I was thinking that Yami Marik was born when Marik was 10 and disappeared when Marik was 16 or 17, so basically YamiMa was 6 or 7 years old.

So idea, a post canon where somehow the Yamis come back but YamiMa is only 7 years old, he's just a sad and angry boy who doesn't know how to deal with all the new emotions he has and Marik has to take responsibility for him because he's the only one YamiMa trusts.

So now Marik understands how YamiMa felt all the time and understands that his dark half just wanted to protect him but he couldn't figure out how because of all the negative emotions that Marik sent him unconsciously.

I don't know if there would be any shipping but I imagine YamiMa throws tantrums because Marik doesn't pay enough attention to him and Marik's partner, depending on who it is, has to earn YamiMa's trust.

Text each other 'good morning' 'good evening' 'good night' 'happy birthday' 'happy new years' 'merry Christmas' etc, etc

Ask how the others doing

Even if they act 'normal', Yuugi and TKB would be so internally gooey for one another. Like... Yuugi loves to watch Bakura in the mornings; he's so sleep-rumpled and soft, pattering around the house in nothing but his socks and boxer shorts. The sun kisses his bronzed skin, and his hair almost glitters in the morning light. Bakura also hums to himself when he's relaxed. Yuugi doesn't recognize the song, but he suspects it's something he learned from his family that he fought tooth-and-nail to keep in his memory. He loves Bakura's voice; his humming and laughter fill his heart until it's overflowing, and he uses the overflow to comfort himself when they have to be apart. Yuugi'll gently wrap his arms around Bakura's waist from behind and press little kisses to his back. He loves this man that he's found himself with, and he'll do anything to protect this quiet that they've found together. Meanwhile... Bakura loves to watch Yuugi whenever he does anything. He likes studying the way his mouth moves when he's thinking through a problem and the way his fingers flutter around every task or game like he's casting some kind of spell. He finds Yuugi's eyes more beautiful than any jewel, and will find any excuse to stare into them. He also just...loves the way their bodies fit together. Yuugi is shorter than him, but it's like the two of them are puzzle pieces, and when they cuddle in bed or on the couch or on a bench to keep warm during a frigid winter, he starts to understand what his father meant when he said that finding the One For Him is like finding the other half of your soul that you didn't know was missing. Yuugi is happiness. Yuugi is peace. Yuugi is the salvation he's found in this life, and he'll never take him for granted.
