Left, is line-based design it is a fence from my backyard. The lines go in one direction with even thickness. The weight of the wood planks are thick making a negative space in between. Right, is a point-based design, it is a towel. The composition is consistent there is no spacing.

I am new to “sketch noting”. The most challenging thing would be to articulate what I am hearing into pictures and trying to include all the information. The first picture is the first round of sketch noting from Giorgia Lupi’s TED Talk and the second image is my second round of sketch noting. Second time around was easier than the first because I had already heard the information.

This photo is a still from Nadia Lee Cohen’s music video for A$AP Rocky’s song “Babushka Boy”. To me it appeals to visual literacy in many ways. The first thing I noticed was that the “ACAB” or “cops are pigs” sayings are taken literally and I think that message is not subtle and speaks volumes. It is a political statement. The way their faces are transformed looks very realistic. They have uncertainty written on their faces and their “guns” are very small and comical. The setting makes it appear that they're on seen. The image creates an action story that one is intrigued to finish.
