i'm thinking about her.
ran out of tags again omg but i was saying i love the idea of her looking less human and more like her natural self. greyed skin and long sharp fingernails, mouth of sharp teeth, wild-eyed and blood-soaked. i was also saying. before tumblr deleted them. that idk maybe in that time she's plaguing the town she has a mortal female lover she draws strength from. you know? yeah.
#i have so many rambling thoughts about her and most of them are with regards to her timeline ...#she's bce. the tuatha de dannan invaded ireland from the heavens in 1800s bce (before common era/before christ).#so she's olddd. she's descended from tuathe de dannan. but roisin is bce. she was there for cath maige tuired -#the two separate battles of the tuatha de dannan and when they took ireland from the fir bolg.#so she's just Old. and once they settled and spread into the otherworld beneath the land the leannan sidhe would have taken places amongst#mortal congregations within their desire to be loved and obsessed over. thus how she finds herself called to talented mortals.#thought a lot abt this and i think like remmick of sinners she cld def have a sense and sight for music/poetry/creativity of the era#and location and finds herself drawn towards it. the way remmick saw club juke had me in a chokehold. seeing through the walls. peak cinema#but yeah like. she is drawn to these areas she moves her castle there and she seeks them out. or awaits them to come to her.#people dont mistake her for a mortal like she's ethereally beautiful and being a being of wilful change -#i think this is less her changing to suit someone and moreso them seeing what they Want to see. her form changes little but you get me.#i hope you get me.#anyway for a time she would have been stuck/enslaved by a man who knew how to entrap her by hearing myth of her charm#and the intentions of these otherworldly beings. he's a wealthy poet trying to get in good with the king of the time.#uses her in less than savoury ways to gain this inspiration. gets in where he wants to be and then parades her.#well. people seeing her and hearing her speak - with the same cadence as his poetry#and the way she looks. they think she's a witch or demon and swear to have her killed. they burn her castle (wherein they were residing) an#destroy all the works she'd claimed over the years. the man in attempt to keep her takes a fatal blow meant for her and dies.#yipee! now she's free to wreak HAVOC. and that she does immediately after draining the nearest body to her#now. this is where it gets :( bcs. taking insp from that one amanda seyfried red riding hood movie.#she PLAGUES this town in the same fashion the wolf did. kills their fathers. kills their sons. kills anyone they dare to send#after her. lures them out with her own whining song <3#it becomes a little bit of a problem for the tuatha de dannan i imagine as she's becoming something of a vengeful spirit as#opposed to her natural being but. female rage amirite.#imagining the walls and the precautions and the hunts. mmm. mmm. she is eventually#Stopped. by something. by her own people. who knows. i have rambling thoughts i cannot always finish at the current time im having them i#just think she deserves to be a little vengeful for a period of time. deserves to slaughter.#imagining her being able to lure with a song of her own that excites those in need of the inspiration ... yauurrr.#most definitely her capture by that person is ad. and after catholicism is brought to ireland. bcs more lessons in#resisting temptation and not being ensnared by the devil. of which people would definitely see her as.

you should have told me all of this from the beginning.
beyond the walls of the castle where lingered pitchforks and stoked fires amongst heavy mist, now lies only soil and blood. good, she thinks. that'll teach you, but the victory is short lived as scolding sounds behind her and echoes within stone walls. before she turns, lips purse and then slip with ease into a thankful, supposedly meek smile, still playing the damsel even as she blinks up at her saviour, clad in blood - soaked armour (and from humans she'd come to despise more than most, it reeks) and casting down her gaze. “ would you have still come if i did ? ” russet strands brought over her shoulder, deft fingers twirling it into a loose braid and then untangling it again, again.
“ i don't see how i could have made it sound any better in writing. dear darling striga, so sorry i can't join you in the war effort, believe me that there is nowhere i'd rather be than surrounded by human bloodshed, ” hand waving, brow arching in her direction with a vague gesture to the mess made on her floor. “ but a bastard witch pissed on my sigils and sent an army of every man unsound of mind in almost the entire country --- which is all of them, might i add --- to my gates and i await my imminent demise. please help, signed róisín. ” the narrowing of emerald hues, her dead stare encompassing her displeasure for the last weeks of solitude. “ they'd already taken eibhlín, so maybe you'd have thought i was more hassle than i'm worth ? oh, don't look at me like that. so what if i left out a few details ? it's done now, i'm forever grateful and indebted to you for eternity, and we can leave. ”

the last olympian by rick riordan sentence starters.
