themselves in steel armor to protect themselves from Heatmor.

which, uh. is sort of an issue? since durant, a bug/ steel type, is DOUBLY weak to heatmor, a FIRE type. so, uh. whoops!

another really fun thing about durant, though, is it's hidden ability - truant! other than slakoth and slaking, durant is the only pokemon with access to the ability truant - and it's complete garbage! it only allows the pokemon to attack every other turn, which! is really bad! which makes it so funny as a hidden ability, as hidden abilities are. not easy to get? anyway XD

Door ants for @martyparty23 I thought it'd be cool to put the two different evolution of door head ant i knew of face to face ! One of my favorite ant sketch since I started. Army ant for ... A bunch of people ! A Major scaring of other ants that were threatening her sister ! I know some of you wanted a queen Army ant, maybe I'll get around to do it one day !

I was gone for a bit because classes started again, but also because I was putting too much pressure on me to do those ant charadesign that I really wanted to do. So I choose to only sketch them because I don't really like adding colors, this way they're out, they're done !

Saw a vid of someone being an asshole to a wasp (harassing it with a lighter) so I decided to make a more positive video about them in retaliation 💖 Reminder that wasps aren’t inherently any more aggressive than bees and the idea that they are is anthropomorphizing and projecting human emotions onto them.
