About Dr. Bartels

Dr. Bartels attended Arkansas State University, where he earned a bachelor's of science degree in zoology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Louisiana State University.

Dr. Bartels is a dental advisor on the Northeast Arkansas Kids Count Coalition, and he is also on the Board of Directors at St. Bernard’s Hospice and a staff member of St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. Dr. Bartels was voted “Best of the Best” by Occasions Magazine and KAIT8 television viewers. He received an award for many years of volunteer service to the Women’s Crisis Center of Northeast Arkansas in 2014, as well as the “Outstanding Young Dentist in Arkansas” award by the Arkansas Dental Association in 2002. He was selected for the General Dentistry Residency Program in New Orleans in 1995.

Dr. Bartels is passionate about using the latest technology to improve the comfort and quality of dentistry for his patients and their families.

He and his wife, Martha, have been married for twenty-five years. They have three children, Will, Walker, and Caroline. As a family, they enjoy watching Red Wolves football, hiking in national parks, playing sports, and watching old sitcom reruns! They also attend Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Dr. Bartels constantly looks for ways to make treatment easier, more successful, and more efficient for our patients, so we implement the latest technology such as digital imaging, as well as the latest techniques for procedures like root canals to provide a higher level of care for our patients. We also seek continuing education and the latest information to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to your health.

That said, we never allow technology to come between our patients and us. We still believe in getting to know each one of you so that we can treat you the way you want to be treated. We encourage you to ask questions, and we promise to keep you informed about your oral health every step of the way. We believe this philosophy builds trust and allows us to provide a higher level of service.