i know the timing is bad. but it's always bad for you, isn't it?
is he giving you a hard time?
i'm glad you're not dead.
her pride has been wounded. she'll calm down eventually.
what do you want me to say?
you run away from things when you're scared.
you're a coward.
you are better off without that traitor.
you can't prevent a prophecy.
you have your father's eyes.
promise me you'll be safe.
is that why you're here - to warn me against going?
thanks for not freaking out.
i can't do it without you.
please. it would mean a lot. for old times' sake?
excuse me, but if you're going to kill me, could you just get on with it?
well, this one has an attitude.
and why should i trust you?
we have to get out of here.
you're not getting away from me that easily.
you mean you don't trust me anymore.
you're the only person who might be able to get him to listen.
you're looking at me funny.
we could use a fighter like you.
you're a part of our family now. and i promise i won't let anything hurt you.
i'm not going to fail you like our families did us.
i promise everything will be okay. nothing's going to hurt you.
you should've left that subject alone.
you should've saved him when you had the chance. you're the only one who could have.
i bet my adventures were more dangerous than yours.
i don't want anything to happen to you.
don't i get a kiss for good luck? it's kind of a tradition, right?
you're cute when you're worried.
you are not going to die while i owe you a favor.
why did you take that knife?
you would've done the same for me.
you don't know my family. please, i can't lose you.
all i want is respect.
you don't love me.
what's going to happen to me?
if you love me, tell me.
i was just about to wake you.
i always mess things up.
that's what i do. i help my friends.
you stupid aphrodite girl.
you're not dying.
well... sure good to be together again. arguing. almost dying. abject terror.
you've done enough. i want you to stay here and help with the wounded.
you're not going to do anything stupid, are you?
do you love death so much you wish to experience it?
you have to trust me.
you promised.
you always pushed yourself too hard.
did you love me?
you got something to say to me?
you're laughing at me.
you are so not making this easy.
i am never, ever going to make things easy for you. get used to it.
oh, come on. is there no privacy?
you are so going to lose.

MONSTER YOU CREATED ,
a sentence starter prompts list comprised of quotes from arcane season 1. please be advised that this list may involve topics including, but not limited to violence. change verbiage as needed.
we're not gonna get caught. we'll be in and out before anyone notices.
thought last time was the last time we were gonna do this.
you could fill a damn library with all the things you didn't do.
a bit of advice. don't threaten the guy who pours the drinks.
when people look up to you, you don't get to be selfish.
you're gonna have to lay low for a bit, understand?
those who did this will be dealt with.
i ruined everything. i always do.
you have to believe me. i didn't do this.
i do love a good conundrum.
no great science should ever put lives in danger.
i believe i've discovered something truly incredible.
we look out for each other. it's the way it's always been.
all i see is a child meddling with things they don't understand.
i was trying to create magic.
arcane talents are something you're born with. they can't be fabricated.
you don't understand what's at stake, but how can you? that's a burden that only i carry.
if dangerous ideas didn't excite the imagination, we would never wander astray.
there's a monster inside all of us.
you're just a small man in a little hole the world forgot to bury.
i know you wanna hurt the topsiders for what they've done to us, but who are you willing to lose?
i saw it with my own eyes what magic can do, the lives it could save. you've no idea how beautiful it is.
when you're going to change the world, don't ask for permission.
what makes you different makes you strong.
you'll oblige a doomed man one last smoke, won't you?
you never did know when to walk away.
what have you done? this wasn't the deal!
you'll get people killed. for what? pride?
oh, i hated you for what you'd done, but as time passed, so did my hate. and i was left with an understanding.
the only way to defeat a superior enemy is to stop at nothing to become what they fear.
you'll die for the cause, but you won't fight for one?
willing to risk exile for your endeavor. that's quite the conviction.
wait a minute, this isn't my bedroom.
another late night. the work just doesn't end.
you were supposed to guard the cargo.
it was your job to make sure things went smoothly. you failed. don't disappoint me again.
do you have any idea what you've done?
how do you intend to prove any of this?
did my parents pay you to let me win?
i don't need favors. i need you to do your job.
you've just made yourself everyone's common enemy.
that place looks like it has bodies buried in the basement.
you're a symbol of the future now, whether you like it or not.
how can i say no to such an auspicious offer.
if you really want people to talk to you, you have to let them think you have what they want.
