the last but definitely not the least of my favorite photographers is Marijke Vervoort. the reason why i chose her is first of all because i really like her pictures and this is a sort of way to let people know of what she is capable of as a photographer and the second reason is maybe because she is my girlfriend and i am just so proud of her and of what she has already achieved.

this image is based on the work of Rinus Van de Velde, the carton and charcoal really cooperate and in the photo. the model is placed well so she fits in the whole picture with the carton and the messy place and stuff.

this images tells us a lot, i know what her story is behind this powerful shot but i guess if you don’t you can read it so many different ways. that is why i think this is such an inspiring shot and it could really be used as a front page image for a magazine!

this image is so nice and cool to watch. you  can really feel the motion go through the whole photograph even tho it is a stiff image. the motion of the hand through the tall grass gives life and feeling to the whole image.

the white is so bright in the photograph so we have to look at those two objects. the collaboration between the wooden table and the clay objects is so peaceful to watch.

the eye is very clear, the pupil is so beautiful lighted that it really reflects the colors the way they are in real life. the focus is well placed and the area around it isn’t to blurry so it still feels natural.

Stefan Vanfleteren is a Belgian photographer who has achieved a lot. his portraits inspire me the most because they’re so wonderful to see and i just can’t stop watching at them. i went to his expo in the Antwerp FOMU and i really liked it.

A pure photograph of the Belgian artist Paul Van Haver, better known as Stromae. the use of black and white here gives more value to the image. the light and shadow on his face give a field of dept in the photo which creates a dynamic view.

Next portrait is of Mads Mikkelsen, we now him for his role in the Star Wars saga as Galen Erso. this portrait was also made in Cannes and I like the fact that he doesn’t make the same shot with every singel person, no he takes his time to create his own scene every time again. the colors give it a sensible feeling like the person in shy or sad and that’s because of his use of lights! Great image i think!

Joaquin Phoenix, this portrait is made during the film festival in Cannes.the photo is very detailed and wonderful to see. You can almost feel the person though the screen.

Here we see Rinus Van de Velde, a Belgian artist who prefers to work with charcoal and paper/carton. Those characteristics can be felt in this image, we feel the pureness and yet the hardness and roughness of the way Rinus likes to work.

in the picture we see a famous Belgian football player named Axel Witsel. What I like about this photograph is the fact that he works in black and white but yet all his works are full of life and dynamic even tho they don’t contain any colors. The personality of this character comes to its point in this photograph and that is what an image should do!

Axel was a friend of my and his photo’s always impressed me and that was the reason why I would discuss him as one of my favorite photographers. He is only 20 years old but still he can make such awesome shots. He started photography as a hobby but yet he has made it to BMW and Hyundai repost and colaborations.

The thing I like the most about this picture is the way he editted it afterwards. You clearly see it is massivly editted but it doesn’t bother me either, it’s well done and I think it gives a value to this wonderfull image. Photography isn’t only taking a shot and deliver it purely to the customer, photo editting and the use of lightroom and photoshop is also a part of the photographers workflow.

I am going to descripe this one really short, it’s a great shot and it really could be used for commercial ends. He should get paid for this one!
