As much as I voted Wrightworth... I think I'm objectively wrong?
Miles and Phoenix have this rich dynamic. It's raw and developed upon throughout the games - there's such a clear sense of trust and love and care between the two of them that you could only get with that.
Apollo and Klavier on the hand? Absolute shit show. They met in court, what, a MONTH after Klavier's brother'd been locked up for murder? Klavier's brother, who was also Apollo's MENTOR, who Apollo trusted and looked up to almost as much as Phoenix Wright, who - need I remind you - FORGED EVIDENCE IN THE TRIAL TO GET KRISTOPH GAVIN, KLAVIER'S BROTHER, LOCKED UP FOR HIS MANY CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.
It's like these two were born to repel from each-other. That kind of trauma doesn't bring you close into a relationship. Only circumstance does. And in any other situation than the one they were in, they would've never clicked. Imagine how horrible it would've been to go on a first date with a guy, find out his last name was Gavin, and then have both of you realise how screwed up this is. Both sides of the coin - "oh, you're the person who convicted my brother" and "oh, you're the brother of the mentor I had to lock up" - are horrid! Not to mention, they just wouldn't have dated -- Apollo isn't the type to go for superstars, and Klavier isn't the type to... well, actually, maybe he is the type to go for struggling defense attorneys. And yet.
The MOMENT they meet, the connection is so OBVIOUS. Because they're in this situation that allows them to discuss, converse, and banter at each-other until they form a bond. Intentional or not, Apollo and Klavier's relationship blossomed because of their love for the court. Both Klavier and Apollo should've quit the law, objectively. Apollo's heroes were dwindled to nothing before him, Klavier's own brother turned against any kind of just existence - that should've poisoned the law for good, for both of them. But they didn't turn back, they pushed forward, and met each-other.
And also that dialogue is fuckin' gay or wtvrrrrrr

Genuinely not trying to attack anyone's interpretations here but I really do not think Kristoph ever tried to poison (or otherwise kill) Phoenix (or Trucy or Apollo or Klavier). I think his extreme paranoia about, like, everything is pretty secure evidence of that.
I prefer the headcanon that he was perfectly pleasant, if a bit passive-aggressive at times, always in that beatific "I didn't mean anything by it" way. I think he picked Phoenix up from work and dropped Trucy off at school. I think he bought them gifts and helped cook dinner and left the smell of his cologne on Phoenix's towels. I think he made himself totally indispensable to them. I think he slowly dripped into the veins of Phoenix's life, lacing through the network of love and stability Phoenix slowly started to regrow, not knowing how much danger you're in when you're that deep into enemy territory. Still watching his back not knowing that he'd made himself surrounded. I think he left parts of himself in Phoenix's life not knowing they'd be lost forever.
I think Kristoph was the poison.

@gumworthweek 2023 Day 1 - Fancy Food / Comfort Food
Imagine Gumshoe bringing Edgeworth oranges for lunch every once in a while to cheer him up, and then after they're together it becomes kinda like a symbol of love between them, and they always make sure to share an orange on their anniversary, sappy romantics that they are.

Cherry blossoms, forget-me-nots & nerines 🌱
According to the Japanese meaning of flowers:
#1 Cherry blossoms = the impermanent nature of life
#2 Forget-me-nots = memories, true friendship
#3 Nerines = the anticipation of meeting again

HELP ME JESUS CHRIST THIS THIS THIS HTIS THIS THIS THITSHTSIHTSIHT THIS OH MYGOD THIS. APOLLO JUSTICE.. WHAT THE FUCK APOOLLLLOOO..
GUYS I LITERALLY CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE BECAUSE I KEEP THINKING ABOUT GAVINNERS FANFICTION ITS BEEN LIKE ACTUALLY MONTHS SINCE I LAST POSTED ABOUT THIS BUT OH MY GOD GAVINNERS FANFICTION I THINK I NEED TO DRAW THIS. I am an ADVOCATE that in a parallel universe, Apollo Justice had a Gavinners hyperfixation. Fuck, maybe even in THIS universe.
I can't tell what's funnier. The idea that Apollo Justice was the most well-known fan-poster about the Gavinners and then gaslit everyone into thinking he'd never heard of Klavier. OR. THE IDEA THAT APOLLO JUSTICE ONLY CONSUMES LAW INFORMATION AND SOMEHOW MANAGED TO IGNORE THE GAVINNERS AS A SENSATION ENTIRELY.

I don’t think we talk enough about how both Klavier and Apollo have gotten strip-searched at an airport before (Klavier when he was making his trip to Borginia in aa4 and Apollo going to Khura’in in soj [I think])
There might be a fic in that

Spoilers for all ace attorney games! I spent almost 3 years working on this on and off, and I'm so proud of myself to have stuck with it until the end. The way I chose the lawyers was that they had to be involved in more than one case. Please enjoy!

I DONT HAVE A DANGANRONPA BLOG BUT I HAVE A GOD DAMN ACE ATTORNEY BLOG OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD KOMAHINA ACE ATTORNEY OH MY GOD
I think that Komaeda being a prosecutor would honestly be the most horrific thing humanely possible. Defence attorney Hinata, oh my GOD. There's so much to be done with this idea and I don't even know what to say. If it's role swap directly, with a parallel of Miles to Komaeda and Phoenix to Hinata, that makes it FUNNIER. CHIAKI IS MAYA FEY. I WOULD LOSE MY MIND.

I just finished watching the ace attorney trilogy and can tell you that’s the gayest game I’ve ever seen😳

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. DIE HARD APOLLO JUSTICE FAN HERE.
I THINK APOLLO'S STORY IS PERFECTLY COHESIVE. They didn't just 'add random stuff' - okay maybe they did but. Ugh. I know you probably didn't intend for this to be like. A thing. But I am mentally ill about Apollo Justice.
it fits thematically for him not to say anything about his past. The first game, he's surrounded by an entirely new cast of people. He's not going to trauma dump to his mentor, or his law idol, or his weird girl (and sister), because he barely knows them! AA stays true to the 'prosecutor trauma yes, defence trauma no' - Klavier and Kristoph, for example! We don't deserve to know Apollo's backstory; there is no reason for us to know Apollo's backstory in AJ:AA! The cohesive narrative, whilst occasionally clunky, really fits. His relationship with Clay and his relationship with Nahyuta - these are things that we don't need to know because they are not inherently important to the plot. Hell, being totally honest, would Phoenix have mentioned Larry that much in general if he wasn't: 1. The first defendant. 2. Vaguely related to Miles by backstory, the person who was actually relevant.
NO!!! CLAY WASN'T MENTIONED BECAUSE OF COURSE APOLLO ISN'T GOING TO RANDOMLY BRING UP HIS CHILDHOOD FRIENDS! HE ALSO ISN'T GOING TO RANDOMLY BRING UP HIS TRAUMATIC PAST IN KHURA'IN!!! IT! MAKES! SENSE!
Do you fuckers not remember that Phoenix never mentioned like half his backstory until the third game? You go on and on complaining about how the Apollo Justice Trilogy is not cohesive due to the insert of random backstories, and do you seriously not remember when they changed Phoenix's story of becoming a lawyer from being defended by Edgeworth as a child to literally being a victim of attempted murder from his so-called girlfriend? Complain all you want about him not being the protagonist or whatever (Athena is cooler and I'm glad DD changed directions, stay mad), however the AJ trilogy stays true to the series by adding in random information that initially seems jarring or out of place in comparison to what we knew earlier. Just like how one would expect Apollo to mention his tragic backstory of being abandoned earlier, wouldn't one expect Phoenix to bring up Dahlia sooner? Get well soon y'all xoxo