what is truth, but a survivor's story?
if i'm discovered, we're both finished.
are you headed home soon? i thought we could walk together.
betrayal, that pain that feels like it'll eat you from the inside out, can either break you or forge you into something greater.
loneliness is often the byproduct of a gifted mind.
do you contemplate death?
it's a sad truth that those who shine brightest often burn fastest.
i hate feeling so useless.
i know you have your reservations about me, but this only works if we can trust each other.
i just... want to feel what it was like... to be somebody. to make other people afraid.
how many problems can one girl cause?
you can fire that thing if you want, but i'm not going anywhere.
i'm not going to abandon you again.
i knew it was a mistake trusting you.
you look good for a dead girl.
that was a long time ago. people change.
nature has made us intolerant to change, but fortunately, we have the capacity to change our nature.
i know the look of a doomed man.
love and legacy are the sacrifices we make for progress.
i should have been there. for you. for everyone.
we came from a world where there was never enough to go around. that's why we fight. do you remember?
who found you? who cared for you? gave you a home?
i am your family. everyone else betrays us.
i'm only asking you to prepare to defend your people.
i'm worried i have to do something i never thought i would.
if you want to last in this world, you must learn to be both the fox and the wolf.
you'd give me a throne?
i'll give you the world if you prove you can take it.
sometimes, death is a mercy.
every time i think you can't get dumber, you dig a new low.
ego is one thing, brain is another.
weapons can't be unmade and they are always used.
that looks like more than a sprain. you need medical attention.
you have the passion of youth.
oil and water. wasn't meant to be.
we got a deal, pretty boy?
you've always been a part of this. you just never had to look it in the eye.
you really are fond of him.
i wanted to protect the city from people like you.
i can't believe you'd start a war just to cover your ass.
i would set the world ablaze to protect our family.
we lost ourselves. lost our dream. in the pursuit of great, we failed to do good. we have to make it right.
i'm trying to save you from annihilation.
i can't make a deal with a snake and cut off its head. we both have our shitty parts to play.
you'd be surprised what you can pull off when your life depends on it.
it's not enough to give people what they need to survive. you have to give them what they need to live.
is there anything so undoing as a daughter?
nothing ever stays dead.
the only thing that kept me going was the thought of getting back to you.
you're my daughter. i'll never forsake you.
remember who you are! i know you remember!
don't cry. you're perfect.
i thought maybe you could love me like you used to. even though i'm... different. but you changed too.

ONE OUT OF MANY ,
a sentence starter prompts list comprised of quotes from the novel the will of the many by james islington. please be advised that this list may involve topics including, but not limited to death, violence, and religion. change verbiage as needed.
watch your step. it gets slippery down here.
so what is it all for? debts? a woman? some vice that you cannot bring yourself to give up?
i know it’s not in your nature, but if you’re ever going to swallow your pride, tonight’s the night.
i’d have thought twice about coming out here if i’d realized my opponent was such a coward!
chain your anger in the dark and it will only thrive.
i wasn’t trying to kill him.
i think you’re so used to resisting, you don’t know how not to.
sometimes bullies are better off with the truth, no matter how unpleasant.
a ladder should not be climbed from the shoulders of others.
you’re placing a lot of faith in the abilities of someone you’ve just met.
conviction is admirable, but it can only take a man so far.
what i want to know is what are you punishing yourself for?
they killed your family. stole your home. don’t you want to do something about it?
this is my best chance at finding something approaching a normal life.
you only have this chance because of me, and you seem to be under the mistaken impression that this is some kind of offer.
you can still back out, but this is your last chance to do it. is this opportunity worth it? is it worth your life?
it’s hard when the lies that let you sleep are so cruelly laid bare.
you’re welcome to rest and eat before you go.
if i believed in the gods, i would say they led me to you.
there is always something more to lose.
i can hate without it coming to violence.
hate is its own violence. your choice is whether to let it hurt them, or you.
i have come to bring a reckoning for your decisions. your weakness. your blindness and cowardice and complicity.
silence is a statement. inaction picks a side. and when those lead to personal benefit, they are complicity.
you should have told me all of this from the beginning
if there is something you should be telling me, i assume you will.
you’re brighter than most—but bright doesn’t mean brave, or caring, or heroic. more often, it means the opposite.
a man will always wonder what might have been, but a wise one recognizes fortune when it comes.
how could you not resent them for what they took from you?
