do u ever think ab how grover is the greatest searcher in camp half-blood history....... grover tracked down all four children of the big three — thalia, percy, bianca, and nico — he found the golden fleece, received a blessing from the wild, and then was the first person to see pan in a thousand years by tracking him down in an ever changing labyrinth...... and the council of cloven elders REALLY keep trying to take his license away

I already wrote about it, but I’m gonna repeat myself in a more cohesive way, because some Eren stans are pissing me off. ‘He would never consider abandoning Paradis, he’s not that selfish. It’s Mikasa who’s selfish and delusional.’ Nah.
1) First of all, having selfish desires doesn’t mean you’re gonna act on them. I’m sure there are theoretical timelines in which Erwin gets to the basement, Hanji doesn’t form the Alliance, Jean joins the Military Police, etc. Eren’s selfish desire to stay with Mikasa might have manifested another reality because of his coordinate powers, but the core of his conflict is the same as other scouts’. Give up your dream and die.
2) Chapter 1 clearly indicates that Eren experienced the alternative reality from chapter 138. Instead of wondering how eremika is sharing the same dream, some people in this fandom are determined to protect the fanon versions of characters. They’re doing this by slandering Mikasa and calling the visions she experienced a delusion. But it’s canon that Eren saw them too. ‘Eren would never abandon Paradis!!’ Maybe. What we know is that if he did abandon the island, he would do it for Mikasa.
3) The alternative reality explains Eren’s ‘What am I to you?’. Narratively, it makes perfect sense.
4) Eren asking Mikasa to discard the scarf and forget him explains chapter 112. Once again, the narrative dots connect.
5) Isayama loves Mikasa. She’s not delusional. People denying Eren’s feelings for her are.

Mikasa’s Destiny and Mikasa’s Choice
This chapter is about Mikasa solving her character arc and it has very interesting similarities with the Lost Girls spinoff.
The spin-off is essentially Mikasa’s dream of how things would have turned out if her parents had not died. She runs in an ideal world where she lives happily with them, but is still given the chance to meet Eren.
However, even if Mikasa can literally control every aspect of that world, she is still not able to save Eren. She disbands the Survey Corps and closes the Walls Doors. Despite all this, Eren keeps trying to go outside and to leave her… and dies trying to fly away.
Here, there is a very similar idea:
Mikasa wants to escape to her “home” and sees an alternative reality, a dream where she and Eren have run away from war and Marley.
They are together, but things are not perfect:
Why can’t Mikasa stay there, but still, why is it important that she had a “long dream” about it?

CHAPTER 138 SPOILERS BELOW
Jean and Connie have always been a duo. it's always them together, their friendship was definitely beautiful and i always found comfort in their goofiness and overall their friendship as a whole. hopefully they'll get to see Sasha again some day ♡.

pls, i hate when people hc that eren is a f!boy. he literally wouldn’t be lmao. even in modern au, that’s so unrealistic for his character.
NO OMFG ME TOO.
it really bothers me too, like y'all really think Eren would fuck around with peoples feelings? i do agree it's very unrealistic, he's a dork not a player damn

i wanted to ask for you opinion on s4 eren. bc i know there’s a LOT of different opinions. sorry if you’ve already answered this but i am curious. do you think all of the actions are justified? (i do, personally) do you think he’s gone off the deep end and like is just evil likeeee what is your opinion? 👁
so given what i’ve read in the manga and what happens in the show so far there’s one thing that me and anybody who watches the show can see; that eren is different. a lot of people don’t understand eren because they choose not to go in depth with his character and choose to compare his character to others, it’s pretty sad. my personal thoughts on eren is that he is not a good character or a bad character, he is a person who can do bad things and can do good things, and this doesn’t only go for eren, this goes for every character in attack on titan. every character is a person who is fighting for what they believe in, whether it be the eldians, the survey corps, eren, the jaegerists, warriors, marleyans, etc. it’s down to you the person watching to decide who is “right” and who is “wrong”, but the way i see it how can anybody be morally “right” when everything they’re all doing is “wrong”? eren saw the future, eren’s trying to gain the freedom that he wanted ever since he was a kid not even really for him, but for his friends, for his people that will live after him. he’s doing what he has to do, he’s seen everybody who was going to die, but for his goal that he’s longed for, it simply has to happen in his eyes.
his actions? they’re pretty horrible but they must be done. i mean honestly, people are pretty hypocritical when it comes to the whole storming marley thing when reiner literally did the same thing. there’s a lot of stuff people are angry about besides that but most of his actions are for a reason. do i justify his actions? most of them are pretty justifiable. and in saying they’re justifiable i agree that the warriors actions are justifiable too, and that includes what happened in episode 8 with gabi. i did not like that it happened but it did because of what gabi is fighting for.
eren did not go off the deep end but he is in a dark place. eren is not evil eren is like i said a person who can do bad or good things. remember the talk armin had with annie in chapter 31? he says;
“a good person? i don’t really like that phrase... i mean that’s just what you call someone who acts in a way that is beneficial to you. i don’t think that anyone can act in a way that benefits everyone. even if you’re being helpful to one person you might still be a bad person to someone else.”
eren, nor can anyone in attack on titan act in a way that benefits everyone. he’s doing what he’s doing to benefit the people closest to him even if it doesn’t benefit him.
as a mere watcher of attack on titan i see what everybody is fighting for and understand everybody, and obviously that includes eren.
thanks for coming to my ted talk!
