Apollo gently cupped her cheek a moment later, thumb brushing over the skin again. The water from his wet hand was leaving small trails of glistening wetness along her skin. It was almost mesmerizing how it sparkled and made her seem even brighter. For a moment, Apollo wondered if Cupid was nearby...or if this was Eros' doing. The way he felt. But it felt more natural than anything else. He leaned his head a bit closer, cocking it sideways slightly. "Why?"

Apollo nodded, a proud smile pulling at his lips. His dolphins were always a sense of pride for him. Especially when others thought they were as amazing as he knew they were. He swam a bit closer to her, the rest of his dolphins following closely behind. “Aren’t they?”

He could tell she was nervous. From the way her body seemed to tense just slightly the closer he moved, the way her cheeks turned a bright red...It was adorable, if he was entirely honest. Again, Apollo reached out to brush a knuckle over the redness peppering her cheeks. "You're blushing." 

Apollo nodded, a proud smile pulling at his lips. His dolphins were always a sense of pride for him. Especially when others thought they were as amazing as he knew they were. He swam a bit closer to her, the rest of his dolphins following closely behind. “Aren’t they?”

He reached out after a moment to brush his knuckles over her cheek, before gently tucking some loose hair behind her ear. Apollo had had many lovers over the years, but it was still so easy for him to fall into the motions of it all over again. His eyes found hers as he moved another step closer, his smirk growing and brightening his features. "I am too. For once, my dear cousin has introduced me to someone worthy of my time."

Apollo nodded, a proud smile pulling at his lips. His dolphins were always a sense of pride for him. Especially when others thought they were as amazing as he knew they were. He swam a bit closer to her, the rest of his dolphins following closely behind. “Aren’t they?”

Apollo smirked and watched her, head tilting downwards just slightly so he was peering at her from beneath his lashes. She truly was beautiful, the more he allowed himself to stare. And his dolphins liked her. That was a plus all on it's own. He took a small step or two closer, always loving the feel of the sand between his toes. "I wonder why we haven't met until now. I feel like I know everyone."

He waded out towards his dolphins, before ducking below the water, glancing around to find her, smirking lazily when he does. He resurfaces quickly, nudging one of his dolphins gently with his nose. “Go get her. Gently.”

Apollo's head tilted back as he let out a soft laugh, his smile growing wider. "Ahh! But it was quite fair! They like you already."

Apollo watched her with an amused smile, before quickly heading into the water again. She was open to a good challenge…Apollo loved a good challenge. He waded out towards his dolphins, before ducking below the water, glancing around to find her, smirking lazily when he does. He resurfaces quickly, nudging one of his dolphins gently with his nose. “Go get her. Gently.”

With a smirk and wink, her clothes quickly changed from what she'd had on before to a bathing suit. A bright, polka dotted bikini. "Is that suitable? I can switch it to something else if you'd prefer."

Apollo cocked his head a bit as he glanced over, brows raising up his forehead. "Well, if you don't mind...I could magic one onto you easily."

Apollo gasped, nose wrinkling as he crossed his arms over his chest and hissed in her direction. "You swore you would never speak of that!"

Melody glanced around at Apollo. 

“So I guess we’re married for three days.” A blush rose to her cheeks and she tried to cover it up. She failed, of course.

Apollo leaned closer to nudge her a bit again, before he shook his head and huffed softly. "I wouldn't let even you put up metallic dolphins anywhere in my vicinity. That sounds even tackier than your old wallpaper," he wrinkled his nose at the thought. "Now get outta here. You've got matchmaking to do."

In these moments, Apollo truly appreciated the short times he was able to spend with her. They were often apart, doing their different duties amongst mankind. And if he was honest, he never noticed her absence when he was busy. His mind was always so taken over that it was impossible to think about much else. 

He reached out to tickle her sides gently, before pulling her in for a gentle hug. “I suppose you must get back to matchmaking for now. Promise you will let me know when you’re heading back home? I’ll come with you.”

Nodding eagerly, Eros squeezed back, kissing his shoulder softly since she was too short next to him to reach his cheek.

“Perfect! Or…well, just head to Paris around sunset. I’ll meet you there. You remember where the apartment is, yes?”