there comes a point in every man’s life where he can rail against the unfairness of the world until he loses, or he can do his best in it. remain a victim, or become a survivor.
there can be no love without honesty.
there are more measured approaches to justice than punching.
just because you are good at something does not make others bad at it.
whether the obstacles to our advancement arise from our ties or our actions, we need to learn to overcome ourselves. it’s not fair, but nor is the world.
a fair system only works if there’s an unbiased means of assessing merit, which means that fair systems cannot exist where people are involved.
sometimes, i’m not sure there’s anything of the real me left anymore.
there are those who see what should be, and complain that they do not get their due. and then there are those who see what is, and figure out how to use it to their advantage.
you’re not planning to kill me, then.
a cut’s only worth it if there’s poison on the blade.
we do not have to be enemies.
if all you’re trying to do is change who’s in control, then you don’t really want to change anything.
you cannot be free if you are afraid to die.
be safe, and for the love of all the gods, don’t get caught.
i am just trying to remember the last time i so vastly overestimated someone’s intelligence.
you have a reputation as a killer.
in this place
each man has to find his line. has to find it ahead of time, and be resolved never to cross it.
don’t mistake inaction for neutrality.
violence is no answer to grief.
there’s being brave, and then there’s throwing your life away.
what do you believe makes a good ruler?
don’t equate having less heart with more intelligence.
not pleasant, seeing your trust betrayed, is it?
remind me to never get on your bad side. i have no idea how i’m going to repay this.
you’re so mysterious and unpredictable.
i want you to know that you are my friend. that you have my full trust.
i envy you, you know. your capacity to do that. to trust like that.
you rotting, fetid coward.
i’m going to make sure you burn for this.
death is only meaningless if it does not change us.

anyway. remmick of sinners interested me when thinking about this chara in the sense that she too is drawn to music and culture. which is why i thought remmick could have been aoi si or tuatha de dannan at least and less vampire ... more ancient druid that was displaced from his home in the otherworld and unable to return, hence why he said he's looking for a way to access that otherworld through sammie's music.

hey ... smirks. short bio below. i say short but it isn't but i hope this is a good enough overview of darling roisin for now
name. róisín madalín o'h-eana ( roh-sheen magdalene oh-heah-nee ) birthplace. tír tairngire, the land of the promised --- the otherworld, accessible through burial mounds, across the sea, through thick mists --- below or adjacent to the area of drogheda, county louth in ireland. age. unknown. gender. female presenting, though can change in shape prefers the female form and does not stray from this unless necessary. like for instance, when being a man has its safety benefits! sexuality. lesbian --- has had "relationships" with men in the past but none that were sexual, the men too infatuated by her that they did not notice that "need" going ignored. she mostly preys on men. has loved many women in her time, fleeting as such that mortal lives are, though some of her prey have been talented women. residence. tír tairngire, modern earth (as it changes and evolves) species. leannån sídhe ( l-hian-nan shee ) --- aos sí, folk of the sí ( eess shee ), descending from the tuatha dé danann ( too-ah dae danan ) (deities of pre-catholic gaelic ireland) --- a supernatural race of fae similar to elves, in modern times more aligned with representations of vampirism but not to be confused.
ecology. leannĂĄn sĂdhe are fae creatures of vibrant beauty, full of life. shapechangers that can alter their form to better suit the eyes of their prey. beings of neutrality, neither good nor evil and acting only to their nature. acting as muses among other aos sĂ and mortals alike, a leannĂĄn sĂdhe will pick a gifted mortal artist and spend a yet unlimited amount of time with them, offering them the gift of artistic inspiration should they accept the leannĂĄn sĂdhe's advances. the leannĂĄn sĂdhe becomes their muse, their reason for being, until the fae has had their fill and bestows upon them the kiss of death that turns the mortal mad and eventually drains them of life. however --- should their advances be refused, and said immortal "immune" to the beguiling nature of the leannĂĄn sĂdhe, the fae will be bound to them not of their own will, and the gifted mortal is free to use their inspiration as they see fit, while the leannĂĄn sĂdhe gains nothing in return --- bound to the mortal until their death and unable to take in their blood or lifeforce, tainted by rejection. alternatively, if the mortal wastes the inspiration and talents bestowed upon them by the leannĂĄn sĂdhe, they will become vengeful and ill of spirit, killing them before they have the chance to flourish under their gift. in fitting with the western interpretation of vampirism, leannĂĄn sĂdhe can drain their mortal lovers within the kiss of death and taking in their blood and lifeforce, the love and admiration felt for the fae in the time they spent together, to enhance their beauty and power for further time.
