Re-reading the series kinda shows much is just made on the spot in writing. When I got up to the part about Bloodclan I realised something. Bloodclan should have been Skyclan as made up of their survivors. The idea that skyclan just disappeared into kitty-pet lineage and rogues was cool with day-warriors but i feel like it’d be cooler if they become some form of blood clan in the city.

Some of their clan stayed in the forest with the other clans, and while they looked for new territory some were trapped by two legs or decided to just stay with them meanwhile those who stayed loyal made their way further into the concrete jungle. Due to their drastic change in environments the clan also changed. 

Medicine cats became borderline useless as herbs couldn't grow in a city due to pollution and starclan stayed silent, so they were slowly phased out becoming more story tellers focused on preserving and sharing information some of that is how to care for injuries but they are more focused general knowledge. 

Some hunters become guards because urban foxes are more tenacious and stray dogs a lot more common not to mention the risk of other cats or even opportunistic birds. 

The integration of kitty-pets of rogues make them have little prejudice to those parties just viewing them all as “different” and “not Bloodclan/Skyclan” and the clan on the whole being a lot more multicultural, to the point there were not only cats who kept their starclan faith but also other faiths in the clan or even those who mix those faiths. 

Idk i just wish all the clans weren’t pretty much the exact the same now and there were more differences between clans. It’d be cool that when had to restore skyclan he found Bloodclan thriving after Scourges death (if he died) and had to basically try and tell them to leave their whole culture around to join the cats who drove them out originally as the cat who killed their last leader. Then have some actual complex thoughts on warrior culture and if he is actually in the right or not.

This would never work in WCs lore but I love playing with the idea of Medicine Cats being the only ones who can interact with Starclan while still alive.

When a Deputy seeks their nine lives, the Medicine Cat escorts them to the Moonstone and is responsible for killing the Deputy. If deemed unworthy of leadership, they will remain dead. If deemed worthy, they are raised with their nine lives- but the spirits of their nine vanish as the Leader dies nine times.

I want to give Starclan more gravity in my WC universe and this was my first idea. Especially with the nine lives ceremony, I believe the cats sacrificing their eternal afterlife to create leaders gives it more meaning than the current system.

Bro i just had a dream that there were warrior cat picture books that showed all the cats with their pelt colouring's and the genetics of said pelts along with the genetics on pelt lengths along with little things that cats have inherited from their parents like  Hawkfrost inheriting darker tabby points. 

I wish those picture books were real.

Right, so I had this idea to do Warriors-style cats that are based off the Zodiac. The idea is to have at least one cat per zodiac month, this will sorta be an exercise to actually get better at drawing cats.

Well I started this Scorpio cat and had the outline like 80% done then I started to move so this got pushed onto the back burner but I realised the other day that no matter what I do ill be a week late out of the Scorpio season as it ended on the 21st. First one is late, isn't that a good start? 

Under the cut is how this cat is Scorpio based.

Different sites say different colours are ‘good’ colours for Scorpio but the majority seemed to say red, specifically scarlet and rust. Scorpio is also a water sign so I basically had the colours immediately, red fur and blue eyes. I decided to give them a more rust-red fur than scarlet meanwhile the eyes I wanted to be cobalt blue as that's the blood colour for those who have the Scorpio sign in Homestuck.

The stars/spots on the pelt are (surprise, surprise) the constellation of Scorpio.

Scorpios are said to be rather calm and cool who also have mysterious-esque behaviour. They’re also known to be brave and fierce who are good leaders but have the downfall of being violent, distrustful as well as secretive. 

I wanted to portray them as sorta cool and indifferent but IDK if I pulled that off at all. 

Now for their name, I don't really see them as male or female and im kinda stuck on their name. Since they’re a water base sing I was thinking the prefix Torrent originally, however, I think they’re far too red for the prefix imo so im thinking Heather since that's the Scorpio flower and then Stream for the water base and the fact a stream can be calm like a Scorpio but also violent like a Scorpio.

