USA University Week

The annual University Week of the University of San Agustin is fast approaching. So here's some information of the possible activities will be conducted for the whole week of celebration.

The celebration will start on febuary 26, 2019 which the foot parade will be conducted in the afternoon held at USA field where the representatives and organizations of each department will participates.

It will be followed by a rock and roll night for the students as the "PASIKLABAND" will start where the aspiring musicians of each department will compete. This event will be held at the grandstand behind alumni hall.

The next day febuary 27, 2019 the dance floor is ready to be conquered of the representative of each department. Who will be the next USA best drance crew?

The following day febuary 28, 2019 is the most beautiful day of the University of San Agustin because this is the main highlight of the university week. Because the most awaited "MR. AND MS. USA" will happen, where the outstanding students will showcase their beauty and brain most especially thier advocacy, the most important criteria of the pageant.

Febuary 29, 2019 last day of the week long celebration. "SALO-SALO" will be conducted in the morning where the students were given a chanse to participate by bringing their food as a section. This activity promotes unity of the students in each section. By the night to formally end the University week celebration let us all witness the much anticipated "TGIF" it will showcase the creativity, design and work of art of the agustinian designers. This event will serve as opportunity to them to notice how glamorous their works.

Why I choose College of Commerce?

College of Commerce is one of the Leading Department at University of San Agustin not only in the acadamics but also in the extra curricular activities and achievements. It is a perfect venue for the business minded students. I listed down the top 3 reasons why I choose this department.

1. Business Administration is my number 1 choice course in college.

I believe that the program offers in the college of commerce especialy in the field of marketing helps me to improve my skills, my knowledge in the business and enhance my communication skills as what I wanted to be in the future. They have this event where the marketing students gathered together to showcase their talents and skills by creating your own product and how will you advetise it. We are also given a chanse to make a advertisement of some of the company here in Iloilo, this event are called "Product fest" and "Ad fest". By this event you can learn a lot of things and ideas from your fellow marketing students to prepare us to face the real world when were going to graduate in the future.

2. PAASCU Level II Acredited

College of Commerce passed the PAASCU Level II Acreditation.

PAASCU stands for Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities. The survey forms developed by PAASCU identify principles and practices which are found in excellent institutions.  The statements in the survey forms are more qualitative rather than quantitative. The Association does not have specific formulas to apply or particular patterns of organization to follow.  The criteria and survey instruments are merely tools to help the school measure educational quality.  They are intended to serve as a guide for institutions as they strive for excellence and for accreditors as they assess institutional achievement.

The standards reflect a realistic appraisal of the school’s resources and their efficient utilization to help the institution achieve its goals.

The Department manage to comply the PAASCU requirements the faculty of the department already have masteral and doctoral degree. The academic programs meets the standard of quality education.

3. Comfortable and Safe

In terms of safty of the students the department never fails to provide a CCTV cameras, signage of fire exit and fire estinguirsher to control fire incase of emergency situation. The classrooms of the building are comfortable it is fully airconditioned, has a glassboard and TV monitor if the students and faculty has a presentation.

Inspirational Blog

College of Commerce is one of the leading department at the University of San Agustin. I choose this department to pursue my dream to become a successful Manager/Business Man someday. There's part of the building of College of Commerce inspire me strive hard on my study.

"Classroom", Classroom is considered as a second home of every students like me, where we gather together to share learnings, where the faculties teaches us not only in academics but also a good attitude and to do good. Classroom also is the place where you meet other people who are part of our college journey and they are called "Friends".

My friends serves also as one of my motivation to achieve my goals in life, they are always there behind my back when I need them the most, they always support me and guide me to the right path. Thats how important the classroom and my friends to me.

Personal Blog

Today i decided to blog about my personal life. Incase you are wondering i am just sitting in my bed as I write this blog.

Before anything else let me introduce my self, I am Jan Anthony Melocoton 20 years old. I live in Brgy. San Nicolas Oton Iloilo i am currently studying at University of San Agustin taking up bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management.

We are 8 in the family 5 are boys including me and 3 are girls. But since I was a child my Aunt and my uncle take me to their house to send me to school and suppprt my school needs. My life with my aunt and uncle I can say that we are in the middle class in the society.

These beautiful people are my aunt and uncle. I am so very thankful to god for having them in my life and also I am so very thankful to my aunt and uncle for treating me as their own child, for taking care of me and for supporting my needs and wants in terms of financial and moral support without expecting in return. They always told me finish my school to help my parents and my younger siblings someday. Saying thankyou is not enough how thankful I am to them.

And to my parents for raising my siblings as a good and loving people even if we have financial problem. You guys taught us how important the education is. Thankyou so much mama papa.