occupation. in tĂr tairngire, rĂłisĂn like other fae is responsible for tending to the land and the same is said for above, replenishing ley lines and aiding the fertility of the land as she travels it. she is also the keeper of the claĂomh solais --- the sword of light, a relic brought by the tuatha dĂ© danann to ireland when they first claimed the land. in fantasy verses, travelers must come across her to claim the sword to defeat an enemy. above ground, in the modern world and its everchanging times --- she travels the land and preys upon mortals and their gifted artists. in earlier centuries she would occupy a castle and hoard her sonnets, poems, love songs and portraits all with herself as the muse featured at their centre. her castle is surrounded by vibrant plant life and mobile, mostly unseen to the naked mortal eye unless weakened and appearing in the low forests, preferably by a body of water. in the introduction of catholicism to gaelic ireland, few mortals became immune to her nature in disbelief of the old folklore, at one point finding herself enslaved to a mortal that took advantage of her gift, and in her weakened state she was thought to be a witch, a pĂșca (shapeshifting trickster of ill intent), or a vampire (of abhartach, the undead that was slain). they burned her home and her cherished treasures, almost claiming her life before the mortal she was bound to succumbed to a wound inflicted in protecting her, though an act of selfishness in trying to keeo hold of her. once freed, she enacted her revenge on the townspeople and left it near barren, sparing only the women and young children before fleeing back to tĂr tairngire to recuperate. there she is myth and legend, though never returning.
in the modern day, circa .... now, she's either an artist in her own right orrrr a head hunter/talent scout type. we haven't yet gotten that far. but i do fw the idea heavyy that she again bound to someone who used her for fame by using HER as the artist at some point in recent times and has only just been freed from this after their death. do you see the vision.

“ she's making a mess of the garden, lord / can't put me back, can't put me back, can't put me back ”
#đ–čâ—ž out.#yeah. finalising some thoughts today i think#i have to finish off thinking about how exactly both elements of her magic work.#the leannan sidhe (l-hian-nan shee) are fae that take human lovers/seek the love of mortals to kill and keep their blood to keep them young#and enhance their beauty. in a modern representation (which of course was written by a man) if her advances/“love” are refused she then#serves the mortal as their slave and still as their muse but begrudgingly and without getting anything in return.#if you accept her she will grant you inspiration and adoration and you are hers. not even in death can you escape her#the only way to escape her is to find someone to replace you as her prey.#but this affair with her leads to a brief life and death surrounded by madness and despair as she leaves you.#at the end of the day she isn't a vampire --- she's a faerie with vampiric tendencies but anyone who looked at her would think. vampire.#she belongs to the tuatha de dannan (tribe of the gods) and services the fertility of the land with powers related to the earth and element#in reference to her rejection leading to enslavement i think in this case it works in a way of immunity to her advancement.#thus trapping her with you instead of being stuck with her. which then you're able to use her ability to inspire and use her as a muse.#but its forced and you can choose to let her go or keep her. eventually you'll die because you won't be immune to aging or illness.#but she's stuck until that point. which i think has happened to her once maybe.#i like the idea of modern day talent scout but i also think of her reaching further and being a celebrity with adoring fans. hmm.#i think its worse if a woman enslaved her. just saying.#men she rips apart for fun on a weekly basis but the feeling of being stuck with a woman that was. immune to her “love” and instead#chose to keep her caged with her and use what she would have given her. yaur. anyway#still thinking#alternatively man who in the modern day (perhaps 1960s or something) used her for fame. ill think#she DOES go after men though.#but she is a lesbian <3 romantic love + intimacy is reserved for women. hence i think it hurts more if a woman rejected her + in turn held#her there against her will. yeah. you see the vision im sure

your inexplicable devotion to me is splattered against every wall of my gauntly abode, the blood of a cherry tucked into your scabbed knees as you kneel before me, an offering, foiled in discomfort and at my disposal. all i bid you is the lowered croak of my own heartstrings, an incarnation of sufferings plays a melody to your nuanced glance, (but the keys are are all flat)âžșevery reverberation for me rivals your human instinct, but you ignore the gospel knotting your throat and erupt sweet nothings.
nuair a thiocas an bås ní imeoidh sé folamh, when death comes, she will not go empty-handed.
