some headcanon shenanigans below bc i did not expect to love this show as much as i did. and then i did.

ok ok im throwing my take into the ring: patrick is more ticklish than david but you wouldn't know that from david's reactions. david screams. category 7 flailing event. several dead, patrick wounded

ok so canonically david and patrick are always exchanging these soft little touches but david's are very. hm. wiggly little fingers and squeezes. so i'm thinking about david with a mischievous streak now. david comes up behind patrick while he's reshelving and squeezes his waist every time he reaches up

i think patrick is ticklish in unconventional places and is mildly embarrassed by it? like his face, his ankles, etc. but david is so taken with it. he'll try to hide his face and david is personally offended like?? give me your face back i was looking at it

there's a secret cut of the cabaret episode where stevie's trying to help patrick with his makeup and he's giggling and twitching like "do NOT tell david...stevie don't--" and well. yknow when stevie does her evil little smiles? that promise is not upheld <3

when they need to be at the store early and david absolutely refuses to leave bed, patrick will give him like. a warning period of time. patrick will fully get ready, make breakfast, etc, and if david is still in bed? patrick will crawl back into bed under the guise of being sweet and then tickle the living daylights out of david

i really love the idea that patrick finds out david's ticklish because stevie comes into the apothecary and just. volunteers the information. david's screeching in betrayal and patrick's yelling over him to thank her

patrick's competitive streak is impossible. david will tickle him to win an argument or something and then the next morning patrick is looming over him with villainy in his eyes

under the right conditions, david will giggle and patrick will snort

ok but re: competitive streak....patrick encourages this feral sort of competition in david (like the escape room episode or the baseball one). patrick likes roughhousing and wrestling and david does Not. but then patrick gets cheeky in an argument and all of sudden david's pulling WWE moves?? and this becomes part of their life

i like to think they get to a point where they're comfy making lighthearted breakup/divorce jokes without it ever being taken seriously. anyways stevie comes into the store one day and david announces that they're getting divorced. stevie's like "did patrick tickle you" and then patrick emerges from the back with a black eye and a goofy smile, thus answering her question.

david had resorted to nonchalantly rubbing his fiancé’s socked feet as he scrolled through meaningless news articles on his phone. he looked up from the screen. “everything okay? is that stick wound still there? it’s been like two weeks,” he felt around curiously, pulling up his sock to check and scraping his blunt nails along the other’s sole in the process.

“no — no, it’s not that,” he choked out through a small giggle, soon before paling at the unmistakably evil glint in david’s eye. a very fun fact about patrick was revealed that day.

If marriage came with so many mornings of soft kisses and sunlight, he would take the ones of tickle attacks instead of alarm clocks, arms clamped to his side as David insisted they not waste the one beautiful day in a streak of rainy ones.

Patrick buried his face in the pillow beneath his head, trying for once to keep David from gaining the upper hand so easy despite the belly laughter already fighting its way through.

his laugh is usually pretty wheezy n quiet but OCCASIONALLY he’ll let out the highest-pitched CACKLE 

and he gets so embarrassed about it that he hides his face however he can (usually rolling and twisting his neck around so he can bury his face somewhere so he can still attempt to fend off the tickles) no this is totally not me projecting >////<

he would never admit it but his hips are so ticklish that he sometimes gets ticklish during ~sexy times~ if someone touches his hips,,,, stevie found this out and has never let him live it down, therefore neither has patrick