If not for Heatherstream what would you name them? (id love to hear alternatives)

I haven't drawn a cat in like a year and I couldn’t get the head right so Daisystep is going to have a PHAT head for awhile.

She is sorta a mixture of my past two medicine cat oc's Willowcloud and Daisyspot (guess which one she takes after more).

I really liked Willowcloud and she’ll always have a place in my heart as my first med cat oc however I now find her to be a stereotypical cheery, naive med cat. That and the name is so common I feel like everyone and their grandmother has had a warrior oc with the prefix willow. 

Daisyspot was an antithesis to that. She was caring but crude and pig-headed, i now find her to be too whiny. She was a bit too young to be a med cat which caused her to be egotistical rather than away of her shortcomings due a short amount of training time.

Anyhow onto the actual oc. 

Daisystep has a strong moral compass and will argue with cats who disagree with her seeing them as ‘just wrong’. This moral compass can and has caused her directly go against her leader's words several times, she has even gone to lengths of faking signs from starclan to do what she sees is right.

 When a bunch of abandoned kitty pets come into the clan ill begging for help Daisystep wants to help however her leader sends them away, she argues with the leader saying how one of the kitty pets are pregnant with kits but her leader tells her to step down and that unless Starclan came down themselves he would not help kitty pets. 

Daisystep knows that Starclan will be quiet about this as they only care about clan cats and kits that can become clan cats but she doesn’t, they're all cats and cats deserve help especially if it’s at no risk to her or her clan.

She fakes a sign from Starclan and is given permission to help the kitty pets. Several moons later a group of rogues are causing trouble for the clan do to the fact the rogues simply have more numbers than them. The deputy is sent into the near town to see if they can get any help from the town clan of cats and lo and behold the mate of the leader is one of the kitty pets they helped out. Due to the fact that the clans healed their mate they offer help in extra warriors and are able to drive off the rogues.

Starclan tells Daisystep what she did was good but she should have gone about it a different way. Daisystep promises that it was only one time, Daisystep lied.

She is a happy, caring cat who will not judge you. She’ll listen carefully and offer as much help she can provide without coming off as overbearing. She preaches peace and belives wholly that if cats got off their high branch they could have true peace between clans. Other cats think she’s taking too many poppy seeds.

 Although her motives are good she is incredibly manipulative and they do say the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

If you give a cat/molly/tom a mouse today, they'll ask for a deer tomorrow- a cautionary phrase meaning to be careful of what favors you do for others. It is also used as a joke phrase

Don't leap off of tall cliffs- don't jump to conclusions

Like a deer in a rock field- a cat who is being very noisy or clumsy

You're about as slick as honey in Leafbare- refers to a cat who thinks they are clever/sneaky but really aren't

Scratching at the wrong tree- when a cat make a wrong assumption, usually about another cat

Looking shaggy in the scruff- a cat who looks old; does not always refer to an old cat though

So, Let’s talk about GIR: An exhaustive character analysis

Remember I’ve been mentioning on my blog for days now I would maybe or not dedicate an entire character analysis to Gir at some point or another. Well, here we are. This is it!

I’m mainly making this because these are the observations I have made and I haven’t really seen anyone else talk about them. But I have a feeling people might have been talking about this since the early 200′s. I don’t know. I just got here. I would use a lot more screenshots to support my claims, but I am always lazy when I need to look for screenshots myself. Some of these screenshots might be low def because of that.

Some of this will be theory and speculation near the end but I have a feeling a lot of the stuff I talk about are things that the fandom might have discussed in length? I mean, it’s a pretty obvious thing that Gir is, for lack of a better word, “insane” but… I don’t know.. These are just some things that stuck out to me watching the show for the first time.

Am I perhaps looking too deep into a cartoon again? Yes. Obviously. All the time. But it’s still fun to speculate about these things. I tend to do this even more with shows that got canceled too early or received a lot of man-handling from editors. It’s my bread and butter. 

Disclaimer, I will be using the all caps GIR when referring to him as a robot and the normal spelling of Gir when referring to him as a character. I hope that won’t bother anyone that I switch back and forth, but here we go.
