i mean to be clear i think we can all agree it is bad when civilians die. however the israeli state's policies as a settler-colonial genocidal project means that for decades it has been constructing a situation where it is impossible for palestinians to fight back against daily brutal violence without israeli civilians being caught in the crossfire so i think if you are upset about those deaths you should take it up with the government that built cities and invited settlers onto recently stolen land and then committed indiscriminate massacres against the people it was stolen from for decades. but of course most of the people handwringing about israeli civilians are not actually concerned with human life--or if they are, not with a worldview that recognizes palestinians as human

what about the children murdered in their home on a holiday morning, and my friend hiding in a shelter because there are people in the streets killing and taking hostages?
if they reach me they will kill me, just like they kill any other israeli jew. if thats their liberation, what are we supposed to do?
That is an occupational hazard of living on ethnically-cleansed stolen land; what do you think the process of driving Palestinians off that land in the first place looked like? Do you think they stopped during 3id al-Fitr? For Ashura? Israeli extremists break in to the al-Aqsa compound every Ramadhaan in an attempt to humiliate the ordinary Palestinian and denigrate their spiritual life and you have the audacity to act like Israelis are the victims here? Every 3id the IDF drops bombs on Gaza, how do you think the Gazans feel about that? Get out of my face with this fucking bullshit all power to the Palestinian resistance.

really love all the posts like "you retar- I mean socially maladjusted degenerate braindamaged idiots are so fucking sensitive calling everything 'ableism' lmfao.. goo goo ga ga unable to form a coherent thought drool rolling down your chin how does anyone in your life tolerate you you literal infant whiny baby waste of space you call yourself 'disabled' but actually you're just a pathetic lazy loser who doesn't know how to be normal because you've never put an ounce of thought or effort into anything in your life you just want to be coddled so you whine 'ableism' about everything throwing a tantrum because you have the mental age of a particularly stupid toddler but actually not everything in the world exists for you some things just aren't meant for you you don't need to 'access' everything and if you can't 'access' something it's actually just your own fault so stop complaining and demanding people coddle and cater to you shut the fuck up about 'accessibility' or 'image descriptions' or 'trigger warnings' or whatever you're so fucking braindead how are you even still breathing I hope you overreact to something so hard it fries the single struggling brain cell you have left and spares everyone else from having to deal with you"
very cool keep up the great work everyone

really funny how some people expect you to believe that they give a single shit about disabled people when they cannot even be bothered to wear a mask lol

Y’know, I’ve never once been harassed for wearing a mask in public. And I don’t live in some liberal utopia where most people are still masking - I live in a purple-leaning-red suburb in a red-leaning state where I’m often the only person wearing a mask in whatever building I’m in. But nobody even looks at me funny. I certainly believe people who have been harassed, but I wonder how widespread it actually is. So here is a poll:
If you want, put your answer and country/state in the tags.

accessibility tip for neocities webmasters: test your site using a screen reader!
it’s always important to consider the visitors of your site that rely on screen readers. i’ve found that using one for testing helps out a lot. i use nvda! it’s free and works really well
when you test, make sure to check out how everything flows using keyboard navigation! MANY disabled users rely on keyboard navigation to interact with websites!!
screen reader testing makes a huge difference. if you take the time to do it, you’re contributing to the creation of a more accessible and welcoming neocities community 🔥
