Ah, the Reverse-Kirby Effect

They’ve changed Ashley’s sprite from NA to JP. (NA on top, JP on bottom). It now includes her stuffed bear and she’s got a serious face.

To add onto this: Hinano!

Hinano is a veteran in her own right, and her Doppel proves as such

Her entire face and lower half is covered by the Doppel, and is well on her way to becoming like Homura. We can't even see her soul gem in this screenshot!

It’s known that older magical girls in Magia Record tend to have Doppels that are fused with their bodies.

Campanella, Yachiyo’s Doppel, is explicitly said to be “unable to completely separate herself from [Yachiyo’s] body” because Yachiyo is relatively old and a 7-year veteran to boot. It grows out of her arms and one of her legs.

Mifuyu’s Doppel, Hevelius, is also fused with her body; it grows out of her arms and tongue.

Talk about body horror.

These two cases establish a trend of MGs who are older AND have been contracted for a long time to be fused with their Doppels (Yachiyo and Mifuyu are 19, almost not-teenagers, and been MGs for 7 years).

This trend is continued by time traveller Homura.

She is fused with her Doppel to the point of becoming part of her Doppel’s glass body. This is because Homura is physically 14, but has gone through many time loops; she has spent much time as a magical girl.

If Yachiyo is the oldest, most experienced MG in Kamihama, Livia is the oldest playable character in the game.

Livia is surrounded on all sides except the front of her upper body and the top of her head. Her body is more attached to her Doppel than Yachiyo and Mifuyu, reflecting her greater experience and age.
