Morgan blinked her blue eyes to make sure she hadn’t fallen asleep mid-conversation. Had Andris just admitted to caring about her? Out loud? In her presence? He had. Without a moment’s hesitation, the English Princess jumped to her feet and quite literally launched herself at her brother. “Chalk it up to my overly zealous imagination.” While hugging him tightly, Morgan grinned happily. How could she possibly concern herself with the likings of another royal when for the first time in what felt like forever, things in her life were actually starting to fall into place. 

“Thank you,” she mumbled before dropping her arms and taking a step back, “For caring, I mean. It really does means the world to me. And, yes.  You’re right. I did come here for your approval.” She acquiesced, canting her head as she peered over at him, “That being said, I can assure you, Gabe has no intention of hurting me. He’s made it clear that I am who he wants and - I believe him.” 

She blew out a breath and laughed, “However, since I know how you feel about him and his character, how about we make a small sibling wager? I am so confidant that he and I will pass all of life’s unexpected tests that if for some reason we do end up parting ways, I will bake and hand deliver to you, two dozen kakaós tekercs. Deal?” 

   The sudden lunge-hug took him by surprise, as widened hazel hues remained to be the only reactive part of him. Standing rooted to his spot, Andris donned disgusted expression, cringing at the needless display of physical affection. ❝Okay, that’s enough.❞ he huffed, refusing to return the embrace.

   When she did, the Hungarian prince suddenly looked relieved. ❝No hugs.❞ he warned, in any case she wanted another on in the future. ❝Just... no.❞ Even with the caring he could extend to her, it was still different to be physically affectionate and all. Andris had grown up with none of that soft crap in his family; he certainly didn’t need to start it now..

   ❝Also, for the record, I don’t trust him.❞ In any case that wasn’t clear yet, he sought best to drive the point. ❝But I’ll take you on that bet.❞ After all, he wasn’t one to turn it down. ❝If you guys ‘last’, then I’ll make the kakaos tekercs myself and deliver them to you.❞ It was only fair he return a proper wager. 

   Extending a hand in her direction, a brow arched. ❝Deal.❞

For a few seconds, he paused, before concluding, ❝Well, it’s his loss. You’re amazing as fuck and if he doesn’t realise it, then he’s dumb.❞

   In the real world, Andris and Waverly could cause serious damage. They were equal parts stunning, smart, and devilish -- a recipe for beautiful chaos, surely. ❝I normally don’t let people do that but for you? Eh, I could give you a one-time pass.❞ It wasn’t hard to be lenient with his ‘twin’, seeing as he did adore her entirely so.

   Following after Mina’s sudden mood shift, Andris reflected it back. And as they settled into the lounge, he remained warily attentive, listening to her explanation. 

   ❝Is this about Luka?❞ he inquired, needing more details. True, their situation was complex enough as it is. And to have this additional layer of candid honesty didn’t entirely make things any easier on them. There was a fine line that they needed to learn how to walk on, without giving away too much. Nothing about them would ever be easy.

   A defeated sigh left his lips; his whole demeanour, deflating. ❝It’s just hard, you know?❞ Eyes peered to lock in with hers. ❝It’s not simple between us.❞
