ik lots of people get intimidated by the sheer breadth of the dc comics universe but honestly for me it's gotten to the point that i feel comforted by it. i can wind up back in this obsession every few months and still have more new things to read and talk about. i can wander from young justice to batgirl to the question to, somehow, jli. whenever my dc phase kicks in again, i always start and end in completely different places and it's so nice, just being able to eat from this huge buffet
okay yes it's a shitty buffet and occasionally i have to be restrained from attacking the chefs with forks and knives, but it's a buffet, and the food is unlimited. and hey! at least i get to express my finals stress through graphic cartoonish death threats at comicbook writers who don't even know i exist 馃し

noticing as I learn different languages I tend to think using the shortest word from any of those languages, so for example instead of "this is" or "dette er", I'll just automatically think "c'est"
So my proposal is a creole of every language in which we find the shortest syllabic way to say every single word and speak at maximum efficiency
#this is a pretty solid tenet (idk if tenet is the right word) of bi/multilingualism yeah#like codeswitching is usually a matter of expertise or of social context or of convenience the latter is what the post refers to#which is basically how i taglish on my twitter account. i dont do it as much here bc there's no translate button on tumblr posts and i feel#bad about it for some reason sgjdhdjd

#on screen it's kinda hard to tell that the insects are there but there's at least 6 in the shot#they kinda duck in and out so it's hard to get a photo that really expresses how many there are but .
