Remember how LSD has failed to protect victims of sexual assault time and time again. Remember how I know multiple people who have been sexually assaulted at that fucking school, but didnt say anything for reasons like this. Remember that time I never said anything for this exact fucking reason. Remember that time a girl was raped in the parking lot and when she came forward half the school painted her attackers fucking jersey number on their skin at the next football game. Remember that time that Eastern High School has failed repeatedly to protect their students, to listen to their students. Has failed to create a safe space for their students. Remember that time I was silenced for talking about contraceptives but somehow it's okay for the males in our class to go on degrading myself and my friends joking about what they would do to us sexually?

Remember that time I spent 4 years in a building that made it alarmingly clear to me that the only thing that mattered to the majority of the staff, was saving their own asses, and looking nice from the outside. We were told time and time again all that mattered was getting those test scores up and looking like change was in place. "Operation Cover-up" an operation targeted specifically at the girls, shamed them for their skin and came around every year to remind us that a boy's education is more important than a girl's. Which, is a big part in this whole world of victim blaming. Let's talk about how when I walk into the school now, I still hear about "operation cover up" and I hear nothing about new systems put into place to help keep this from happening.

This is preventable, so someone needs to be responsible for preventing it. Someone needs to be responsible for letting this happen. Someone needs to be responsible for stepping up and making real changes after things like this happen. Someone needs to be responsible for protecting victims of sexual assault within the walls of this school. Yet, all that they've told the victims is that if you were attacked/assaulted, then you should be suspended, that you should be taken out of sports. That you deserve the same punishments that are dealt to your attacker, that you are not a victim-you're a problem, that you didn't try hard enough to stop it.

I keep hearing these voices from all directions shouting and clawing to keep Eastern open. Close that fucking horror show of a school and keep it closed

This coming Saturday, February 6, at 8pm local time, followers of “Roosh V”- noted sexist, racist, homophobic, and overall horrible monster (not a human being)- will be holding secret meetings to rally for rape to be legalized. You didn’t read this wrong THEY WANT RAPE TO BE LEGALIZED. 

This shit is dangerous af, and as they have barred anyone who isn’t male or straight, so we need all our white male allies to gather and shut this shit down. If you are a straight man of colour, please be careful. Even though the website says the meeting is for straight men of all races, the Roosh V following has also been known to be very racist and xenophobic.

Here is how the meeting will take place, as according to their website (I’m not going to link it because it does not deserve any hits, but all the info here is authentic- you may google and see for yourself):

We will have 165 meetings in 43 countries for our international meetup day on February 6, 2016 at 8PM local time. Hosts have been instructed to wait at the meeting point from 8:00-8:20pm before moving on to the final location. If you arrive at the meeting point at 8:21pm, you will miss the meetup. Arriving on time within the window is absolutely paramount.

To identify your fellow tribesmen, ask the following question to a man you suspect is there for the meetup: “Do you know where I can find a pet shop?” If you are asked this question, answer in the affirmative: “Yes, it’s right here.” You can then introduce yourself and get details about where to proceed at 8:20. If you ask someone for the pet shop and they appear confused or actually try to direct you to a real pet shop, they’re not there for the meetup.
