Bilbo didn't even know Thorin for barely a year but he already decided to protect him at all cost and don't want to be separated from him. That one scene when Smaug go after them in Erebor and Balin found a secret door for hiding but Thorin can't hear that so Bilbo must screams to call him but it's too late bcs Smaug already seen them, Thorin was like "follow Balin!" and Bilbo was hesitated for a moment then slightly "Thorin...." when Balin dragged him to hiding

i literally just asked you if you listen to those subcultures music, nothing wrong with liking multiple genres, my friend! i do too, but the fact that you read asking you that as "confining you to an AESTHETIC" is exactly what I meant, goth and punk are not about politics only but also music, we are such a broad and beautiful culture and watering down the terms to "aesthetic" and telling goths that are trying to protect our subculture we are confining ppl and "not punk" is not 😭 please inform yourself to what we are, im not punk but goth, so if you want some recs i could give you my favorite bands! hope this doesn't sound mean, i just don't want the words to lost more meaning that we already did, it hurted the community enough already/nm

totally did not mean to make it seem like i took it as you specifically confining me to an aesthetic and sounding defensive i am so sorry (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) i need to work on explaining things better I'm trying my best.

I just got all introspective last night because i was reminded of those who DID try to confine me, not you my guy and definitely not the culture as a whole. I feel that those who did try to confine me so fiercely in the past lost the meaning behind these subcultures which are supposed to be full of acceptance and understanding.

I agree it's something to protect and i understand why you asked and wanted to know if i was deeper in the community. Seeing as it is a music heavy subculture and they have an important role in helping people define who they are and express themselves! Especially those like myself who find them othered by people for so many reasons.

As for the song recommendations I'd LOVE some. i admittedly have a lack of friends and i dont have a social media outside of tumblr (does youtube count????) soooo coming across gothic recommendations are few and far between cause of my interests qwq.

Feel free to DM? idk if i have them open if I don't send another ask! I'm also planning on a haircut soon (currently medium length) so if you have some recommendations of any cool gothic hair styles I'd love to see those! Having a hard time putting together what i want and i haven't done anything beyond a fauxhawk wolf cut mix which i had for a few years lmao.

Sorry if i twisted up how i felt about the ask, genuinely liked thinking about how far I've come. Thought it was a bit funny hearing a question like that after so long but i understand why you'd ask. Even if i hadn't had any of those bands in my listened to i know you would have recommended some!
